I love people that love to work and this business was busy when most salons are closed on Mondays. The staff was so polite, kind and helpful. The salon ambiance was calming, fun and relaxing! They are definitely good at what they do and love what they do. Christina was fantastic, definitely knew what I wanted, was reading my mind and totally Intune to my needs. I only had my hair trimmed during the appointment, yet I was charged the full $65 haircut fee in addition to my color. Ellie mentioned that I shouldn't worry about the $65 fee since we would only trim Every Other visit, but it still felt a little unfair to pay the full haircut price for just a trim. I do appreciate the quality of the color work and the stylist's skill, but I wish the pricing was clearer and more reflective of the actual service provided.

I asked for a soft, faded balayage and instead got the most blotchy, choppy, uneven mess you can imagine. It was nothing like what I asked for--TEASY balayage, not zebra stripes! I was absolutely devastated. I trusted them, and they RUINED my hair. I'm still traumatized and thank GOD I went to a different hair salon to fix it. And to top it off, when I asked for a refund, the owner said no, unless I went there and they fixed it AS IF I had the confidence and trust them with my hair again, HECK NO, no apology, no accountability, nothing. I'm Asian and have thick black hair that needs to be very heavily trimmed, thinned, and layered. She always asks and makes sure what length you want whether and how much thinning you want. She not only cut my hair but she washed it, cleaned up some strands, oiled my hair, and styled it. I don't know if she discounted me due to a referral or because she was new but she is so affordable and so kind, I gave her a big tip. If you are looking for any kind of Korean style hair cut (like wolf cut) or have thicker hair like mine, I highly recommend her. She is the first hair stylist I've been to who has thinned and layered my hair exactly the way I want it. She does hair dye as well so I'm hoping to get mine done by her in the future!

Everytime I show up for an appointment, no matter how rushed I've been, how bad traffic was, or the tone if the day, the first interaction when I walk in is her greeting. But more than that, she seems genuinely glad to see me. I've joked with our ' hair- doer' Yeny that the effects of being at Verve help to noticeably melt away the weeks worth of ' junk', especially during the wash and scalp (soul) massage.
