Faulkner Subaru (Cori in the service department, in particular) is amazing. I bought my Subaru Outback at a discount car lot out of state, attracted by the price of the car. When I got it home, though, I discovered some problems with the car that needed to be addressed. I took it to my local dealership, Faulkner Subaru, wondering if I would get quality service since I didn't buy my car there. My worries proved to be unfounded, however. The moment Cori picked up the phone and asked me what was going on with my car, I knew I was in good hands. That crucial first impression over the phone should never be underestimated. My wife and I had recently moved to this area in search of work after I had been furloughed from my job in Indiana due to COVID-19. We were in a brand new town where we didn't know anyone, trying to make every dollar stretch, and feeling particularly vulnerable with a car we had just purchased. Cori stepped in and became an advocate for us, dealing with a long, frustrating, drawn out process between the discount car lot that sold me the car and the warranty company that was balking at the coverage claim. It was more than two weeks of a loaner vehicle and daily advocacy, and my car was finally approved for repair. I cannot say enough about my amazing experience with Faulkner Subaru. By the time I arrived at Faulkner Subaru in Bethlehem, I already knew what car I wanted, trim and color. I only stopped in to get pricing from them to give me something think about over the weekend and MAYBE return the next week to purchase. I'd gotten an online quote from Faulkner and it was lower than two other dealerships I had visited by $1500+! I don't enjoy buying new cars. I don't like the 'let me ask my manager' bologna that dealerships put you through, but I also want a good price for a car. Faulkner didn't go through that process. I got their best price from the beginning and it was basically what we'd hoped to pay AFTER jumping through the 'let me ask my manager' hoops. I immediately liked Shawna, the salesperson. She was knowledge, friendly, professional and well... just normal! There was no pressure or pitches. It ended up that Faulkner had the exact car I was looking for even though it hadn't shown up online. I ended up buying the car that very day because I felt like I was getting a very good price and liked Shawna and wanted to work with her. Mitch, from finance, was very nice, not pushy at all and just a pleasant guy to talk with as well. This day may have started as just a stop to get pricing, but it certainly helped me dislike car buying a lot less! We'll be back when its time for another car! read more

After viewing on-line pictures of a used 2013 Silverado stock # DZ248525 (currently on their site as of 11/4) negotiated CASH deal (last week of Oct.) in the amount of $26,500. (original listing $27,500.). Delivery was to be following day (10-31) pending inspection and test driving. Drove 4 hrs (from NY) to dealership and arrived promptly at stated time. Attendant pulls vehicle around front of dealership - Reminder: They were very much aware of my arrival time yet truck wasn't even washed (hood,windshield were fility , fuel tank was on fumes, some fluids were low ... Complete lack of predelivery preparation/inspection. Found two body issues that were not apparent in pictures nor disclosed over phone. They were not even willing to discuss/negotiate further stating "we're already taking a loss on this truck"......... Given that I drove a considerable distance I'm confident they assumed I would take it at any cost. In the end, they let an out of state customer with cash in hand - walk - and so I did. 2 days later (on 11/2) they reduce the on-line listing price by $500 to $27,000.......... ????? Less than 2 weeks later they reduce the listing price to what we agreed to at the start ($26,500)??? Couldn't work with me on price when I was there???? Would not recommend doing business with this dealership. read more

Went in at 3:00 for an oil change and tire rotation. Was told it would be an hour and a half. Yes, for AN OIL CHANGE!!! I was told the car would be done by 4:30. Unfortunately, since you are unable to make an appointment for an oil change, I had no choice but to wait. At 4:00 the service advisor came out to me and told me that my air and cabin filters were dirty and needed to be replaced. I told him, "not this time". He said my car was just about done. At 4:23 no one had come out to tell me my car was done so I walked out to the service desk and to my advisor. It appeared that I had interrupted him on his cell phone. When I asked if it would be much longer he said, "oh, I have your paperwork right here". So, then why didn't he come out to get me?????!!!! Perhaps it was because I said no to changing the filters? I also got a "complimentary" 39 point inspection of my vehicle. When I got home, I saw that some of the items needed attention. These were never discussed with me before I left. If all of this wasn't bad enough, I was sent a satisfaction survey which I returned with the same complaints as above and I have not heard anything from the dealership. Not even a sorry. Our next Subaru will be purchased and serviced at Ciocca. read more

My fiancee and I were new car shopping after I had an accident and totaled my old car. We were looking for an SUV and showed up at the Faulkner Subaru Bethlehem based on a recommendation from a friend. We told them the situation, and the salesperson ran us through a couple of options as far as available models. We were rather unprepared given that we hadn't been planning on buying a car, so after picking the Forester and taking it for a test drive, when we sat down to discuss numbers we realized that my fiancee and I hadn't discussed our budget as thoroughly as we should have. The salesman, Craig, and the manager, Nancy, told us to take our time and provided us with sales options vs lease options and gave us the information for other models just in case. When we said we needed to think about it before buying, there was no hard sell. They didn't ask for a deposit, no "is there anything I can do to get your business today?" -- nothing. Zero pressure. We went out and test drove a Mazda CX-5 the next day, which I did not like at all, and were very heavily pressured by the Mazda dealership to buy the car even after I told them I didn't like the car. So we went back to Faulkner and leased the Forester. Great car, great experience. read more

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE SMOOTHEST CAR TRANSACTION I'VE EVER DONE BY FAR! 5+ stars for Mr. Roland Zuk! Dec. 23 2014 I saw a vehicle Faulkner had for sale and called to ask about it for my daughter. Mr. Roland Zuk came across as being very polite and professional, both over the phone and in person. My drive to the dealership was about 6 hours and Mr. Zuk called to check on me along the way to make sure I wasn't lost or worse. After I arrived, inspected and test drove the car he drove me to the airport to return my rental car. Afterwards, as I walked around the showroom, other Faulkner employees/sales was attentive and asked if someone was assisting me. The car was washed and detailed again before I left with A FULL TANK OF GAS! Man, it just seems like everything was perfect working with Mr. Roland Zuk and my daughter loves her LIKE NEW car! I couldn't have asked for a nicer gentleman to work with at Faulkner Subaru other than Mr. Roland Zuk. I will definitely keep him in mind when we shop for another vehicle. This review is of the service department. I have bren a Faulkner customer since 2000. I had nothing but great things to day until the last 2 services. This last experience with Service manager Anthony was terrible and has left me not trusting anything about their service department. My husband had the car in for a noise cpming from the front end. He was told that it was the axle and it was covered under warrenty. He was also told that the car was inspected with their free point inspection and the car neede new brake pads, spark plugs oil and air filters. All of which were changed 2 weeks prior by a mechanic (whom is good and trust worthy showing me everything as they did it) with authentic subaru parts. Anthony then proceeded to tell my husband there were after market rotors on the car. Uhmmm the rotors have NEVER been changed! Soooo if they are on the car as he says Faulkner sold me a brand new 2013 crosstrek with after market rotors on. Completely disgusted with them. I emailed them with the complaint and never got a response. After buying 2 new subarus from them I am afraid to say I will be looking elsewhere for my next. read more

In over 37 years of owning and having cars serviced this is the dealer with the worst service I have experienced. I scheduled to have the PA State Inspection, Emission Inspection and an oil change. When I got to the dealer all of the service reps we busy talking to themselves with several people waiting in line.They did not come out until I told the cashier that I was going to be late for work and she went in and got them. The customer in front of me let me go ahead of him because he was not in a hurry so I thank that customer for his kindness. Never the less I was late for work. I presented a coupon for a complimentary car wash. I did not know that when it is complimentary it does not include cleaning the roof or the back of the vehicle. Their prices are also high. They replace the air filter and it cost over $45.00. This dealer also does not include free lifetime state inspection when you purchase your car there. I had a very good experience purchasing a new Subaru 2017 Forester. I started looking at 2015 and 2016 models, but they offered a very good deal on a 2017 model -- so I ended up with that one. It did take a while to complete the sale since the vehicle was new and not prepped, and there were a few things with the prep that they took care of after I called attention to them. I was given a very good price for two different vehicles through truecar.com before I visited, which they honored. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and no games. I also had my first experience with their service, which was outstanding. My vehicle developed a check engine light along with other warnings. Without any appointment, I stopped by. They had a very knowledgeable tech read the fault code with a computer. It turned out to be an issue for which he knew they had a service bulletin, so he flashed an update to the car's emission control computer right away which solved my problem. So far I am definitely very happy with Faulkner Subaru and recommend them to anyone else. read more

The salesman was a nice guy, pretty decent, but he was pressed for time on the day I was to pick up the car, so the sit down inside the car to have him explain each feature and how they worked never happened. It was a bit disappointing but I understood, he had other appointments lined up, but I could not help but wonder why he stacked the appointments so closely together so that he could not complete the sales process as I hoped he would. I did receive a call thanking me for my business a couple of days later, but I didn't know if it was Faulkner policy to do so or the salesman being thankful; I suspected it was policy. Nevertheless, I like the car. I purchased it for a reasonable price and I hope to own it for many trouble free years. Please don't hold these comments against the salesman - he's a nice guy and my wife and I liked him. But please consider them and maybe make it policy that a review of a car's features on the day of sale is done with each customer. Thanks for listening. read more

I stopped in for my Free first oil change. No Issues, In and Out. Good pleasant experience with a nice waiting area. I purchase my vehicle late Sept.and enjoying it. I am so glad that I travelled to Faulkners to purchase my '17 Outback. Great deal and a very friendly atmosphere. When I picked it up, I also purchased a rear seat protector and a cargo net which my salesperson had reserved in Parts Dept. On way home my wife commented on why they did not offer to put them in since it was a brand new vehicle. I installed them myself. Not too big of a deal with the seat protector; but the cargo net needed to have holes drilled for the upper mounting knobs. Both items did not have installation instructions. Thanks to YouTube and searching different sites for instructions and a template to drill the respective holes. Thinking back, IT would have been nice of Faulkner's to have put them in. I just purchased a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek (my first Subaru ever) from Faulkner last week. I can honestly say that I had a great experience and felt that the staff was upfront and professional. I went to Faulkner looking specifically for a silver 5 speed Crosstrek and found out that manual transmissions are becoming a rarity these days (for some of the models). However, the salesman worked with me and was able to track down and retrieve a brand new silver 5 speed Crosstrek for me within several days--the exact car I was looking for. The salesman, Roland Zuk, was very knowledgeable, patient, and informative--I felt that he listened to me and worked hard to get me the car I wanted. Michael from the finance department was courteous and very clear about the financing process and insurance/warranty options. I love my car so far and would not have done anything differently. Went in on a Thursday, worked with Mike Hoherchak in sales, and he was terrific. Very laid-back, low pressure environment, and a much better experience than we expected. Everyone at Faulkner worked at making sure we got the Subaru we wanted, and that the process was smooth and easy. Frank in finance was great, and explained the financing and warranty options available to us on our Subaru. They handled the transfer of our tags to the new car, and we drove home with our 2017 Outback on Friday afternoon. It may take me a while to figure out what all these buttons do but we love it, and already have 135 miles on the car! Arrived at the dealer early in the day for an oil change. I had no problem getting my car registered. I asked if they would make sure it was ready for the cold months ahead. I was given a list of everything that would be checked out by the service technician beforehand. I really liked that because it not only informed me, but also assured me. Being a woman, I appreciated the explaination of what was going to be done. After I left the dealership my tire pressure light came on and I called to have it checked out. They took my car right in, checked it thoroughly, only to find that there was a leak in the tire. They fixed the leak. There was no charge. And I left feeling much better. Last Saturday, we had our best car buying experience ever at Faulkner Subaru on 330 Stoke Park road. Employees at Faulkner are genuine. We felt at ease discussing our needs and concerns with them. Our Sales Consultant was Dylan Haas. He is a very pleasant, patient young man with detailed knowledge of Subaru products. If we are asked to score 1 to 10 for the service he provided to us, we think he definitely deserves 12 or even 15. We also had high regard for Frank Bernhard and Nancy McCabe. This dealership consists of very nice people. When our Nissan Altima is ready to be tread in, we'd like to go to Faulkner Subaru on 330 Stoke Park Road again. Wasn't happy with their attention to detail. I brought my car in for a big job (head gasket) and while they got it done in a pretty timely fashion, the inside of my car was torn apart when I got it back. As in, there were screws sitting there that I had to put back in myself because they had apparently torn out the whole area where the gear shift/CD holder sits next to the driver's seat and didn't put it back all the way. (This was after telling me that 2 people had taken the car for a test drive the last day to make sure it was good to go. How did neither of them notice this?) Makes me wonder how sloppy they were with the rest of the car that I *couldn't* see. read more

Just went in for an oil change. Nice thing, you don't need to make an appointment for something like that. I went in as soon as they opened, so it was done right away. Not sure how quick it is if you go in mid-day. A nice clean waiting room with free Wi-Fi, tv, free coffee, & free protein bars. They are always friendly and explain any other issues they find wrong during their inspection of your vehicle. I must say, most times they find something else in addition to the oil change, but the last 2 times I was able to get out of there with just the oil change. I'm diligent about always taking my car in per the suggested service guidelines. read more

I started bringing my Subaru here for routine maintenance because I had purchased the pre-paid maintenance plan with the car. Now that my plan has expired, I still bring my car here for service, even though there are closer shops. I have been pleased with every maintenance and repair job done here over the last three years. The shop is clean. The waiting area is comfortable and has the convenience of Wi-Fi, which gives me the option of continuing to work while waiting for my car. When talking with the staff, I feel like they consider me their most important customer. They do an excellent job of explaining my repair options. read more

We bought our tibeca b9 from Jared here at Faulkner in march. Everything about the entire experience was great. From the moment we walked into the dealership until the we walked out to our new car. We love the vehicle. We will be Subaru people from now on. Our salesman, Jared, was incredible. He is trustworthy and genuine. He isn't your typical salesman you're used to experiencing.
