Billy Jo's just lost another loyal customer! I come here about once a week and order the same thing Everytime! I walk in and the rude cashier lady looks right past me and takes someone else's order first. Ok no big deal maybe she didn't notice I was there first. Proceeds to take my order. As soon as my food comes out they read out the order. I go to pick it up and I tell the cook this isn't what I ordered and show him that the ticket was wrong. He proceeds to rudely say "well that's not what the ticket says". He asks the cashier girl and she states I ordered what she put in. At that point I tell them I come here once a week and order the same thing Everytime. No worries at all ! You just won't get another dime of mine. read more

I am just rating the gyro n butter garlic fries So I would say I wasn't a fan of everything else but I am huge fan of the gyro and garlic fries . The gyro meat is fresh and crispy . The sauce is bomb. So if I had to rate the gyro and butter garlic fries alone it would be a five star but all the other stuff ehhhhhh that's up to y'all to decide lol. Tried Billy Joes for the first time it took me almost 25 minutes to get my order through the drive thru and only 2 cars ahead of me. The food itself was average, ordered roast beef and fries, roast beef was ok nothing special but not terrible. Fries were awful, no seasoning, no flavor, no thank you, and a rip off. (3.25 for small bland fry) Overall they offer high end prices for below average food. I will not return and suggest anyone considering this place to pass them up for a chain place with same quality at a lower price. read more

After reading the mixed reviews, I decided to make several trips to Billy Jo's before posting. After six trips, had a positive dining experience every time. Tried several items from menu and found everything to be very good. Homemade soups were some of the best that I had from a drive-in. Service was friendly, fast and efficient. This place is so clean I was shocked to see reviews over 6 years old, thought this was a new building. Cheeseburger meal was excellent. Fries were McDonald's size, which I prefer. Price may be a little higher compared to Pop's, but I prefer dining here. Service wasn't super friendly, definitely professional, I would not classify as rude. Just tried this place for the first time today. While its just across the street from the iconic "Dukes"...my decision to try Billy Jo's was because of one thing...they have a DRIVE THRU. Being a lazy American (and proud of it) I swung on in and decided to try their cheeseburger with everything on it (no lettuce...as eating a burger with that stuff while driving makes a mess all over when its shredded) First impressions: WOW! Once of the best darn CBs Ive tried in a while! Heavy, filling and just $3.96 tax included. WAY BETTER than the crap ya get at McDonalds. Looking forward to going back! read more

Decided to give it a try and went through the drive through. Fast service although not overly friendly. The food is typical Chicago hot dog food, which is good. Polish dog is the BEST!!!!!! Good fries. I like to order mine crispy. Good banana shakes. Not a real banana in there.. it's artificial banana but still tasty. Cream of chicken soup............not so much my favorite. Nick's still holds #1 there. From being across the famous Dukes and growing up in the town, I definitely questioned why a hot dog stand would go up right across from the famous Dukes..... but they're pulling it off!! I used to come here all the time when I worked close by I went a couple later today and ordered a gyro meal. It was about $14 which was unsettling in itself but then there was pieces of bone in the gyro meat. Like 5 total in one gyro. It was absolutely disgusting and gag worthy. I really want to support this place because I always had good food from there in the past. But the last time was absolutely disgusting for their high prices. read more

Fast service! Good Hot Food! Good Portions! Good Customer Service! Delivery Was Faster Than Expected.

I've been here multiple times. Never have I had a problem with this place until they put a pickle on both my hotdogs. I clearly said KETCHUP ONLY as it states on the receipt. I nicely told them after driving all the way back from my house that they got my order wrong I wanted just ketchup. Well like every lazy ass restaurant does they give me back the same nasty pickle juice soggy hotdogs. The only thing they did was take the pickle off. Now remind u I'm allergic to pickles so I took a look again and sure enough the bun still had pickle juice and it smelled exactly like pickles. So now I go inside and the lady doesn't even know what to say. U can tell they were having a little meeting about what happened with my order. She said the reason the bun smelled like pickles and had pickle juice on it was because the kitchen that it smells sometimes in there. Like what ? Cmon lady. Just a horrible experience that could've been avoided if they weren't so lazy and gave me new hotdogs. read more

I'll admit, I was more a Duke's customer until they closed it down across the street. So I decided to give them a try, and I was NOT disappointed. They actually have more on the menu than I originally anticipated. Food is good, and the drive thru is convenient. The garlic butter fries are awesome! Only knock against them is the busy street location. I have to turn left to go back to my home, and I'll be waiting on that left turn for almost 10mins sometimes. But overall, the food is worth the drive. read more

Don't order a gyros from here they weigh the meat 6oz he said I ordered xtra meat and it still was small I called talked to the Mgr he said for 2.20 he put two more ounces of meat on there that would mean that they charge customers over 18.00 for. Pound of gyros meat which on the high end is 10.00 lb . He was rude on the phone and basically told me he weighs each sandwich I will NEVER. The wife and I decided to try this place over our traditional Dukes. I ordered the beef and she ordered the polish sausage. The beef was excellent, I ordered it wet and sweet. The beef was tender and the pepper still had a little crunch to them. Wife says the polish was good. It came with a decent amount of fries. The place itself was clean and had ample seating. Duke fans know there is no where to sit and no bathrooms. Dukes beefs are good but the meat is tough and stringy. Try this place I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. read more

Billy Jo's is a like a hidden gem. Me and my girlfriend used to go to Nick's down the street until we had a bad experience with service there. We decided to give this a try after that and it has become are go to for a quick dinner after a long day. Definitely get your money's worth here. The garlic fries smell and taste amazing and I recommend them with anything you get off the menu. The Reuben is one of the best I have had at a establishment like this. Subs are great, shrimp basket really feels like a basket and is very good. Gyros plate is great if you are a big eater or splitting with a date. Beef and sausage can be a little dry so I recommend getting it dipped. They have cheese for dipping. Red sauce upon request. I've been here probably 20 times so far. Chocolate shake made with real milk and delicious, large is worth the price. Large drinks wont fit in the cup holders in your car so always ask for a carrier! Literally the only problem I have ever had here is that they charge you like 2$ if you want an extra little piece of feta, even if you ask to trade it out for the kalamata olives or something. They also dont tell you they charge you for it, I did it like 5 times before I realized they were charging that much Haha. All in all, Billy Jo's is a fantastic joint for most of their menu items and I highly recommend anyone in the area to try it! read more

Gross food. I had the Italian beef and it didn't taste right. It was cold and had a funny taste to it. The bread was cold also. Good luck to the owners but the food is not good. Bridgeview has a majority of fair or pale colored people and I am neither. But I went to this location dressed normally and wearing nothing flamboyant and one of the AM cashiers apparently the one in charge, looked at me up and down in an odd manner and called me in a mumble to himself, "strange" with a disgusted look and when I asked him about it he answered in a rude sarcastic way so I felt a great insecurity of myself and decided to cancel my order but then as I was walked out the door he said, "Get the fuck out" . read more
