I know what I am looking at and with miles it was a bit over price. No good or great deal. So they are holding out for top ridiculous retail without a penny off. Then my trade... drum roll....they will give me the most ridiculous low ball wholesale and never even attempt to negotiate. They were 4 thousand below trade from what 4 other dealers offered. On 1/19/26 around 3 PM, I stopped by this dealership during an emergency needing help printing a document. I chose this location because of its positive reviews and expected basic professionalism. Instead, I was reminded very quickly that respect here is conditional. As I began explaining my situation to the woman at the desk, a man standing next to her abruptly interrupted me. Without letting me finish a sentence, he began talking about "security" and "safety," stated they don't print documents, and then told me to leave--purely because he did not want to help. No attempt to listen, no courtesy, no professionalism. What stood out wasn't the refusal--it was the attitude. It was very clear that because I wasn't there to buy a car, I wasn't worth basic human decency. Anyone who's ever bought a vehicle knows dealerships have no issue printing pay stubs, bank statements, or paperwork when money is involved. The double standard was obvious. I left calmly and with my head held high, but genuinely disappointed. This dealership presents itself well online, but in person, if you're not immediately profitable to them, you're treated as an inconvenience rather than a person. I purchased a brand new 2022 Toyota RAV4 hybrid at Krause and they gave me a fair trade in for my car as well as did not up charge me on my new car. The car is beautiful, runs well and well worth Any wait. Jim has been great to work with and the other day I brought the car in and ask them about a light scratch I he gotten on my car door and they literally buffed it out without charging me anything. If I could give this dealership a zero, I would. We bought a protection plan on our Nissan through our preferred dealership that covers our tires. Long story short, our tire blew out on 22 and had to put the spare on. Our protection plan covers us to replace our tire at any dealership. However when we called with our claim number to set up an appointment through Krause, we were told to go to a Nissan dealership and that they don't have Nissan sized tires. Unbelievable. I've never of "Nissan sized" tires. All they needed was an 18" tire and our protection plan would've sent them the check directly within a couple of days. Worst experience with a car dealer. First, they sold us a clearly faulty car. Within a month, we had to change both the battery and alternator. I know is a risk you take when buying used cars, but they're clearly selling lemons without giving you all the information. Worst thing yet, they didn't give us the wheel lock keys for the car (which we didn't know we need it). When contacting them about them, instead of being responsible and assuming their part, they just told us to "go buy them at the dealer". Buying a used car can be a gamble, and you want to buy it from a business that is trustworthy and offers a good, reliable service. This is not them. Go spend your money somewhere else. read more

This review is about the Service department. While there were a few small snags in the process of scheduling my appointment and getting updates about my vehicle's status and repair estimate, I was very impressed once I spoke with the Service Advisor. (I'm embarrassed to say, I have forgotten his name! It's only because I was blown away by his great service.) :) He told me that my vehicle would need a couple of things but they could wait, and said I might as well get all the use out of the current parts that I can. I don't think I have ever heard a mechanic say anything like that!! He even told me when they are having special promotions on the things I would need. To me, that was an excellent display of concern for the customer. I felt like my time and money were valued, and trust was built. I'm guessing I could probably get some of the suggested repairs cheaper somewhere else, but because of the great service I will return to Krause Toyota! read more

I had been looking at slightly used trucks without loyalty to the Toyota brand. After visiting a few other dealerships and being woefully unimpressed, I found a 2015 Toyota Tacoma on Krause Toyota's website. I inquired via e-mail, and Cliff Swoyer responded to my e-mail in a day. In the first e-mail, he gave me the "no haggle" price on the truck, a discount from its online listing of about $750. Upon arrival at the dealership, I was refreshed by the fact that I wasn't "pounced" on before I could even get in the door of the dealership (can't stand when salespeople sit on the benches outside the door waiting for you!) and another salesperson/manager quickly fetched Cliff for us. Cliff was calm and conversational the entire time, and actually took the time to listen to both me & my wife's concerns. I was overly pleased that he didn't rush us, and allowed us to look over the truck inside and out before even getting in it for a test drive. He won us over with what I would call the "little things" that every other dealer seems to miss. For starters, this meant treating my wife like she actually exists. I can't tell you how many dealers I've been to where they focus on only me, and my wife is just along for the ride. Cliff shook both of our hands, probably listened to more of my wife's concerns than mine, and even made the suggestion that we switch drivers halfway through the test drive so she could drive the truck as well. He also took us on a bit of a "course" for a test drive, using back roads, highways, and even pulling into a parking lot to see the turning radius of the truck, park the truck, and use the backup camera. He was quick to answer any questions we had and was incredibly knowledgeable on all of the Tacoma's features. Upon getting back to the dealership, we once again looked over the truck inside and out, with Cliff explaining all the features along the way. Cliff volunteered to go back inside so we could discuss amongst ourselves if we wanted the truck or not - no pressure and no pushiness from Cliff. We went back inside and told Cliff we wanted the truck, and he shook our hands promptly (again) and we started the financing/sales process. He helped us get a trade appraised, and Krause could not beat another offer we had to sell it outright - no big deal. Once Cliff had drawn up the basic paperwork, we went and sat with Tara, the finance director. She was just as personable as Cliff, and also was not pushy. We had financing already lined up through our credit union, we put a deposit down on the truck, and we were out the door. (The truck had not been put through the shop yet when we test drove it, so they wanted to do that, certify it with Toyota, and put 4 new tires on it, so we had to come back to pick up.) Later that week, we went to pick up the truck. It was fully detailed (although they missed a few interior compartments), had four new tires on it, and was now a certified pre-owned Toyota truck. We met again with Cliff first, who we made go on another test drive with us to see how the new tires made the truck feel, and were then ushered into Tara's office again. She was quick and straightforward in a process that some dealerships take forever to do - she had all the necessary paperwork drawn up, and was ready to complete our deal. We had spoke about extended warranty options at our first meeting, and I decided to purchase one of those with the truck, which she easily added into the deal at the price she quoted us originally. We also opted for GAP coverage on our loan, which was quite inexpensive. A few signatures, and the deal was done! Tara was never pushy or "gimmicky" with any of the many aftermarket products, even going as far to tell us that some of them really were not cost-effective or that we just wouldn't have a need for them. This was something I had never experienced at any dealer - usually I dread the trip to the finance office. We got back with Cliff afterward and he offered to set up the Bluetooth on my phone in the truck, but I told him I actually like taking it home and learning how to do all of that myself. We parted ways with Cliff saying if either of us ever had any questions or issues to please call or text him anytime. He texted me the next morning to make sure everything felt right with the truck, and wished us many happy years with it. Take it from me, as a person who has worked at car dealerships in the past, Krause Toyota does it differently, and you'll see it from your first time stepping onto the lot. Their salespeople are not pushy like most dealerships, and everyone is respectful, kind, and courteous, and cares a lot about what goes into your specific decision to purchase/lease. Most of their employees are long-time members of the Krause family, and if this is the way this dealership has always operated, I can see exactly why. they made this a seamless process and were complete professionals the entire time. Tried charging $700 for a simple repair and I took it to a shop and they fixed it for $200. Left my hood open and the air conditioning on and keys in the ignition for 2 hours when they were not even looking at it. read more

My Experience: I would give negative stars if I could. We bought my husbands car and within 3 months it broke down. We took it in and it needed a new engine due to something the person who did the last oil change did. The last person was your dealership! They made us pay $4,000 for a new engine. A few weeks later, the light went on again. Back in for more work. Would not take car back, would only trade in for a car worth half as much as we paid 3 months prior. I tried contacting the owner as well as the prior owner (his father) and no response. I am appalled at the customer service at this dealership. Only person I will vouch for at this dealership is Joe Harris, the sales person. While he couldn't do anything trade wise, he has done everything he can to help us out when we have to keep bringing it back and it's appreciated. During the sales process, Kara was very patient, informative, and reasonable to deal with. Tara in the Finance Department was very helpful in navigating all the quirky issues in buying a car out of state, transporting it home, getting it insured, getting plates, etc. - my home state of Massachusetts doesn't generally make any of this easy either. Buyer beware!!! I drove 2 hours from Delaware to purchase a 2011 Acura MDX from this dealer because the interior color was rare. While test driving the car I noticed the front driver side shocks weren't functioning properly (clunking sound when hitting bumps) and the steering wheel wobbled while driving. The sales person Teresa assured me the dealer would fix anything that was wrong with the car all I have to do is bring it in. I took delivery of the car Saturday (while I have there) and planned to bring the car back to get fixed in a couple weeks since the dealer gave a 3 month warranty. Took the car to Acura who said it will require about $2,800 in requires to fix the clunking noise. I called the used car sales man who told me they ONLY fix things that would prevent the car from passing PA state inspections. Apparently they don't think anything is wrong with a car that clunks every time it goes over a bump. read more

The used car department thought it was safe to sell me a car missing wheel liners and with engine covers held on by zip ties. It also has bad brakes. When I called the service department they were not friendly and told me the brakes would get better as I drove. They did fix the problems, but I will not deal with them again, as I can't trust their judgement on safety. read more
