First visit. Needs improvement. Only "gluten" sensitive option is a lettuce wrap- at a normal time that would be fine yet, who really wants lettuce right now?! I was invited by a friend so decided to take my chances. Ordered the Jack Deluxe with cheese on a lettuce wrap. Small fry. Dining area is a tent with good tables.. much appreciated. Might help to put in more trees for a wind barrier. Hard to hold all that paper down. When my buzzer went off, indicating my order was ready... my slip said "no lettuce"... odd for a "lettuce wrap"... I opened it. Sure enough- no lettuce and it was ON bun. no condiment were offered or provided either. I did go back to the window and staff agreed to remake my burger. Had to throw away a perfectly good one. There was a family ahead of me... same happened to them. It may be good to 1. Train your staff on accommodations 2. Have a gluten free bread option. (Lettuce wraps are terribly messy) Decent burger but I've definitely had better. read more

I stopped by here in the evening when buying my Christmas tree from Sterinos Farm and am pretty pleased with the milk shake I received! I did not order any of the hot food so I can't speak on that but the seasonal Apple Pie Shake was delicious. It tastes just like a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream! Super tasty. Service was good, it wasn't super super fast but fast enough for me for the evening. Definitely worth the stop for the shake. read more

Okay, so, when I found this food truck on Google Maps, I did not realize that it was literally parked on the edge of a pumpkin patch. For those who have not yet attended a pumpkin patch alone at my age: it's awkward. I don't recommend it. After one quick lap around the pumpkins, rides, and awkward stares from overly paranoid parents, I retreated to Jake's Burgers. I think there were a couple of people in front of me in line, but, it didn't take long to order. I ordered the Jack burger, and it came out in just a few minutes. The Jack burger at Jake's comes with American cheese and bacon-- it's named for a person named Jack, not the cheese. A little confusing, but the burger was great. A lot of traditional smashburger places don't do enough produce, but they did. I loved that the burger was topped with a generous amount of lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and mustard. The burger itself was a true smashburger, with caramelized meat, and the cheese nearly melted into it. The basic brioche bun tasted very fresh. The bacon was great, too. Best of all, it was under eight bucks. The menu was small, and the flavor didn't stand out as anything different or special, but it was like a higher quality version of a Wendy's burger. They did also offer shakes and sides, but I was just there for the burger. For someone who loves basic, classic smashburgers, this place is great. read more

Went to Jake's Burgers on Saturday, May 2nd. We ordered a burger, french fries, onion rings, and a strawberry milkshake. Hubby requested to have the burger cut in half to share, which they didn't do. Upon receiving our order, the burger was cold, the bun was stale and hard. All the fixings were just thrown in big pile of mess! The french fries and onion rings were overcooked and fried in old oil which you can really taste. Considering we paid almost $30 for this order, we expect better quality of food like before. The other thing I don't understand is why the burger was cold considering we waited nearly 30 minutes for our order along with everybody else. Hey Jake! Another stray colleague recommended this place for a good burger and a quick chase of ducks around the field. I have to admit, the burger and fries were spectacular. Reminded me of my master's burger when I steal as he leaves for a minute while grilling. Great food truck and polite person at the window. A great burger shack down by the river. 2 deluxe burgers with cheese, a large order of onion rings (that was perfectly shareable between 2 guys), a tartar sauce for each of us, and a fresh raspberry shake. All for $30. Fresh. Made to order (the processing time was perfect time to browse the produce stand for dinner inspiration). This place was a total win. $5 basic burgers seem increasingly like an endangered thing. They are here. ENJOY! We always come here when we do the pumpkin patch in October and usually it's not a long wait and service is good. The food is always delicious and I love their different fry sauce. Also it's very reasonably priced. But a few weeks ago I went and the cashier told me it was going to be a 15-20 minute wait which is more than reasonable. But it ended up taking 45 minutes to an hour for my food. That was not acceptable. Not sure what happened that day but I know I wasn't the only angry person in line. It also started pouring by the time it was my turn so that wasn't fun. But I would probably give them another chance and hope that was just a fluke. read more

One of our favorite places to grab a burger. This burger truck is located at Sterino Farms in Puyallup. The prices are reasonable. The menu includes burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dog, fries, onion rings, and chicken strips. They also have ice cream and milkshakes. Some of the milkshakes are made from berries harvested on the farm. All seating is outdoors. They have several tables located under a large canopy. There are a couple single tables with umbrellas around the grounds. The truck uses a pager system to let you know that your food is ready. The pager allows you to be able to walk around the garden center and produce stand. We definitely suggest you order food first then walk around as there can be a wait at times. We would definitely recommend this burger stand if you are in the area. read more

We were in Puyallup Valley heading for the strawberry fields, but we were hungry. Jake's Burgers popped up with great reviews and decided to try it out. Seven adults and 3 kids on one picnic table surrounded by plants and produce at Sterino's. The service was great, food phenomenal and atmosphere so calming; what a great Saturday! Unlike other food trucks located around or in puyallup Jake's Burgers has always taken the time to make our burgers exactly how we ordered! I appreciate the time they take to create delicious items, everything on the menu has always tasted fresh, the fríes are crispy never soggy, the meat including the chicken is juicy seasoned well. Our family from time to time has some kind of food sensitive with other burger places but never with theirs. So whatever your doing keep doing it! First time trying this place even though we've been shopping next door at Sterino's for a while. My husband ordered a Jake Deluxe with cheese and I got the Original with cheese, waited about 10-15 min for our food in the covered area nearby. Not gonna lie, my burger was just ok. It comes with a pattie, cheese, farm sauce and pickles on a brioche bun. The meat was seasoned, the cheese nice and melty but there was a sweetness that I didn't care about, maybe the farm sauce has sweet relish? My husband's burger was far superior. Same pickle, patty, sauce and cheese but with tomato, onion and beautiful crispy lettuce, I'd add bacon just to make it extra special. Overall I liked the place, but next time I'll order better. Drove from Tacoma because we heard great things about this place. They were super busy the day we went, (Saturday 7/29/23). Waited about 20 minutes to get our order. There's a cute farm stand/nursery next door to kill time. Burger was a little heavy on tomato with the super thick slice, but was overall excellent. This is by far THE BEST BURGER in all of the PNW! The fresh brioche buns, the flavorful patties with melted cheese, your choice of sautéed onions, fresh lettuce and tomato, and the side sauces are to die for! The Jack burger is amazing. Tons of their farm sauce which is like mustard mixed with relish. It's good but I thought there was a ton on it. Fries are also great.
