Before they'll accept a bike on consignment, they charge $200 for a health and safety inspection. My 2018 Indian Scout Bobber had fewer than 4,000 miles, was in excellent condition, and passed that inspection without issue. After my bike sat on their showroom floor for 10 months, I received a call saying they could no longer sell it unless I paid approximately $700 to replace the fork seals and another $150 for a new battery. The battery recommendation made no sense because I had installed a brand-new battery only a month before dropping the bike off. It also appears the battery was never kept on a tender during the 10 months they had possession of it. When I picked up my motorcycle, I discovered a large scratch on the top of the rear fender that was not there when I left it. They denied any responsibility. To make matters worse, they still tried to charge me to replace the battery before releasing my bike. Overall, I left disappointed with the communication, the care taken with my motorcycle, and what felt like unnecessary repair recommendations after almost a year of waiting. I would not use their consignment service again.

He changed my tires and pointed out a weeping seal on my final drive. He mentioned it would be an easy job I could tackle myself but offered to take care of it if I wasn't up to it. Ben really listens to you and while he is great at pointing out things that need addressing he does so in a helpful way and is never pushy when recommending any work. He knows these bikes like the back of his hand and is an absolute wealth of knowledge. He encourages me to do my own maintenance and has given me confidence in my own ability to wrench on my bike. He lets me pick his brain about even the smallest details. My bike has never ran better than it does today, and I owe it all to Ben. Ben and Nikya run a clean shop and continually exceed my expectations with great work and excellent customer service. If you have a BMW that is in need of service do yourself a favor and give them a call.

I paid $180 for an inspection, and they performed…read moredishonest, dangerously lazy work. ​I have photographic proof of the following: ​Blatant lies: They marked my oil level as "LOW" on the invoice. My sight glass shows it is perfectly full with clean oil. Note: i asked them to not do oil change because i do that myself. ​Dangerous negligence: They claimed to adjust my chain, but my "before and after" photos prove the alignment marks and slack never changed. Worse, they left the backing lock-nuts on BOTH the right and left swingarms completely loose. ​Loose hardware: Both brake fluid reservoir caps were left loose with noticeable play in them. I had to personally tighten the screws down further myself so they wouldn't leak or vibrate off. ​Skipped work: I explicitly asked for a throttle and clutch cable adjustment. They didn't even touch them--the play is exactly the same as when I dropped it off. ​Leaving critical hardware loose on both sides of the axle and completely ignoring requested safety adjustments after a paid inspection is incredibly unsafe. It feels like they will lie to scare you into buying unneeded services and send you out the door on an unsafe bike. Avoid RS Speed Shop at all costs.

I have a healthy distrust of mechanics after a lifetime of doing my own repairs and getting robbed…read moreany time I needed to have work done I didn't have specialized tools for. When it came time to get a leveling kit for my truck, there weren't many options in town. 831 Trucks were the highest rated. So I went in for an estimate. Starting with the service... the level of honesty and customer service here is absolutely unrivaled. I like to off-road, but this truck is also my daily driver, so I was torn on getting a 3.5" lift, or just a leveling kit to get some much needed front end clearance. They could have taken the chance to try and upsell me on the much more expensive lift, but that's not what they did. They asked questions about my driving habits, do I tow, how often do I off-road, and suggested that the leveling kit would be much more effective for my use, and much less expensive. Wow! The estimate wasn't gouging. No giant part markups here, just what they cost, and I checked. The work was done in half a day, and it was done very well. The next morning I noticed the front end suspension on the driver side was making some wild noises. So I took it back, they looked at it for no charge, and let me know that my struts had reached the end of their life after 118k miles. Fair enough! They suggested a part, provided a competitive quote (again, no part markups), and had it installed in less than half a day after I got back from my weekend getaway. Because the new shocks were also leveling, and I had just been there, they very generously adjusted the cost. It made a customer for life. The new ride is incredible, and after having crawled around under the truck, the workmanship is fantastic. I had noticed what looked like coolant on my driveway, and when I picked the truck up from the shock install, they let me know it looked like my water pump was leaking. No upsell, no push to have the work done. They said they noticed the leak, suggested the work, and let me know they were there if needed. I got it home and traced the leak to the gaskets on my pump. At 120k miles, I'd say it reached the end of its operable life. Guess where I'll be going to get that taken care of? Thanks for being awesome, 831 Trucks.
