Not long ago, my toddler attempted to give me a heart attack by locking herself in the car, seconds after having buckled her into her seat, and closed the door. My husband and I frantically tried numerous attempts to get inside our vehicle. After 40 minutes had past, and she had since dropped her bunny, her blankie, and cup, she was screaming, my husband was fuming, and I was hysterical. He threatened to break a window, but the glass concerned me. Fast forward to one of many freak blizzards 3 weeks later, he hit a telephone pole from the side, in that very same vehicle, which was full of glass from windows no where near her car-seat; so we had in fact made a good judgement. Anywho, he'd tried the traditional wire clothing hangers solution (for older vehicles), a sword (stronger), climbing on top of the car clawing at the sunroof, running in and out of the garage for invented notions to penetrate our vehicle, and hollering at our kid to hit the button again. Meanwhile, I'm hollering at him to call someone, please, just call someone. He gives up and quick plugs "locksmith" into the search bar in his phone, and this business pops up. He dials, has a brief conversation, and relates to me that the gentleman he spoke to will be right over. I grill him on what "right over" means exactly. As it turns out, it means less than 15 minutes. The young man who pulls up behind us in the driveway steps out of his vehicle, and looks at our spectacle of a situation; it speaks for itself. He quickly makes his way over the the driver's side door, and pops it open in less than 30 seconds. I'm relieved and embarrassed. Of course I feel like an idiot. I immediately scoop up my screaming child and leave the scene, saying thank you over and over, red in the face. My husband comes back in house about 15 minutes later. I quiz him on the payment and process of. I'm floored when he tells me "nothing". What??? Apparently, the guy said he was already in the area, he has children as well, it's happened to him, and he wasn't going to take advantage of us. Wow. I asked if my husband at least offered the locksmith gas money, $20, something. He confirms, yes he did, no he would not accept. This locksmith as far as I'm concerned is a local hero. I know the SUV wasn't on fire and dangling on the edge of a cliff, but as a mother, not being able to reach your hysterical child is upsetting and disturbing; absolute torture. As it turned out, in aforementioned blizzard, weeks later, that vehicle was totaled, right before a tree came down on the back of our house in the same week. This wonderful man saved us hundreds in paying him, or a broken window that we would have otherwise replaced, only to have an unusable vehicle not long after. It's not simply the savings either, but the funds then available for a new vehicle, and massive deductible to our home owner's insurance. Life happens, and that's how this great person responded to our catastrophe in stride. I'm grateful and impressed by that kind of compassion. It's rare to find these days. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this company. I'll start with our first encounter with them. We lost the combination to a small fire safe so we called around to multiple locksmiths. Quotes of $500 and $600 were not uncommon and then we got on the phone with Father & Son Locksmith. Chris was so kind, told me that he could come to our house and break into the safe for $400 or $500, but said if my hubby was handy, he could explain to him over the phone how to break open the safe, since it was an inexpensive one, one we could easily replace with the money we would save on a locksmith. We were blown away. And that's what he did. He explained to us over the phone how to break open the safe, and wished us luck. If we needed him, just to give him a call. Well..we did it, we successfully broke into our safe and we remembered Father & Son Locksmith the next time we needed them. My hubby lost the keys to his car yesterday. He called around to several places and got quotes from the big website guys for $200-$300 for 1 key. Then he remembered the incident with our safe and called Father & Son Locksmith. Chris's price was significantly less than the other companies and it was for 2 keys, AND he came out within the hour. In addition, he told my hubby if he ended up finding the original keys, to give him a call and he would reprogram the key for free. Long review- If you find yourself in need of a locksmith/replacement car key, the search ends here! I have a 2005 Lexus Rx330 and it has a regular turn key with buttons in the shell/head portion. Due to bad design, the shell developed a small crack about 3 months ago and finally fell completely apart a few days ago. Since the dealer wanted close to $300 to make a replacement, I decided to reach out to a few people on Yelp, including Father and Son Locksmith. They quickly responded with an estimate. He educated me on the reason behind the failure of the stock key design and mentioned a more durable switchblade key option without pushing the upgrade on me. I decided to go with the standard key and switchblade key both of which were made and worked well! Towards the end of the job, he mentioned a brand new 4 button switchblade key that he has never tried in my car. Since he is trying to increase his growing YouTube /online presence, I offered my car for him to film and test out the new 4 button key. He gave me this key at no cost, and as a thank you for letting him film and use my car for his channel. Excellent service! Responsive, courteous and reasonably priced. I was in need of a locksmith to help with a broken lock that left the door that accesses the yard stuck in the closed position. (With 3 dogs, this was more than a small inconvenience). Having never needed the services of a locksmith before, I looked for numbers on the Internet. We purchased a used Honda CRV for my daughter. It only came with one key, so I went online to purchase the blank key. I was thinking all you had to do was, take the blank to your local store and have it cut. That was not the situation, all newer car keys requires to be programmed and cut with a special machine. I went to several locksmiths in the Montgomery country region and none were able to help, so I did an search online and found Chris at Father & Son Locksmith. The service at Father & Son was white glove from the front door. I called and Chris said come on over, I went there first without the car thinking he could cut the key, but they needed to program the car for the new key. Chris and his service is professional, friendly and timely. I just moved into a new home in a new area so no clue who I could call to change the locks. Ok so my 1st yelp review & its well deserved. I somehow lost my entire set of keys, at work on a Fri night. No car key, asking coworkers for a ride home wasn't fun. Checked yelp for reviews to local locksmiths near my job this am and stumbled upon Father n Son. I have a Ford suv with a chip and keyless entry. The dealer was talking a couple of hundred so I decided to give this place a shot. Chris was already at my car by the time I got there, working on a new key. Today I received beyond excellent service! For two days we could not find my car keys so my husband finally gave in to get a new set. I called father and son locksmith to get a quote. I frantically called because I had stupidly locked myself out of my house and after a twelve hour work day just wanted to get a shower and relax. I was so frazzled when I called. I am really happy with the service I received from this company! About 5 months ago, Chris came and changed my locks at my home in the King of Prussia area. What a wonderful locksmith! I had 3 locks re-keyed, and a deadbolt replaced. The locksmith was mindful of my house and removed his shoes when walking through the house initially when I advised him of the lock locations. He then walked between doors outside when working on the 2 doors. Within an hour, he completed the effort and made some corrections to how doors were closing. I was very happy with the service! We decided to change the lock on the house we just bought. Chris showed up on time. The price was reasonable. I told him that I was needing something to secure our sliding glass door and that I was thinking of going to home depot to have someone cut a piece of wood.
