    Frito Pie

After recently relocating to Washington state from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, I fortnately found Swagger's in Puyallup. It is the best Bbq either I or my family has ever eaten and I have already stopped three times. The pulled pork and brisket are tender and delicious and we have never had fall-off the bones ribs as good. Yesterday we tried the frito pie with brisket and we all loved it! Mother and son operation and they know what they are doing. I am addicted to the green beans with pork, bacon and oniin's and Mom's potato salad is wonderful as is the homemade Mac and cheese. Greg certainly knows his stuff around a smoker!! Some of the best food we have ever eaten. Thanks for the great job and service! I failed to mention that Greg really piles it on!! So yummy!

Brisket bites Mac n cheese Beans Corn bread

Home cooking!!! You could tell just from the passion of explaining what's in each item how good this food was gonna be. I had the brisket bites and they were so darn tender I didn't even need to chew. Mac & cheese was creamy and delicious. The amount of shredded brisket to beans ratio was heavily in favor of the meat, and I am not mad. Don't forget that delicious cornbread to soak it all up. I've been to a lot of barbecue spots across the US this one might be the juiciest brisket I've tried.

Baked beans, pork, Mac n cheese, corn bread, beef brisket.

Great service! Meat was tender and full of flavor. Sides were good and they provided a lot of food per order. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back

Brisket is tender and delicious. Mac n cheese is okay. Ribs are not bad as well. Service is great. They sell out fast.

Food is amazing. We usually go for the ribs, brisket bites, pulled pork, paninis and mac n cheese. Probably one of our favorite BBQ spots.

I busted a U-turn as it had me intrigued with the open flag signs and noticed there were food trucks and knew this place was new. You can easily miss the entrance if you aren't paying attention. LOL! There are two entrances to the parking lot. It is fairly small. There are two food trucks and 1 coffee/tea tiny truck: 1) Little India Puyallup 2) Backyard Pizza & Burgers 3) Mocha Stop Upon talking with the owners, they had stated they had just opened approximately 2-3 weeks ago. They have outdoor dining in the rear section of the food trucks. Canopies/Umbrellas covered the dining tables. A red tractor is in the outdoor space which allows the kids to play on while waiting or after eating. Outdoor space is clean and a relaxing vibe. I opted to eat Indian food on my first visit and would like to return to try the Backyard pizza and burgers. I ordered the butter chicken which comes with basmati rice $14.95. Ordered two garlic naan bread $3.95 and mango lassi $4.95. My food was served to me at my table. It was truly delicious and tasty. I really enjoyed eating outdoors that early evening. It was still warm and sunny. Service was excellent! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I plan to return again. =))

For those who have not yet attended a pumpkin patch alone at my age: it's awkward. I don't recommend it. After one quick lap around the pumpkins, rides, and awkward stares from overly paranoid parents, I retreated to Jake's Burgers. I think there were a couple of people in front of me in line, but, it didn't take long to order. I ordered the Jack burger, and it came out in just a few minutes. The Jack burger at Jake's comes with American cheese and bacon-- it's named for a person named Jack, not the cheese. A little confusing, but the burger was great. A lot of traditional smashburger places don't do enough produce, but they did. I loved that the burger was topped with a generous amount of lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and mustard. The burger itself was a true smashburger, with caramelized meat, and the cheese nearly melted into it. The basic brioche bun tasted very fresh. The bacon was great, too. Best of all, it was under eight bucks. The menu was small, and the flavor didn't stand out as anything different or special, but it was like a higher quality version of a Wendy's burger. They did also offer shakes and sides, but I was just there for the burger. For someone who loves basic, classic smashburgers, this place is great.

Service was fast friendly and efficient. The truck is beautiful and the menu is very easy to read, with ample choices without it being too much to choose from. The four of us ordered the Philly sandwich with tots, kids 2 tenders and tots, a blue raspberry lemonade and the gumbo collard greens. Got out just under $63 with the tip included and it was very worth it. Portion sizes are great and food quality was even better. The Philly was dressed with tomato, lettuce, onion, cheese and a sauce. Tasted like a gyro and a cheesesteak had a baby with good hair! That meat was tender juicy and flavorful! Not only was the toasted bread nice and soft, but it held up with all the meat that was stuffed into it. It was exactly how it should be, more meat than stuff. The kids tenders were cooked to perfection. Simple, crispy and juicy. Tots on both meals were crispy and seasoned well. We chose fry sauce for the tots and it did not disappoint. Very close in taste to the burger sauce at in-n-out. The star of the show was the gumbo collard greens! Babyyyyy!!! When I tell you she know how to make some soul food, believe me. The flavors coming out of that bowl had me tussling with my kids for the last bite. I've never tried adding greens to my gumbo before, but I might have to from now on. This experience, from start to finish, was one I want to have again and again. I recommend trying whatever soul food item she's offering on the menu when you visit. Someone walking by as we were waiting, said to get the wings with the "oohwee" sauce. I'll try that next since I see myself going back again and again. 10/10 recommend.
