The burgers are always top-notch here--juicy, big, and made to order. The fries are crisp and golden. Everything is served piping hot. The service is also top-notch--fast, friendly, and welcoming. The food is delivered to your table with a smile. While the menu is a little pricier than your run-of-the-mill fast food fare, it gives other gourmet burger joints a run for their money. They also serve an all-day breakfast. The atmosphere is family-friendly and younglings will enjoy the kids' menu. Fatburger is at least a weekly stop for this burger connoisseur. read more

Visitng Victoria and my son wanted to eat here. We won't be back. He asked for his burger to be a combo, but was charged separately for fries. When it was brought to the attention of the staff, they refused to fix it and talked in circles about other food on the order. It was time for lunch and Fatburger was a recommendation. I went in and then figured out I didn't really want a burger, so I left. On my way out I saw a sign for "nacho fries" - so I went back in. I love nachos, and I love French fries - putting them together is genius! The fries were cooked perfectly and covered in ground beef (almost like a chilli), jalapenos, tomatoes and cheese. Served with a side of guacamole and sour cream, they were to die for!! I couldn't get over the service for a "fast food" joint! You order at the counter, and then they bring your meal to your table. They checked on me two-three times - so attentive! I also had some of their strawberry lemonade - so refreshing! Stopped in at 7pm for a late supper. Business was pretty quiet but that's ok. I ordered the backyard BBQ burger combo and found the prices to be a little high, but whatever, if they're a burger specialty restaurant it must be worth it right? They gave me a number, told me to sit anywhere and they would bring my food to my table when ready. I waited maybe 10 mins and I received my order. First thing I noticed about my burger was, "Holy crap! How am I going to fit that in my mouth?!" I don't know if that's a pro or con but regardless after much pressing down and squishing I finished off my burger quite quickly. It tasted great. Staff were very chirpy and pleasant. One staff was walking around cleaning the tables and talking with customers. I had my burger half in my mouth with half the other side pouring out on to my plate so it was kind of awkward to talk but I appreciated the gesture all the same. I'm a regular customer through Skip the Dishes. For the first time today there was a mistake with our order. We always enjoy ordering burgers that have the onion rings on them We order that every time. But for some reason they missed that on our order. They even added an unwanted tomato to one burger. When I contacted Skip the Dishes they were told by the restaurant they had been out of rings all day and sorry but no compensation. Never contacted us about our order to let us know. Oh that, and the store lied to Skip the Dishes. The store must have forgotten forgot that I had ordered and received onion rings with my order as a side dish. I tried the beefy angus burger without mayonnaise, mustard, or ketchup, and I substituted the cheese with Canadian cheddar. I usually get no condiments on my burger because I don't like my burger being a sloppy mess, and because I believe that good food should be able to stand on its own without extra paste. The burger was very beefy and tasted fresh. The burger did not have much of a taste however, and the cheese added almost nothing to the flavor. The bread was a bit cheap tasting. I was looking around for a quick bite on Sunday and decided on this place. From the time we placed our order (1 chicken burger, a regular fries, and a second hamburger $30), it took approximately 30-45mims to get our food. I noticed that skip the dish drivers kept cycling in and out and got their orders much quicker. Without knowing the time the orders were placed, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Once I finally got my order, I talked to the employees and they advised me that "we try to do the skip the dish orders first". This is ridiculous! Not only is there no organized queue or workflow, but there were guests who received their food before us, even though they arrived after. This operation is poorly managed and the 3-5 employees in the kitchen are processing orders, not on a first come first serve basis, but skip the dish being first priority and walk in customers second. If you have any sort of allergies or dietary needs don't waste your time at this burger joint! We got two burgers that my husband asked several times if it came with cheese. The cashier assured him it does NOT. He even said twice to the cashier I want no cheese. And again the cashier assured him it won't have cheese. I took the burger to the store to ask for a refund and the supervisor like a broken record kept repeating "but the groupon comes with cheese". Yes, but he asked for NO cheese!!!! I had a Big Fat Meal (two junior patties, which is basically the same as one regular patty, lettuce, tomato, mustard and mayo, fries or ceasar salad, and a drink with bottomless refills for 10 bucks) with a side of gravy (which was excellent gravy, considering it only cost 79 cents) and my friend had a Mushroom Swiss Burger (which had enough mushrooms on it for them to be actually falling out of the burger) and a chocolate shake (which was exceptional, I tried some). Recently gave this a whirl for lunch. Had the Tuesday special which consisted of a bacon and cheese burger, fries and large drink for $13.95. Service was friendly and efficient. Room was small, but bright and clean. Lemonade was excellent. Burger tasted lean fresh and very good. Had ample lettuce, tomato and condiments on it made to order. I thought the fries were only average and frozen type. Burger reminded me a bit of a DQ or Burger King but slightly better. Bun was okay, but not great. I hear the milkshakes are excellent, but have not tried one yet. Next time I visit I will skip the fries and have a shake instead. While I thought the Tuesday special was decent value, the burgers and other items, if ordered separately would be quite expensive as burgers by themselves run $6 to $8 and fries start at around $4 a pop. Drinks start at around $2 each. Will likely return, but won't make it a regular spot due to the prices. Not in the same league as Bin 4, nor Uplands Golf Club Works Burger. read more

I made the effort to travel downtown today to try the new Fatburger. After circling the block a couple of times to find parking. Plugging the meter and then standing in line for 15 minutes, ordering, then standing in the way of everyone else for another 10 minutes. ( very small place with not enough seating). I finally had my Big Fat Meal combo. The burger was hot and fresh as were the fries. Overall I thought it was just OK. A bit on the expensive side for what I got. It will do well with the tourists but I can't see it being a destination restaurant for locals. I will stick with the drive through at Burger King. read more

AMAZING!!!!! I love fatburger it's so tasty, they call your order out loud so you know they get it right and it is a little wait only usually about 5 minutes, they have unlimited pop refills and everything is made to order and the beef is 100% AAA angus beef from Alberta. They have lovely pictures of Victoria on the walls and all the ingredients are fresh and never frozen, they really need to open one in langford because the only bad thing about this place is we have to drive to town to get it. Even officers of the law eat here. It is on the expensive side but it is well worth the money, I would much rather get one gourmet burger here than 8 crappy burgers from the McChucks across the street. By far one of the best burgers I've ever eaten and I will keep coming back as much as I can afford. Super clean also, have not seen anything on the floor. read more
