Tried it for the first time with another couple. We shared fried pickles and jalapeños which were great! We had catfish and onion rings which was really good. Our friends had a burger with bacon and sweet potato fries. We all really enjoyed what we all got. It would be a really great place to hang on patio in summer with a drink and some great food. The food was alright. My server was absolutely amazing. The reason why I am leaving a bad review is due to bingo. The lady running it is very rude. If she cannot hear a group of five people screaming bingo, they should leave the door open. I found it strange how the woman who sat in front of her won right after she rejected a bingo on blackout. Find somewhere else to play bingo; this place is not worth it. I used to recommend playing bingo here to my customers at work, but I will no longer be doing that. It was our first time here and we came right in time for their 3pm Saturday Bingo game. It's a dollar to play and they only take cash for Bingo. We had a perfect view of the lake from the covered patio. We got pretzel bites for an appetizer but there were only 6 so I'd recommend getting another appetizer if you're sharing. It was good though. We both got burgers, mine was the blue bayou and it was really flavorful. The mash potatoes were made with real potatoes and had a nice buttery flavor to them. This is a nice spot to eat but the parking may be difficult because there aren't a lot of spots since it's shared with the boat ramp folks. Today my friends and I came to have dinner together. First thing you can sit wherever you can find a spot and of course none outside to see the view of the lake well. So we found a spot inside. Seating was uncomfortable for everyone. The service was okay felt like it was hard to find our waitstaff. Now to the food we got an appetizer sampler which had hardly any food on it and was not good at all. The ln to the food. The onion rings were the best thing on my plate which consisted of a chicken sandwich, which was the worst chicken sandwich I think I've ever had. My friends got the catfish basket and they said the catfish tasted dirty and was not very good. Overall, I would never come back to this place, the drinks were not good. the Texan burger with Sweet potato fries! the worst food ever! fries cold.. and that goes for all 6 of us at the table. the burger tasted like it was sausage, with a weird texture and barely warm. the only good thing about it was the server -she was nice. she told the manager before the ticket was brought out and after I wrote on the back of the ticket. We really enjoy coming to this place! They have both inside and outside seating and are family friendly. It can get pretty packed in the middle of summer as the marina is in the same parking lot, but we've only had to leave once due to not wanting to wait for a table. All other times we were able to find a table right away and we always sit on the patio, which is covered. Service is always quick and friendly. Lots of typical bar food and a few lighter options like salads. I wouldn't say the food is out of the world, but it's decent for the establishment. The funnel cake stick though....are out of this world! Comes with chocolate and caramel dipping sauce. I couldn't stop eating them! Their cheese curds are yummy with a really nice spice. We had lunch with friends at the Tavern this weekend. The service was decent, the view of the lake was nice. The food was lacking overall. We had high hopes as the reviews were good. Service was so good my husband said "we're moving to Texas!" They even treated our pup to some ice cold water because it was so hot out! We liked it. This was our first time here. We sat outside on the covered deck. We were greeted promptly and drink ours were taken and delivered. It took the server (Sheri) a bit to get to taking our order. I think that was due to a number of orders coming out of the kitchen at the same time. Drinks were great. This place is lovely. The food itself leans towards the basic side, hamburgers, frito pie, sandwiches etc. But I'll tell you what did it for me was the location and the staff. First of all, why did I not know how pretty Weatherford marina was?! I often go out to lake Granbury or Eagle Mountain but Weatherford was a best kept secret for me! This little spot is right on the lake, you can walk out on the docks or see the Geese/Ducks right by the patio. They had live music and a super cute patio area. And I'm pretty sure it was the owner of the place waiting on us. He was a doll! Very helpful and friendly. Personable even though my guest and I weren't drinking which sometimes at places like this can make them ignore you a bit. He was patient and attended us like we were the most important people there and you could tell he was proud of his restaurant and friends with everyone there. (It was actually pretty busy!) We had the bacon cheese fries and shared a frito pie. It was good bar food! Decent price. I would definitely recommend trying this place out if you need some water scenery in your life or are just looking for some down home friendly people. read more

For starters, the lake view is GORGEOUS. It's a humid day here, so an iced glass with cold beer, really kept my boyfriend and I cool :) the service was great. We ordered the cheese fries starter, they have a large and small portion. We got the small and it was still really big. I had the garlic parm chicken sandwich off the waiters recommendation. (Late review -- came at the end of December) Dropped in later in the night with my mom and her friend for some drinks. Being winter I decided to order the spiked hot chocolate which was great and definitely much needed since we were sitting outside. I ordered the hush puppies and the chili. Okay, so I know this is a controversial topic here in Texas but I am a firm believer that beans belong in chili. The chili here did not have beans, which fine I can deal without it if that's the case, however it tasted very bland and looked like poop (I'm so sorry lol). It was extremely unappetizing and I would never order it again. The hushpuppies were extremely dry and overcooked (or old possibly). I was very disappointed with the food I ordered, so I'd like to come back and maybe try something else. Though I'll admit I'm a bit hesitant and may just stick to the drinks and ambiance. I'm hoping though that the food was due to me coming in so close to closing time and that it's not always like that. The server was funny as Hell and on top of her shit like no other. We finally made our way over to the Tavern and we are so glad we did! I had hesitated going for several months assuming most everything on the menu would be fried. Then I finally really looked at the menu and decided to take my kiddo. We're pretty strict on being low-carb, almost full keto, for health reasons-but this place did not disappoint! We're able to find many great meals and easily make modifications. And, dining while overlooking the lake is great! The service is pretty awesome too! Super attentive-when we got a sweet tea instead of an unsweetened tea-which would've been catastrophic for my son's blood glucose levels-they were very understanding of 'why' that was an issue for us and got it remedied without any strange looks or signs of annoyance, which does happen at some places.
