so they offered to sell us a battery with a 1 year warranty and we bought it from them. The battery turns out to have a bad cell and we call them to come out and replace the battery. They said they need to charge $70 to come out and replace, or I can take it to the store they purchased from to have it switched. They never gave a receipt after doing a zelle transaction so when I showed up to that shop they said the best they can do is recharge it. After selling us a bad battery, they wanted to still charge us for them to come out and switch it. also, you see a lot of positive reviews because they knock off a couple of bucks if you write them a good one. they were indeed fast but do not rely on them for any warranties. read more

My car battery dies after leaving the doors open for 4 hours. I requested a jump start. They were unable to get it started. They said it was because the battery had to be replaced. The car was able to be jump started after they left. When I called back to let them know about this, James said that it was because a car was used to jump start it, and that makes a difference. Charging it is different than jumping. They only jump. I told him that I was going to let my insurance carrier would be made aware. James said, "I don't care if you're not happy." My insurance got a hold of Lacoste and they said they were going to come in about 35-65 min and they were there in 35 min. Poor communication. This provider was dispatched by my insurance roadside assistance. I was quoted 30-45 minute wait. Over an hour later and with no text, phone call, or messages from provider, I received a call from my insurance company checking to see if everything was resolved. Like even the insurance company assumed it would've been completed already. When I tried to call Lacoste directly, there was no answer, and it appeared that the line was disconnected. They texted me afterward but claimed they didn't show up because I told insurance company to cancel the call. I only spoke to insurance company after over 75 minutes had passed. They also claimed to have been onsite at the time. How come I didn't get any tracking, any message, any communication or answer on the phone? If they were onsite, I definitely would've seen them, since I was in a wide open space. I didn't appreciate the lack of communication or accountability. I was luckily able to locate another service provider through my Life 360 app who arrived very promptly and sent tracking to keep me apprised of their location. If you have a choice of roadside service providers, avoid this one, unless you like to be kept in the dark. I will also be connecting with my insurance company to provide additional feedback about this provider in their network. read more

Though the insurance company's website is poorly setup, I was finally able to get a dispatch for a jump start. Insurance site stated 60-90 minute window (ugh!), yet James from Lacoste Roadside was there within 20 minutes and I was quickly off to work. He was both courteous and knowledgeable. The battery was the original one from purchase and it was over 5 years old, so it was time for a battery purchase. James had let me know that Lacoste also sold batteries and gave me a ball park quote; after checking out prices from various auto supply stores, I saw that Lacoste price was quite fair and they came to my house to install the next morning. Nope. Horrible. When they worked for Nissan they are acting weird. I waited over 2 hours. Each time I called first they said they will be there in an hour. Than we waited and it was less than 30 minutes. And 4 minutes. No one come. You can't call or text them. They don't call you. Very un responsible company.
