***Food Poisoning*** ALERT Beware!! Food was not ok - Ahi bowl $25 barely had any AHI to be found under a whole sliced cucumber, and 1/2 cup of edamame. Then the Falafel burger was very crispy so thought it was well cooked -in hindsight think it was trying to camouflage that it was out of date since quickly after consumption was ailing in the bathroom and was in pain and very sick!! We all had been so excited about the truffle fries so ordered the LG @ $12.50 - initially they were tasting good, but OMG we barely had any of them- and something wasn't sitting right. Was so sick had to get anti diarrhea medication to stop- took a day and a half to stop running to the toilet. So bummed this place had a long line, outside it was crowded with lots of patrons waiting to get a table - but man- I'd give 0 stars if possible. My favorite part of this experience was asking various staff members why it's called Bin 4 and no one having any idea. The staff were very patient with our motley crew. According to a local I was with, Bin 4 has the second best burgers on Vancouver Island. His top spot goes to Kahuna Burger in Duncan. There are a bunch of different types of burgers, as well as options to create your own burger concoction. There's a lot of sauces to choose from. You can also have a plain old burger or choose from their non-burger options. They've got you covered if you're a vegetarian who's been dragged along. The portions are huge. There was a pile of fries. Not quite a competitive eating sized pile, but a pretty solid pile. You can also get a salad if you're some sort of monster. I went with the blue cheese burger, which was delicious, of course, because you can't go wrong with that. If you'd like to eat outside, they have a large patio that's covered, heated, and has wind barriers. While I don't understand the devotion people seem to have for Bin 4, there are plenty of things I don't understand about the world. read more

Ordered 3 meals today. Other burgers were good but my bistro burger had a rock hard cinnamon stick in the middle of it. I requested comp of my meal only as I decided not to finish the meal and we did not have time to wait for another. The manager proceeded to give me an explanation as to why a huge inedible cinnamon stick was on my burger (they use it make the onion jam but somehow they managed to missit when applying the jam to my burge)r. She was only able to comp me 25% of the burger. After I told her this was unacceptable, she provided me another 25%. All in all 117 dollars after tipping the knid waitress. After about 7 years of coming her and being treated as though this is just a consequence of how they prepare their food and something we should be willing to deal with, we will not be returning. First time for me at Bin 4. Terrific menu. Lots of creative options, including bison burgers. I ordered the "Pre-Season Favorite" and fries. Service was great. The place was busy, 6pm on a Thurs, but we were seated right away at one of the last open tables. Prompt order-taking. Food arrived quickly considering how busy it was. Nice presentation. The problem was, once we started, the fries were lukewarm, with that soggy, cardboard texture of leftovers. When our server attentively checked in minutes later I mentioned the cold fries. Right away, she got another order of fries on its way, and when they arrived piping hot, they were great. But as we waited for the fresh fries to arrive, I'm looking at my wonderful burger. Usually I alternate having a bite of burger with a few fries. Now I'm waiting for the new fries and my burger is getting cold. Better than average service rescued the meal. Our server delivered the replacement fries in under five minutes. They were excellent, crispy and nicely seasoned. I'd definitely eat at Bin 4 again. read more

Been a fan for years. Used to come for the 1/2 price burger special after 9 pm on the weekends. Hope they bring this option back after Covid. A great place for food during the rest of the day as well. The staff from kitchen to hostess are top notch so every dining experience is great. Can get loud when restaurant is full. Nice to eat outside as well and they have heat lamps to keep diners comfortable. There is a great selection of beer and drinks. Every burger is always good, including their monthly special. Wish they would put the Macho Burger on their regular menu though. I have not experienced a burger as good in any other restaurant. All of the burgers are flat grilled. I have eaten at many restaurants throughout Canada and USA that served gourmet burgers. None of them have come close to the burgers served at Bin 4. I feel so lucky to have such a great restaurant in my back yard. Real happy that there is a Bin 4 in Vancouver now! read more

Took a bit of time to get into the restaurant but that's okay because too was busy. I would recommend making reservations. It's just a more bougie version of Boston Pizza. Service was timely and fast and they made sure always to check in case we needed something. Food comes out fast as well. Bin 4 is the gift that keeps on giving. I'm almost certain that I have never said no to a Bin 4 outing in the past and I'm entirely certain that I won't say no to one in the future either. I'm slowly eating my way through the whole menu and I have absolutely no qualms about it. There are two Victoria locations that have been around for quite a while and a new one that just opened up in Westshore. I haven't been over to the Westshore one yet, but this location (Maple St) has got to be my personal fav, and it's not just because I live close and can waddle home quickly, I swear! They have a more open layout than the downtown location, which I always prefer, and their parking is much easier to get in and out of. On this visit, I wanted to try out their Sweet Corn and Chipotle burger, which is a chicken burger that mixes some deliciously sweet foods with some moderate spice to create an entree that'll make sure you're awake but won't burn your face off ;). And if you're familiar at all with their late night deal, you'll know that you can get your burger for half price as long as you go after 9pm and get a drink (although it doesn't have to be alcoholic to qualify. This time around, I decided to try their merlot and, although I forget the name of the bottle, it was veeery good. Alongside my burger I had fries with the jalapeño aioli, which is different than my usual. Typically, I get half fries and half salad but this time, I had a biiiig appetite. The service on our visit was absolutely wonderful; our server was named Robin and she said that she hadn't been working at Bin 4 for long, although it was very obvious that she had either a lot of serving experience or that she was just a super good people person. We decided to sit outside because it was quite nice out still and the heat lamps on the patio were actually perfect to keep us warm. I'm not really a burger kind of person, so I've never been to Bin 4 even though it has been recommended to me many times as a "Victoria must" Unlike me, The Mr. absolutely loves burgers. We were both really hungry after arriving into Victoria, and Bin 4 was just around the corner. I decided to give it a try, and it didn't disappoint. Turns out Bin 4 is such a fun place for gourmet burgers. We were greeted with a small bowl of kettle chips to snack on while reviewing the menu. All the offerings sounded appealing, even their tofu option. Each burger order also comes with a side, and 1 dip. We picked "Peachy Keen" and "Boss Hogg". The patties we're both pleasantly juicy. I find turkey can sometimes be dry but the Peachy Keen was cooked well. We'll definitely be visiting the Vancouver location more often! I'll have to work my way through the menu to try all of the burgers. It was not bad. I had the blue cheese burger, so maybe that's why I found the burger salty and had the deep fried pickles as a side which may have contributed to the saltiness too. I was quite thirsty afterwards. The complimentary chips we found stale as other reviews have mentioned, so suggestion would be to open a fresh bag of chips before serving, even if it was free, as bad 1st impression. This. Was. A. Delicious. Burger. Hands down one of the best I've probably had ever. It was made with a fresh bakery bun, had fresh vegetable toppings and bacon aioli (I also added aged cheddar). For the sides, you got to choose from a few options and one was having half of two different sides. A salad with some fries, how can you go wrong with that. The waitress recommended roasted garlic aioli to go with the fries, it was a perfect pairing. Me and a few friends went to Bin 4 for their late night special (if you didn't know, burgers are half off when you get a drink) it was pretty busy but we were seated quickly at the bar. The seat where I sat was beside the presenting area, where the bar tender presents the drinks to be brought to each table. The surface was mildly sticky at some small spots but nothing that really took away from my dining experience. The restaurant was loud but only just slightly over average. With a Cocktail x Burger Lounge vibe. I ordered the wild mushroom burger (with GF bun) and I was not let down! The bun seemed a bit dry at first but it evened out after the first bite. Bun : meat : sauce + works ratios were just right. Beef patty was juicy and had good flavour and a well balanced seasoning, aioli was rich and balanced the sandwich with a silky tone and the arugula was fresh and not over portioned. I ordered with fries which were both delicious but also GF with a dedicated fryer (unlike the Yates Street location), crispy on the outside with a fluffy centre. They come with one aioli but I ordered a second (garlic and truffle) which complimented the fries in just the right way. To wash it all down I ordered the mint lemonade. I have ordered this beverage before but there was something off. Today however, it was perfect. Mint was fresh, all flavours were there and well balanced. I would definitely recommend Bin 4 to anyone who enjoys a good burger and watch many to choose from!!! Of the thousands of restaurants I have eaten in this was the worst meal I have ever had. My burger was cooked to the point that it crumbled. There was supposed to be chorizo on it, instead it was this foul concoction of ground pork cooked to sawdust dryness and drenched in Manwich sauce. The topper was the piece of bone I bit down on. They changed the pickles to a very thin sliced pickle which is just horrible and not worth eating ever again for the price you pay. Bin 4 is a great place to go for a burger. Everything is made in-house and you can taste the quality. They source their meat ethically and as local as possible. It is nice knowing you are eating free-range meat without the use of antibiotics. There are so many great options as well as a bunch of gluten or dairy-free substitutes that you can do. The staff are super accommodating about swapping the protein, sauce or cheese so if there is something that you don't love on the burger. They have also always been super accommodating about my dairy sensitivity. Thank you for your tofu burger - it was super balanced and with corn, cilantro, jalapenos, butter lettuce, tomato and onion with a southeast asian flavor. The tofu itself is pressed and battered so it's almost like eating a fried chicken sandwich, but not :-) Also I really like their broiche-style burger buns, yum! Have eaten here a few times and it use to be excellent! However the last couple of times the quality has deteriorated dramatically. Burgers were over cooked, dry and lacked any flavour. Fries were over cooked to the point of being burnt and tasteless. Service was just ok except haven't to wait an unacceptable long time for a beer which when it did arrive I told the server that I didn't want it as we had finished eating and were ready to leave. Won't be going back ... which is a shame because I really used to love the Bin 4 ... too bad!!!! read more

Really nice place! Family friendly! They start you off with fresh baked kettle chips while you are deciding on your order! I had the brunch burger and deep fried pickles, the pickles were definitely the highlight! The burger was very good but the chorizo burger was very very salty! But everything else was perfect!
