One customer in the restaurant before me, she had obviously ordered and was waiting. I went to the till to order and then sat down to wait. The lady had to check on her kids waiting in her car. Eventually her order was put on the counter, when she came in pick it up, the order was not at all correct. Regular buns not gluten free buns and multiple other errors, they remade the entire order, got it wrong again (she had her receipt) at which time she gave up and got a refund. I witnessed all this before my burger was ready. The burger was tasty but extremely wet and very messy to eat. By that time I'd somewhat lost my appetite so was quite disappointed for my fist experience at Deatbeets read more

We walked around Oak Bay for quite sometime looking for food, and we got excited when we came across this place. Nowhere to sit due to covid, so we found a park across the street and enjoyed an awesome lunch there. It was sooo good. Seriously delicious. We both had the chickpea cashew burger. It was so good. Not too much. Tasty. Delicious. And the fries were fresh cut perfect fries. And lots of em. North Van needs this place. Stat! Hungry now. Damn!!! read more

I finally got to try a burger from the DeadBeetz truck but honestly, I was surprised by the offerings! I mean, a burger truck called DeadBeetz - I expected them to have veggie burgers with beet patties and I feel like there's something of a missed opportunity by not having them. Actually, seeing that their veg burger was a chickpea patty was extremely surprising. However, my disappointment was quickly replaced by satisfaction when I tried the Signature Beatrice Burger. As mentioned by others, it's saucy and delicious, with the pickled beets complementing the patty and sauce well. It's quite a simple burger but it tasted good, was decently priced, and was easy to carry around. Since I was having it while walking around for Car Free YYJ, it was great. Also, I definitely recommend getting their fresh fried vegetable chips since they are light, delicious, and out of the ordinary. read more

Love Deadbeetz! Have tried both the Beetrice and Ronnie... superb! Their "full chips"... selection of beet, yam, potato "kettle chips"(but sooo much better) is a must. Honest REAL burgers made with love, and sold at an honest price. read more

Menu option are delicious and there is something for everyone! Above all, the customer service is second to none. Staff here went above and beyond to accommodate very last minute changes to our order and when the order changed from pick up to delivery due to unforeseen circumstances (on my end) they generously offered to remake the food so that it would be fresh at delivery. That was not necessary but the offer to do so was very kind and generous. 5 stars across the board read more

So thrilled to find Deadbeetz new restaurant at 1950 Oak Bay Ave! Was already a fan of the food truck but their new burger joint is pretty great! Our party of four ate their and we all get it very high marks. My partner and I had the cashew veggie burger with a side of the root veg potato chips. It definitely ranks as one of our favourite veggie burgers! Next time I will order it with beets in the burger. Our friends both had the Beetrice, a luscious beef burger with beets plus the garden salad. Everything was delicious and we will return. The place is tiny and it was jam packed with folks coming and going. They do takeaway as well. read more

I want to move to Victoria so that I can be closer to this truck. Their signature Beatrice burger with pickled beets is the best burger I've ever had. Soft bun.. shredded iceburg and some tasty sauce. Nice one Deadbeetz... now come to Vancouver!!! read more

Best burger I've had! I love the kind of saucy burger you get from drive-ins, with shredded lettuce and a thin patty--their pickled beet burger is the Queen! Exceptional burger! Located in a casual courtyard with lots of seating. We had the Beatrice beef burger which is a classic bomb cheeseburger plus beats which add extra good flavor & a little sweetness :) we will be back to try the others! read more

This is a great little food truck serving up some delicious burgers and chips. We arrived into Victoria around lunch on a Monday. Saw a sign for food trucks and naturally being from Portland Oregon we had to check it out! :) we were definitely not disappointed. We had the dolly burger with bacon bourbon jam and their homemade chips. The ladies in the truck were friendly and the food was fresh. Love that bacon bourbon jam! We have had lunches throughout our stay and we keep saying this little truck was our favorite lunch so far! read more

Do I put something together at home or do I stop and grab something easy and already prepared? Common question I find myself asking as of late. I notice the Burger Crush food truck looming ahead through the passenger side of the windshield. I start thinking to myself "nah not a burger, I ate one yesterday." As sudden as the thought of a burger is leaving my mind, a new one enters. TACO JUSTICE! And look at that. Parking available right on the street. Alright then. I bring up the familiar website from the warm comfort of my small pickup truck. Brutus burrito - Mmmmm. Yes please. Paid and tipped. Super convenient. Nice. I notice one person waiting for an order. OK cool, this probably won't take too long. I'll sit in my truck for 10 minutes and then go wait by the food truck. Door dasher comes up to the food truck, announces their presence and is promptly dismissed and pointed in a direction away from the service window "your name will be called when your order is ready!" Note to self - ok wow that seemed slightly uncomfortable, they must be super busy. I don't think I will announce myself, I will just let them call my name. Slightly unsure, but curious looking fellow approaches food truck. "Hello sir! Are you picking up!?" Snaps a clearly irritated staff person. "No no, I would like to order." replys the man. "What kind of tacos do you have?" "OK sir, look now because all of our menu items are written down here for you!" They point at the menu with an ever so slight shake of the head. Accompanied by a penetrating glare from a different staff person. 25 minutes pass since I've pulled over and I've now been standing by the food truck for at least 10 minutes. I start to question my decision of stopping here. A few more moments pass until I approach the window to inquire about my beef burrito, half expecting to be rudely dismissed and told to wait for my name to be called. "Hello, I made an online order for Lennon." I say. Without a word, staff person reaches over to what appears to be some far away corner to retrieve my now lukewarm and soggy burrito. I think to my self great, how long has that been there? So I ask. "Ohhh I don't know! Probably 10 minutes"? They respond. Since standing in the cold and bearing witness to such blatant disrespect to customers I have since become slightly irritated. I ask "why wasn't my name called?" to which they answer "that is not our system here, you have to come and say you are here and then I will call your name! I can't keep track and looking out for people with all these door dash people and everything else going on!" I reply "ok but isn't it kind of easy though to just call my name?" "No this isn't how we do it here!" Fed up, I just ask them to hand me my burrito so I can leave. They do. Before turning and walking even one step away, I hear three subsequent bursts of laughter erupt from amongst the food truck. I turn back around towards them, slightly stunned but also not surprised of this behaviour given my previous observations. I ask "why are you all laughing at me as I walk away?" To this I am not answered. I ask again, and tell them it's incredibly disrespectful and rude. Staff member in the middle responds "I'm at work dude!" Like this is normal work behavior for them. By this point I am pretty furious and deciding not to make more of a scene, I turn and walk away again. The same sarcastic and condescending burst of laughter from inside the food truck meets my ears as soon as my back is turned. Not even 3 feet away from the vehicle. I turn around again and shrug my shoulders in a questioning manner before continuing on to my vehicle. Hurt. Belittled. And greatly disappointed. Came for a beef burrito - left with emotional turmoil and a soggy dinner - former Taco Justice Fan and supporter, Lennon Walton

That burger... the best smash burger I've ever had. Flavorful, seasoned well, not too heavy--just perfect. The fries were good and well-seasoned too, but way too much food for me. It can be a bit spendy as it starts at CA$109 per person before tax and tip - at least for me I allocated the entire $100 USD dining credit with the Amex fine hotels and resorts benefit on this. Reservations are almost mandatory for weekend and I'm glad I made one just in case, although it was rather risky due to the 48 hour cancellation policy if I fly in the morning of, but it worked out. They're strict on time - I made a 12pm reservation and they refused to seat me even though it was not busy at all at 11am opening and made me wait until exactly 12pm. A bit harsh when I contacted the hotel and made a note to the restaurant for my arrival details. I got the traditional afternoon tea for 1 so just tea and 3 tiers of scones, small bites, and desserts. It was quite nice of them to refill the entire tier of savory small bites even though I only requested 3, so that was a nice touch that somewhat made up the poor first impression. You can request more of certain items for free, just don't abuse the system basically The food with the 1 tier refill was more than enough food for me - the service was decent as they checked up on me during the meal. I nicely asked for the tea gift box that is only reserved for anniversaries and they accommodated, but this will almost unlikely happen in many situations so your mileage may vary. I did wait 20 minutes for the gift box as it wasn't a priority for them, so do what you will to see if it is worth the time (I at least was not in a rush)

It's so fun to see each ice cream get made! There are also other desserts available if you want something to go, or a souvenir. There is free water. Just grab a clean cup and pour it yourself.
