The food here is good but the bathrooms are nasty! So nasty that last night the smell was all through the restaurant. They have a sewer problem for sure but also a cleaning issue. The women's restroom was nasty. Middle toilet had "stuff" splattered everywhere. Floor was nasty and looked like it had not been mopped in years. Smell was awful. Owner heard me talking to a waitress and walked off not concerned. The place was almost empty. Our group of 9 and 1 person at the bar and one booth with a couple. Not sure how they pass a health inspection. I know the sewer issue can't be helped without a huge cost but cleaning it should not be an issue. read more

If you haven't tried this place you are definitely missing out. Their drinks are strong and absolutely delicious. The food is always cooked to perfection with bold flavors and perfect portions. We usually go out to dinner as a family every Friday evening and this has been our go to the past few weeks. We seriously cannot get enough of this place! There is something for everyone on the menu and we have yet to try something we didn't enjoy. The waitstaff is great and always on top of things. They know the menu and are great at recommending new things for us to try. We finally have a great place to eat in this town and our family could not be happier!!! Definitely try the Mojito!! Service was on point! Everything was brought out fresh and hot! The grilled chicken was very good and plenty of it! The veggies were very tasty as well! The chicken parm sandwich hit home good with the marinara and mozzarella cheese the veggie's added the right amount of contrast to the chicken and was very yummy! The fries were also very good and the best I've had at a sit down place! I thought the prices were reasonable for the amount of food you received and I definitely would be returning again to see what else I would like to try!? There has been poor management and disrespect for Weatherford school exes. You would think with the Rio name that would be the place to go. 3 years in a row we reserved the large room and got the small room, the 1st 2 years we had 30+people, this year was small due to no one wanting to go there. We love going to Roo's. The food is always fresh, they do not bring frozen or prepared food. I usually get the Grilled Salmon with vegetables, and it has this yummy sauce on the side. Sammie the bartender is our favorite and Angelica (I think that's her name) is always nice and professional. They are willing to change the TV channels to whatever sports you want (if they have the channel). It is a causal laid back place. Good food & good drinks. There is nothing not to like. If you liked this place when it was Flames, you will probably still like it now. Despite some obvious renovations and additional TV screens, it still has the same vibe as Flames on the inside. It can't seem to decide if it wants to be a sports bar, or a restaurant, but I think it leans toward the restaurant end of the spectrum. I have been in here for lunch twice since they opened a few weeks ago. I encountered excellent service each time. The manager was actively involved in the front of the house both times I was there, and our waitress, whose name escapes me was consistently attentive, polite, and professional. The food ranges from above average to amazing. The menu is more focused than Flames, but still has enough options that you should be able to find something that suites you. I found the fries and calamari to be exceptional, but the best thing I have tried so far are the Southwest Eggrolls appetizer. They are amazing... spicy enough for a little kick, but not overpowering, with large and juicy chunks of chicken baked into the filling. I highly recommend! I hope this place fares better than Flames. I am a little concerned, since customers were sparse on both occasions when I visited. The location isn't ideal, since it is off main street and the interstate. Hopefully the word will get out and things will pick up! read more

They looked at us sitting in the booth, but never even acknowledged us. She looked at me and we said let's go and then she came back with two menus so we decided to stay. If you are ever planning on reserving the larger party room, you might consider going somewhere else. The last 3 years I have reserved the larger room for our Weatherford High School Exes' group, and now for the third time, they moved us into the smaller room. The reservations were made a month or more in advance, and confirmed, but when arriving, our group was stuck in the the much smaller room, which did not accommodate our 35+ people in 2023 or 2024. Once, twice, and now 3 times they have done this. The management at Roo's is unprofessional, unloyal and caters to those who have more clout and obviously money, by the looks of the group that were in the original room we had reserved. Roo's is supposed to be supportive of Weatherford High School Kangaroo's, but when they treat our WHS Exes' group this way, it's definitely not showing support for the Roo's. They have showed their true colors, but they are not True Blue colors! read more

Drinks came out fast. House salad big ol salad one slice of tomato one slice of cucumber.. everything but the fries were BLAND. Want to the use salt? It was almost empty along with the mustard and ketchup and pepper. Menues sticky at the bottom everything you touched felt grimy. Sanitizer empty in the front, once we got our drinks we never were asked if we wanted a refill.. the chicken fried steak was the worst I have had in my whole life. The middle was grey I couldn't get past the first bite because I knew it wasn't right. It had no seasoning, just taste like old meat, the bread could be peeled back which also had no taste the potatoes no salt no butter plain bland not even the gravy was cooked properly. Just ate here for the first time. Our waitress was AMAZING!! She was very attentive and worked hard!! My dining partner got a burger and it looked really good, the fries were very salty. ( and I like salt as much as the next guy) I got a salad that was o k. The lettuce was old and the chicken was dry and over cooked. I can't fault Roo's for my salad being they are basically a bar serving bar food. Stick with basic bar food and you'll be better off. Wife and I grew up partly on the Gulf coast, and are seafood lovers. No shock that Weatherford isn't much of a seafood place. The restaurants that have it mostly have cheap farmed shrimp, cheap farmed salmon, catfish, etc. No thanks. We were so excited that Roos had grilled wild caught red snapper on the menu. And it was cooked perfectly, and delicious. It was easily the best piece of cooked fish (not counting great sushi at Ginza) we have eaten anyplace other than our own house since we moved here a year and a half ago. I know that this is largely a bar food menu, and that's fine too, but kudos to these guys for offering that great dish. First time here 1pm on a Saturday and beers where good and cold but as far as the food it was just not good. Wife had crab stuffed chicken came with card board thin chicken and what looked like pulverized crab and watery. I had mushroom Swiss burger and I have to say just blah and it's hard to mess up a burger. Mom had grilled chicken same thing card board with veggies and salads were swimming in water. On a good note daughter's chicken tenders and chicken wings were good as well as the fries but I doubt we'll be back. read more

We had a pretty large party and things went very smoothly. Our waitress was on the gas for 2 hours with us. She did a fantastic job. Good was average. Prices were definitely reasonable. No one complained about anything in our party so I think overall everyone really enjoyed themselves.
