good fnck this place. my best friend is dead because the bartenders chose to over serve him. he'd vomited at his table, in the bathroom, and the floor near some of the tables and he was never cut off. Then the piece of sh!t that was working the door that night (who claimed to be one of his best friends as well as had the nerve to declare that at his funeral) allowed him to drive.... and I've known several women who'd been drugged while playing pool there including my late wife. fnck this place. i wish someone wouldve burnt it to the ground. read more

Ok, so we were here last night from 7pm to 2am. The bartenders were really nice, the other staff were very friendly, good, cheap drinks, and the women's restroom was CLEAN but old. Hole in the wall kind of bar. Was empty but we got there after work, like 1500. Which is when they open. We enjoyed happy hour!! They do not serve food though. Would go again with my friends for darts & pool. read more

The food was average, which is not a bad thing. Laid back atmosphere. The servers were all helpful and friendly.

I truly love this place in the deepest of my hearts but have the continuous issue with this bar of getting jumpy on cutting me off. Looking into how a bar should act it seems they normally cut off when someone begins acting erroneous or clearly way too tanked but here if I slur my words or get a restless tummy for other reasons than 2 beers I get cut off. It's sad because they'd have a lot more money and I'd be giving a straight 5 star rating but it happens quite often. read more

We used to go hang out there because it was a good place to just chill and the drinks weren't expensive. We went last night and got 1 pitcher and 1 bottle beer and our tab was over $30. This is probably one of the grossest batbrooms at a bar i have ever stepped foot in and the waitresses have horrible attitudes they play in their hair then grabs the bar fruit with their bare hands .. The guys that work there are pretty nice but over all get new batbrooms it sucks cause i cant stay for longer than a couple hours of drinking i gotta go find a bathroom when i leave the bar .. read more

Another weekend, another road trip! This time we went out to Forth Worth and made a foray to Fat's Billiards. Believe me, this place is out in the middle of nowhere. I thought I was going to see tumbleweeds rolling by. From the outside Fat's looks like a warehouse with no windows and a door that has "no one under 21 allowed" stamped on the front. Inside are two huge rooms partially separated by a wall with lots of pool tables. They also have video games, a jukebox, a few TVs, some dart boards (both regular and electronic). Just like all these bars out in the "burbs", you have to go up two stairs to get to the bar area itself. Very treacherous! They don't have food but there's a fried catfish place next door that you can call and they will deliver the food over to you. The best thing about this was the size of the drinks. I ordered vodka soda and the only size was freakin giant size! Huge drinks with two and a half shots in each! That's why this otherwise laid back, non-rowdy pool hall gets four stars instead of three! read more

The short: loved it! $2 domestic longnecks until 11pm, and lots of really, REALLY cheap pool. Plus, nice-looking dart boards and shuffle board tables. Worth the trip out of city lights. The long: saw this place when driving around and decided to try it out. Drinks were cheap ($2 domestic longnecks until 11pm nearly every day), and the pool was even cheaper!! Two tables were 50 cents, and the others (and there were a lot) were only 35 cents!!! I can't beat playing three hours of pool on a decent table for less than $5. Juke box was loaded, and after getting my butt kicked I checked out the pinball machine (Nascar) and the dart boards, both of which were in great shape. The shuffle board was well-stocked with sand, the sports arcade games were tempting, and the air hockey table looked good, too. Though this place seems in the middle of nowhere, I will definitely head out again to play some decent, cheap billiards! read more

I ordered a cocktail and stopped him when he began to fill a Beer Scooner glass with ice. I told him I prefer not to drink out of that style glass and he went off on a tangent and started insulting me like a moron. Who in their right mind insults a customer for requesting a standard cocktail glass? There were no servers tonight, so I was forced to deal with this clown if I chose to stay. I and my my friends live close to this bar, and we have tried to make it our "go too" bar. My friends and I are not rowdy, we tip well, and clean our tables after we are done. Countless times the, I guess head bartender, Jay, has been rude, and started cussing out my friends and I. We like the bar, and the vibe, but Jay, the bartender is a piece of work. This last time I went, which will be my LAST time, my friends and I put between $30-$50 in the juke box, a mix of rock, rap, metal, and edm. After 3 songs have played, Jay pulls the plug on the juke box, thus resetting the play list and I lost all my money that I payed for music. We asked Jay what happened, and ultimately he said he did not like our taste in music and told us to "F*** off". He offered no refund, no remorse, and ended the conversation with a lot of cursing. Jay the bartender should not be a bartender let alone in the service industry at all. I have never been treated so poorly in a place where I spend money. Fats is cool, but Jay the bartender has such a poor attitude and no customer service that I and my friends will never return. I really hope the owners takes care of this. Cheers -B read more

Visiting Fats can go 1 of 2 ways... You can get lucky and visit on a night that David is working (friendly guy with an honest poor) or you can get unlucky and be disrespected on a night where Jay is the bartender. On several occasions I have visited on an evening where Jay is the bartender and have been treated terribly. I have over tipped on several occasions hoping that he might not get so mad the next time I ordered a drink to no avail. I definitely would NOT recommend Fat's on a night when Jay is bartending to any of my girlfriends.... Unless you like being talked to like a piece of trash. The only thing more disgusting than the smell in this place is the customer service. read more

The review from 2016 about the bartender/manager Jake, is actually Jay, is very accurate even til now. It not only his practice apparently, but his other bartenders follow suit. One bartender told my son that he was not a real Marine because he didn't mame himself like her "significant other" and his unit did, therefore he wasn't a real marine. If you are a Marine, you might want to stop by and school her on that kind of behavior, one, maming yourself is not a Marine thing or a Marine badge, and 2, never tell a Marine they aren't a marine. They also allow other customers to get in your face and be assaulting and do nothing about it. If you stick up for yourself, you might end up in jail. Watch out for their patron "Denver", he thinks he has the right to do that and they will gang up 3 on one to prove they can do what they please. I've been going to Fats for the last ten years. I've lived in Newark and haslet for my entire life. I used to really enjoy this place seeing as its cheap and close to home. Over the last few years they have definetly taken a step back after being taken under management by jay. I'm a respectful customer who has 10+ years of bar experience and I continually get treated like garbage here. He's incredibly rude and makes me feel like he doesn't want my business. The other night I had some friends put in a sizeable amount of money in the jukebox and we watched him unplug the jukebox because it wasn't what he wanted to hear. When we confronted the so called "manager" jay he told us it was our own damn fault and it was stupid to put our money in the jukebox. After ten years of loyalty I can finally say I'm done. read more
