Food 10/10 I've been eating here since I was 5 years old it's still probably the best pizza I've had and will always make an effort to Route 66 when I'm visiting from Arizona Highly recommend! Service 10/10 always great, the three times I went while I was here visiting was great service and all the hundreds of other times I've had them service was amazing . Ambiance 10/10 The place has only briefly changed over the last 18 years for me but it's still the same Route, I will always love the license plates on the wall but the only thing I miss and I swear they had was a Dr Pepper logo hanging on their wall I'm almost positive they had one. Also the location of the place of course being right near downtown and it being such a beautiful area! Overall me and my family will continue to come to Route 66 for as long as it still open for business and I'll always have some when I come to visit my family. read more

experience so bad that i'm using a burner account for this. I walk in the restaurant to pickup my order and am waiting 7-10+ mins on my order when i see it in the window, and there is nobody in the restaurant... i receive my pie and it's half cooked. so doughy on one side, and the "cooked" side of the pizza fell apart, my wings were also hard as a rock, im a local in orting and i like to order here its usually a ok spot but they are very inconsistent for the price of the food I recommend don't go unless you want to waste your money there's other better pizza places near by. read more

Food: the pizza was good! I like the thin bread and the toppings and flavor was super delish! The breadsticks were perfect! Super warm and soft! It was on the expensive side we got a pizza, breadsticks, one fountain drink, and one beer and it totaled to almost $60. I don't know if we'll be back for pizza but I do see myself returning for the breadsticks if we crave them. Service: aw man, when I first came in the staff TOTALLY IGNORED us, no hi or welcome in please have seat. We were standing in the middle of the room like dummies and we were given absolutely no direction as to what to do (whether to sit or stand there, idk?) it was our first time there mind you. SO! for those who are first timers I will let you know. You seat yourself and then you go to the counter to order. I only figured this out when another customer came in, picked a seat, and then came back up to grab a menu and order. Lucky enough for us the other customer saw us standing there like dummies and let us order before her when we figured it out. I did give them a higher rating because (even though I was fuming with upsetness) when we sat and ordered they killed me with kindness. Idk if it's just they don't like to say hi? Or they saw I was upset (even my husband told me to fix my scowl a few times) but they were just so nice to us and very accommodating. I ordered 80+$'s in pizza tonight. Drove in to pay and was told no hundreds accepted. If that's the policy they should train their employees to tell people that over the phone when they give our order total. Better yet train your employees to check the bill with a pen and their eyes for the water mark and the security slip. Reason given is we have had lots of counterfeit bills used here! Hmmm... Something new is brewing down at Route 66 pizza and I like it a lot. You can officially order your pizza online and their menu has been updated and is super convenient/user friendly. The delivery time was exceptional for a Saturday night and the kid who delivered to me was polite and professional. The boxes the pizza were delivered in has gotten an upgrade and they look so much more fun and polished. Even the pizza and crust tastes better! I will definitely be ordering from Route 66 more often. read more

We decided to try this pizza joint based on a recommendation of a friend since my wife's favorite food is pizza. They have a nice selection of adult beverages and probably 5 beers on tap. The pepperoni cheesy bread sticks were amazing to start! My wife and I split a pienormous half and half pizza. It's awesome that they'll let you do half and half. My only critique is the face the chef made when Elley(spelling?) asked if they had anchovies, as it's my favorite topping on pizza and most great pizza joints offer them as a topping. He has an attitude that wasn't in jive with the other great staff. Maybe he's the boss's kid??? The decor is of a classic Route 66 diner. I was confused though because the famous Route 66 doesn't go through Washington, but I get what the owner was going for in the theme. It's decorated very nice! They actually have a bicentennial plate for my home state of Colorado, which are very hard to find! The icing on the cake was the pizza box, that is very cool! Overall the value is great in the quality of food, proportions, ambiance, and great staff(except for the cook). read more

The first couple of times we went was great. Then all of the sudden, the pizza quality was terrible. They forgot to put tomatoes on a pizza that should have had it. Ok, fine but it was floppy and greasy. Tried again weeks later and same thing. Tomatoes missing again. I asked for a remake and they take my pizza and put cold uncooked tomatoes on it and gave it back. Terrible customer service. I'm disappointed as this place was supposed to be the best. I didn't even bother clarifying it because needed to put my dog in the car to order because the customer service was so bad. This is a super cute little pizzeria. Love the decor here. The staff are also super helpful and kind. Their food here is a little more than other pizzerias but your paying for quality at this little local joint. We really enjoy coming here. My only suggestion would if they carried anchovies. First time trying Route 66 after driving by for years. Our experience exceeded our expectations. We got the wrong toppings on the first pizza. They made it right without hesitation. The kicker is they even gave us a gift card because of the error. This is customer service you don't experience much any more. Oh the food was spectacular and atmosphere was awesome as well. This is based on several visits. I have to say that the storefront says meh but the pizza is among the best in the area. Never had a bad pie. Sadly, I live on South Hill just above Orting and whereas it's about 2 miles away, it's a 20-minute one-way drive on some days. Carry out is not a great option. read more

The quality of the ingredients were pretty good but it's not Naples, Italy. It was made pretty quick. I appreciate the family business thing, but I paid less for more in Manhattan, NY where everything was expensive. Seriously, a large was like a medium. More pizza, less expensive box it came in. But to be clear, the quality and taste for the most part are better than any quick pizza place (papa johns, pizza hut, etc..). Id pay more here at route 66, than less there. read more

They also have outdoor seating. The pizza is solid. The crust is thin, the cheese and sauce are good. I had a side salad with Bleu cheese dressing, and that was also good. Very disappointing. Ordered online 2pm for a 6:45pm pick up for a large garlic ranch chicken pizza (paid extra for extra topping: bacon and meatball) and cheesy bread. I sent my son to pick it up. They need a QA manager to inspect pizza before it leaves to assure people are getting a good product. They aren't. This place is awesome! Went here for the first time this afternoon for a late lunch. The gal at the front counter was so nice, helpful, and friendly. Told her it was our first time there and she made us feel welcome and explained the process for ordering there and choosing our seats. They have a nice menu with cheesy bread, wings, several options for pizza or create your own, hot grinder sandwiches and calzones. Fountain drinks are free refills, and they also offer beer & wine. We got the Route 66 combo and had a coupon for a free large pizza so ordered the Jason's Genius (double pepperoni and bacon) to go. The combo pizza was cooked perfectly, adequate amount of toppings and flavors we spot on. We gave the pepperoni/bacon pizza to our daughter and she said it was great! Both pizzas even had pepperoni pieces that cupped & got crispy! Yum!! Shout out again to the gal working the front. Wish I would have gotten her name. She was great, even when a large group of loud and demanding customers were shouting at her from their table to bring them stuff, when clearly she was busy & in the middle of something.
