I'm super sad to see this place has closed. I working in Huntsville for about 6 months a couple years ago and couldn't stop myself from eating here at least 3 times a week. The service was always good but that's not the reason I'd come back. The main reason is every time I went the burger was just as good as the first. Super juicy extremely delicious and I have called it the best burger I've had every time I had it. I still think this place made the best burger I've ever had. Solid 4 stars! It would have been 5 stars if we wouldn't have had to wait 25 minutes for two burgers and one order of fries and that the patty was over cooked. This was the kind of burger that after every bite you had to wipe not only your hands but also your face. It was so juicy from the buttery grilled bun, fresh veggies, creamy mayo, and cheese...all the elements together gave it the juice that the patty was missing because of being over cooked. The fries were the frozen crinkle cut fries from Walmart but they fried them so crispy and sprinkled them with a great blend of salt and pepper that just made you want to dip it in ketchup and then lick your fingers afterwards. Wow. Sooo good! I got a cheeseburger basket and the fries were seasoned perfectly and were so good! The meat was great (and I'm not huge on burgers) but the bread!!!!! I usually take pictures of my food prior to reviewing it but, not today. It smelled so good I just dug in. I arrived at the food truck just before they opened but she still took my order. A cheeseburger and fries. The burger was fantastic! We'll seasoned but not overly seasoned. The bun was fresh. The burger patty was fresh pressed and a good half pound. That fit perfectly on the bun. The toppings were freshly cut and generously garnished the burger. The fries were of the frozen variety but fried perfectly and salted nicely. All that for $9.00!! You can consider Fatboys Huntsville's version of a food truck. Fatboys is an orange mobile home tucked away on the far side of the parking lot of the purple smoke shop. You can't miss it, but you do. How unfortunate to have only discovered Fatboys now. So many lunches debating what to eat and settling for a healthy(ish) sandwich at Subway. So many lunches eating crappy microwave Lean Cuisines when I could have been devouring a grease-dripping, butter-toasted, well-seasoned, thick and juicy burger from Fatboys. My first taste of Fatboys was that of a crinkle cut French fry, my favorite kind. I've had better...barely. But that was only one other place about 3 decades ago and because they cooked their bacon in the same fry oil. These fries are out of this world!!! They were perfectly cooked. Medium crispy on the outside with soft inside and just the right amount of their proprietary blend of salt and seasonings. I tried to get the owner (a great lady) to tell me what was in it but she just smiled. I like her all the more for it. I ordered the cheeseburger with bacon and asked for medium well. I got exactly what I ordered. The patty was half a pound, juicy, and very favorable! The bun was buttered and grilled and kept the heat in while eating the burger. The lettuce and tomato was very fresh and paired well with the rest of this burger that I would say is the best burger in town by far. The staff were very sweet and quite a joy to talk to. Sadly (but I understand why), they are only open for lunch Monday thru Friday. I guess we all need days off. LOL Do your mouth a favor and cruise by Fatboys and give your tastebuds and oralgasm. This place is legit. We ordered a burger and wings. I wish they had spicy Buffalo as a flavor for the wings, but the chicken was such high quality, that I didn't mind the BBQ flavor. The burger was as good as any you will find in or around Huntsville and probably beyond. Fries were also very good. Service was friendly and prices were decent. I was in Huntsville running a crew last week. I let them decide where to eat and after spwnding a few minutes in yelp they decided to go to fatboys. As we arived we said. "This is either going to be amazing or terrible" im happy to say that it was beyind amazing. The young lady who took our order was friendly and offered up information that new people might not know, such as the patty size. I asked for a double cheese and she warned me that it wasnt reccomended because they serve 8oz patties! I couod not be disuaded and infact told her to throw some bacon on it for good measure. When my food arrived i KNEW i had messed up. The burger was humungous. I actually had to take one of the patties off and it it caveman style lol. The fries were crisp and well seasoned and the canned soda was deliciously cold. Huntsville is over an hour from where i live but ill definitely make the trip uo there for another fatboy burger.
