I've heard good things about this place and it did not disappoint! We got the don daisy on ciabatta, electric sliders (Sinatra and gobble ghoul), and big cheese on sourdough for my son. They really pack the meat in these sandwiches so you can definitely share a sandwich or eat the whole thing if you're really hungry. I personally don't care for most deli meat like turkey breast, ham, etc. but the prosciutto, salami, capocollo, and even turkey breast were all great quality and delicious. I'm not sure why it took me so long to try Don Daisy's, but I finally made it happen and it was worth the wait. I'm not a big pork eater, but I felt like I had to try the classic Don Daisy and I'm glad I did. What really stands out is how balanced these sandwiches are. The Don Daisy had incredible sauces and aiolis with the perfect mix of textures and flavors. It feels very closed in. We ate half a sandwich at the concert and brought the other halves home to eat the next day. I suggest you eat the sandwich that same day, or else the ingredients make your bread soggy. The ones we ate at the concert, though were delicious. So far I have only tried Figgeta 'Bout It, twice within the last week, and boy, I can't Figgeta about it. Something about this diabolical combo of fig jam and crumbled feta, with those expertly-stacked cucumbers and jalapeños, and that nice pop of freshness from the arugula, just works. The slight saltiness of the prosciutto balances well with the sweet jam, and crunchy kettle chips add a nice textural element. First time I ordered, I ordered one sandwich for myself with turkey on ciabatta. It was so massive that I only was able to eat half at lunch. I packed the rest and was able to eat for lunch the next day. The second time, my friend and I split one, also with turkey but on the regular sliced bread. Wow! Don Daisy's strong-arms some of the best homemade sandwiches around. After drooling over the reviews from my fellow Yelpers, I decided to stop in and check it out for myself. So glad I did. A very simple storefront, with inviting vibrant colors and incredibly friendly staff await those that come inside to order. The menu is simple, mob-themed and delicious. There are no shakedowns, except that you'll be reaching into your wallet again and again to pay off your hunger debt. After speaking with the extremely nice young woman at the counter and asking for her recommendations, I went with the H.Y.L.T.A (How You Like Them Apples) $16.00 sando. The description on this one blew my mind: Maple-glazed turkey, havarti, cucumbers, jalapeños, granny smith apples, hot honey, crushed kettle chips, herbed aioli on ciabatta. You could also opt for sourdough, but trust me, ciabatta is where you want to be. Lucky enough to score a spot at one of the only two tables inside to eat, my sandwich was prepared a quickly and given to me in less than 10 minutes. Opening up the package, I was excited to see that the sandwich was large and packed full of incredible flavor combinations. I opted for the jalapeños on the side, so that I could take in all of the other yummy ingredients first. Each bite was outstanding and plentiful. The ciabatta bread is outstanding. Incredibly soft and fresh. The crunch of the chips with the sweetness of the honey and apples was mesmerizing. I added a couple of jalapeños to the second half of the sandwich and it definitely provided a little added heat, but not enough to overpower the other ingredients. In fact, it created some wonderful balance of spice and sweetness. The soft turkey slices were sweetened beautifully with the maple glaze. This was one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted as it was a completely tastebud sensory overload with each perfect bite. I was also luckily enough to speak with one of the workers who knew the owners and shared my thoughts with her. The outside of Don Daisy's is lowkey and unassuming, you might not even know it was there if you weren't looking for it. The inside is very understated, mostly configured for pickup orders, aligned with how most people probably order when visiting the establishment. I ordered online and arrived about 5 minutes early, there were no other patrons dining inside. The staff was very nice, updating me on the status of my order, which did end up being ready precisely when their system said it would. I was also offered some water while I waited. Parking can be an issue on that stretch of Wilson, but there is generally a good amount of public parking in Glendale, you might just have to walk a few minutes. The sandwich was very decently sized for the price. We ended up getting the Sinatra and Don Veggie. They were both nicely balanced, good freshness from the veggies and a nice lil kick from the jalapenos, a generous portion of meats, and some nice texture and crunch from the kettle chips. I am a big fan of jalapeños and if you also frequent taco shops and grab charred jalapeños to eat straight up, then you already know about jalapeño roulette. Sometimes, jalapeños have almost zero spice, and other times they can reach Serrano levels. It doesn't bother me, but it definitely can make the sandwich's spiciness quite variable from bite to bite. You also can't tell until you eat it, so if you're not good with spice, consider opting out of the jalapeños. If there was one thing, it would be cool to add additional variety for modifications, maybe some spouts or shredded carrots for a different texture, but I also get keeping a small and manageable menu for small businesses so it's not a huge deal. I'm definitely going to be going back to try the whole menu! read more

The prosciutto on all 3 was yummy. 1. The Don Daisy on sourdough. 2. The Sinatra in a ciabatta 3. The fogeta about it it in a ciabatta- I asked for it without jalapeños. This has some fig jam. I liked the complexity of the different flavors on this one. But I have to say the Don Daisy was my favorite. I preferred the ciabatta to the sourdough. The crushed chips is my favorite thing about these sandwiches. So something to note, it doesn't taste as good if you refrigerate it and eat it the next day because the lovely crunch that you get from the chips is gone. The sandwiches are hearty and very filling.
