He told one of us never to come back, accusing him of not buying cigars from his humidor and only smoking his own. This was a complete lie. Great Tobacco store and cigar lounge. Really nice inside and bigger than you would think from the outside. I'm not a big smoker but occasionally will break out my old meerschaum (think Sherlock Holmes) pipe for a smoke and whiskey after a good dinner. I stopped in today before work to pickup some fresh pipe tobacco and browse the cigars. One of the owners (Didn't get his name) popped up from his chair as soon as I entered to help me. I asked if they sell Baccarat cigars and they did! Baccarat cigars are a little sweet on the outside. Not everybody sells them. I took one of those and also got an ounce of some great smelling pipe tobacco. My stepson got me this really nice Colibri butane lighter. One of those lighters that feel real heavy in your hand. I really like it but have not been able to get to light for a really long time. I asked the gentlemen if he could take a look at it. He said gladly and worked on that thing for almost ten minutes. Right away he takes me to get a 5 pack package of monetecristo cigars. Telling me it's $70. And I believe him thinking he would actually help me out. Once I left I googled the pack he gave me through other cigar shops and found out it was $40 cigar pack. I looked up there Yelp to see the best place to help me out. What can I say about Fat Stogies other then its by far the best cigar lounge in the Valley? Well, its the Best Cigar Lounge in the Valley by Far! I have been going to Fat Stogies for over 10 years now, way before they had their Lounge, but from Day 1 they always made me feel like a VIP. When I first started going there they took the time to explain the different types of Cigars, if they were strong or mild, how they tasted and so forth. Jack turned me on to La Gloria Series R number 6 because I wanted a Strong Cigar with good flavor and ever since then (Scouts honor) I have only smoked that one cigar. The have a very good size humidor with a very large selection of cigars. If you cant find your new favorite cigar or even you old favorite cigar in there then you need to stop smoking swisher sweets, they have it all. All of their cigars are fresh, I have never seen any mold on a cigar like I have in a couple of other shops. The people that go there are great, you can sit next to a guy worth millions and a guy down on his luck and never know it. There is great conversation, with alot of laughs. From someone who has been going to years to the person who's first time it is all feel welcomed. Jack and Amo are neat freaks, the always keep the ashtrays clean, anything drink wise that is left around they clean it up right away. The floor is spotless and the place is always neat and tidy. The chairs are really comfortable and there is plenty of them. They have tvs on so you get to watch the big games, with great people, great cigars and just relax.
