I've been to Gastropubs with their higher prices and expensive interior and their Burger & Fries weren't nearly as good as this place. The Swiss Mushroom Burger. - The beef so tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned served right off the grill. - The Mushrooms were sauteed al dente. Not raw. Not floppy. Perfect. - The Bun and the melted Swiss cheese were at it like a perfect Tango. ..............The aroma of all this had me smiling before I even had my first bite. The Curly Garlic Fries. - You could feel and taste the crisp ridges of the cut of the fry gently but justly coated in fresh garlic....finishing off with the taste of moist potato flakes inside. Their service was impressively good. Their genuine approach to serving you, follow up table checkups and friendly demeanor from all staff was...frankly...beautiful to see. My partner and I came here to eat on a Sunday evening. The service and food were excellent. We got a specialty burger (add egg), a 3 patty burger, small milkshake, and chicken tender poutine for $51. When we ordered the entire Fatburger employee team repeated the order out loud which was cool to see, great teamwork! We waited about 15 min for the food and it was delicious. I order from a different Fat Burger location downtown quite often so decided rather than spending $60 of 4 meals from Wendy's, I would order from the Fat Burger near me and pick up. Nothing, and I mean nothing was as expected. The burgers, especially the specialty ones seemed to be made with 1/4 pound patties instead of the 1/3. The burgers that had toppings came with no toppings even though they were selected. The fries where small cartons instead of the box fries downtown. There was nothing in the order that was expected. Toss in the prices for the kids burger changed by $2 from the menu to the order, the payment fee of $3 that was added last second and nothing was right. You can't give me a single reason to go to this location again. Sad to see since we didn't have this experience when we ate inside in the past. Extremely disappointed. read more

The customer service is great but the quality of the food is terrible. For instance me & my gf ordered from here last night. The burgers appeared to be quickly slapped together & were extremely sloppy. I ordered the BBQ burger which was supposed to have onion rings in it but it only contained 1 very small onion ring & again was extremely messy making it difficult to eat & the patties in our burgers were dry. Fatburger is always my favourite place to go to for a nice burger; the prices are fairly reasonable, and the taste easily surpasses the more expensive varieties that they serve in restaurants like Cactus Club. I dropped by here with hubs after visiting the Once Upon a Child in the area and it fulfilled our expectations! He got the angus burger with the pulled pork and I grabbed a veggie burger. The veggie patty wasn't dry or tasteless; I rather liked the flavour though they could have made it thicker. The portion was somewhat lacking. Hub's burger tasted excellent but there was a little too much bbq sauce, and it drowned out the flavours of the pulled pork. All I could kinda taste was the sauce. -1 for that. Fatburger is a chain of casual diners that make awesome hamburgers, fries, chicken tenders and milkshakes. They advertise all ingredients as being "fresh" and that comes out in the food. I had the double Fat burger with fries and gravy. The burgers are juicy and nicely garnished and the bun holds everything in place. There is plenty of comfortable seating and this place is also licensed to service alcohol. The ambiance is nice with music playing over the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. The staff are extremely friendly and the washrooms are clean! The combos are definitely priced higher than some other fast food burger places but the quality is really that much better. The variety of toppings may be a bit overwhelming on the first visit but once you get used to it, you'll love the number of toppings. read more

A friend and I where playing some cards, when either and employee or supervisor asked us to stop playing the cards because it doesn't look good for their business incase anyone see's, it's also "unethical." Can someone please explain this to me? First of all no one from outside could see us playing cards if they tried; the way the building was set up, we were not seated by a window setting. Now it's not like we were gambling, we both ordered meals, the restaurant was not busy by any means. I play cards often and when I'm out it's a good way to spend some time with a friend. I've been driving past the Fatburger on Lougheed and always told myself that next time I have a burger it will be at Fatburger. So on New Years Eve, my brothers and I decided to try it out. The place had some really nice comfy booth but we decided to sit towards the back where the heater was in full blast. (It was supremely cold that night.) The order taker was very nice and explained the order process and how the burgers are made. I choose the Old Style Bacon Cheddar and was I glad I did. The burger was nicely grilled and very juicy. There was plenty of maple bacon to give it that extra burger win. The cheese was real cheddar, not that processed stuff. Unfortunately, I paired it with their onion rings which were overly battered. Not going to lie, not worth $15 bucks for the meal.. Newly opened, looks decently welcoming, but so unorganized. Such mixed responses from the staff, their answers completely contradicting the other. My boyfriend ordered a very simple burger meal, while I tried out a more complex burger. Surprisingly, mine came first! We had to wait another 10-15 minutes before his was ready. We took 2 meals home and the burger's don't look overly appealing. As I got into the first 4-6 bites, I chomped into something hard. I thought I really cracked my tooth! I used to love fat burger but either it's changed drastically since the last time I went or this FB in particular isn't up to par. We had to correct my burger twice. The lettuce was nearly nonexistent. When I told them my burger was wrong they seemed annoyed that I wanted a new burger and not just the toppings changed. Two of the staff kept saying 'Jack?' it took me three times asking them to repeat themselves before I realised they were asking if it was jack cheese for my burger. They kept putting on the toppings I said I didn't want. It was nothing on the burgers I have had from the downtown FB where you get lots of fresh lettuce. The chips and doughnuts tasted stale. The only thing that tasted remotely like it used to was the milkshake. What a waste of a $4 tip. In the end my boyfriend had to buy a new burger because they wouldn't listen. I won't be going back to that one, I will stick to the downtown one where "mustard, mayo, onions and lettuce" is not too difficult and the staff are friendly. read more

Took the whole family with 3 kids there for the 1st time. Had a great time. Lots of parking. The place was somewhat packed for dinner (6pm - 7pm) but was able to get a full table after few minutes of waiting (while ordering). The staff at the counter was very helpful especially with orders since it was our first time there. Atmosphere was pretty much what I expected. Very lively.There were multiple big screen tv's. Waitress was always available and happy to help especially when we needed additional utensils and packing things to go. Food was slightly better than average. I mean, I wouldn't say it was any gourmet burger like Vera's or 5 guys but definitely better than any fast food restaurants. We also had shakes and they were not too bad at all :) Kids absolutely loved the place!! When they got there, they were presented with one of those magic notepads and it kept them occupied while we waited for the food to arrive. They also have a special treasure chest where the kids got to pick one toy before they left. And sure enough this place scored pretty high for the kids. I like burgers. So we carried out our plan to finally try this chain after a quick run to IKEA, and I am glad we did. Its a tasty burger! First, the service was impeccable. The owner (manager?) walked us through the choices and later on checked on our eating experience. I had fallen in love with the pickles on the burger, and he brought me a small cup, full of pickles. Find the service inconsistent here. Had good and poor service. When my family craves a burger, I prefer to go here, they use more natural and fresh ingredients and better beef than many places and their shakes are very good. They also deliver, so that's a plus. I've had more consistent service at the Brentwood location but that tends to be busier. Not as good as Vera's but better than most. There's disagreement on that within my family though, we all love In and Out the most for burger joints but locally, it's Vera's for me. Fatburger for my husband, White Spot for my kids. read more

Still resonating as the best burger i had from a restaurant or fast food. But... Two major problems that make me hate the place. One they give you tiny little cups for a pop. We all know the recent article that each large pop only costs mcdonalds 5 cents. I know other restaurant owners who say its closer to 25 cents for them. For how expensive that burger is you should get a nice large drink with it and some fries which are also dirt cheap to make. No real good combos. Price and pop size keep me going elsewhere. read more
