Pizza in the wood oven
Jocielyn W.

First time to Fat Zach's. Atmosphere was cute, loved the wood burning pizza oven, employees very nice and helpful. Ordered the special 2 pizza's for $23 or something along those lines. They had combo's on menu but I custom ordered how I wanted. The pizza came, on a wooden pizza paddle, not sure what it's called. Looked good, was missing a topping I had asked for. Pizza very hot, toppings kind of slid right off and crust was very wet and very thin. It wasn't how I was expecting, it tasted ok, again very wet pizza and crust was too thin and didn't support the toppings. Might try again maybe an off day.

Stopped here before hitting the movies. Placed an order for the poly pig and first responder, also got an order of all flat lemon pepper wings. Our order taker said it would take about 15 mins. Or did. Our pizzas were good. I would have liked the bottom of the crust to be a little Crisper but she did tell me they were ru. I f out of wood and was having trouble maintaining the temperature. The wings were better than I expected. She shared they weren't fried but they were very crispy, I was able to get all flats, I could taste the lemon pepper and it was not overbearing. Overall we will surely visit again!!

Pickle pizza? Yes, try it! We had 5 different pizzas which were all good but the pickle was the most surprising! Yes, we will be back!

Ambiance is cool, fast casual! I got my pizza to go, customer service was high energy even if they were near closing! Love that! Ordered the NBD for the first time and I must say, in love!!!!!!! Pickle enthusiast it's a must try and soooo addicting! Try it!

I haven't been to Fat Zach's in so long (like since their grand opening in South Hill) and I heard about a dill pickle pizza here and just had to come back in to try it and give my review. I'm someone who appreciates a well made plain cheese and margarita pizza as well as the more unconventional flavors (yes I am one of those people who LOVES pineapple on a pizza- and no I'm not talking about the popular Hawaiian pizza cause I'm not a ham kind of girl but cheese and pineapple only or Pineapple with Jalapeños for the sweet and spicy kick HELL YESSS I'm in !! ) and I've had various takes on cheeseburger pizzas which of course included pickles as that's normally something you'd find on a cheeseburger and while it may sound odd, I really enjoyed the flavor. The #NBD (no big dill) pizza you can find at Fat Zachs has pickles combined with cheese, dill weed and ranch and those ingredients went fabulously together! If you like pickles, you'll likely find this pizza, dare I say, dill-icious ? I recommend getting the combo as it's only about $5 more (depending on which side you get) to get a side and drink. I went with the caprese salad which has always been one of my favorite salads and Minute Maid lemonade. Next time I come in I think I'll try their chicken wings as they seem to have a good variety of flavors! The food is good, ambiance is nice and laid back, workers are friendly.. all in all I'd say this place is kind of a big dill !

This was my first time eating here and I can hands down recommend this restaurant!!! The server, Gavin Parsons (I asked) was so respectful, courteous and upbeat that it made the whole experience worthwhile! From the food to the atmosphere to the genuine care and hospitality, this will definitely be a go-to for our pizza outings from this time forward!!!

Decided to try this place even though the price seemed a little high. Ordered the Family Fare for $60, called in the order and was told an hour which was fine. Husband got back with the order and they forgot to give the Caesar salad, so husband went back to get it! Comes back and it is basically just lettuce and Caesar dressing ( with bad pieces of lettuce in it). The garlic cheese bread seemed to be on the small side. Don't think we will be going back to this place again!

My pizza was served to me cold. My husband's pizza was incorrectly made. They remade it and let us keep the incorrect one.

We ordered the two pizza deal. The pickle pizza was surprisingly good. I wouldn't like run out to get it but it was definitely worth trying.

I busted a U-turn as it had me intrigued with the open flag signs and noticed there were food trucks and knew this place was new. You can easily miss the entrance if you aren't paying attention. LOL! There are two entrances to the parking lot. It is fairly small. There are two food trucks and 1 coffee/tea tiny truck: 1) Little India Puyallup 2) Backyard Pizza & Burgers 3) Mocha Stop Upon talking with the owners, they had stated they had just opened approximately 2-3 weeks ago. They have outdoor dining in the rear section of the food trucks. Canopies/Umbrellas covered the dining tables. A red tractor is in the outdoor space which allows the kids to play on while waiting or after eating. Outdoor space is clean and a relaxing vibe. I opted to eat Indian food on my first visit and would like to return to try the Backyard pizza and burgers. I ordered the butter chicken which comes with basmati rice $14.95. Ordered two garlic naan bread $3.95 and mango lassi $4.95. My food was served to me at my table. It was truly delicious and tasty. I really enjoyed eating outdoors that early evening. It was still warm and sunny. Service was excellent! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I plan to return again. =))

The burger is slightly better than fast food and the chicken sandwich was a terrible disappointment below fast food quality despite it taking nearly 20 minutes for my order. It was slightly better after I peeled the thick and salty batter off of it but the whole thing still looked stepped on with a wet cheap smashed bun and limp mayo lettuce with pretty much nothing else on it. I also suspect they raise their prices for visiting the town center so the food is completely not worth it and I don't think it was ever intended that their quickie crummy chicken sandwich or smashed up nothing burgers would be over $15 each as it's very much a lower tier food truck vibe and menu. Would I eat there again? No, I did it twice just to give them a chance and support a new business which id hoped was a passion project of a young person. The owner stopped by to check in on how much money they had made but should probably be a little more engaged with the actual product because the food is so mediocre and even with light traffic the employees were behind. Seems the menu changes a lot as well based on other reviews so make of that what you will. But I smell flash in the pan cash grab. I give it less than a year.

For those who have not yet attended a pumpkin patch alone at my age: it's awkward. I don't recommend it. After one quick lap around the pumpkins, rides, and awkward stares from overly paranoid parents, I retreated to Jake's Burgers. I think there were a couple of people in front of me in line, but, it didn't take long to order. I ordered the Jack burger, and it came out in just a few minutes. The Jack burger at Jake's comes with American cheese and bacon-- it's named for a person named Jack, not the cheese. A little confusing, but the burger was great. A lot of traditional smashburger places don't do enough produce, but they did. I loved that the burger was topped with a generous amount of lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and mustard. The burger itself was a true smashburger, with caramelized meat, and the cheese nearly melted into it. The basic brioche bun tasted very fresh. The bacon was great, too. Best of all, it was under eight bucks. The menu was small, and the flavor didn't stand out as anything different or special, but it was like a higher quality version of a Wendy's burger. They did also offer shakes and sides, but I was just there for the burger. For someone who loves basic, classic smashburgers, this place is great.
