It shares the same building with the Mitsuwa Market, so, of course, the shop is much smaller than the other ones out there, making it a bit more cramped. With this in mind, the books, stationery, gifts, and other goods here aren't as impressive as say a standalone Kinokuniya (common sense) or the ones that are located in malls. Or maybe I'm just spoiled by the options that I have in SoCal. It's not bad when you're in the area, but if you're a tourist and want a more comprehensive Kino experience, I would say your best bet is the Japantown SF location. However, it's still nice to stop by and see what cute stuff that they have.

It's all neatly organized and displayed nicely, the perfect setup to keep you wandering the aisles. I was there today, wanting to buy myself something cute. I saw lots of stuff that appealed to me, like kitty cat thank you cards, grocery shopping bags, and cute little doodad trays, but for whatever reason didn't buy myself anything. I still had a great time checking out all of the adorable merchandise. This shop is attached to Mitsuwa Market and you enter through the food court. This is a busy shopping center with lots of stores and restaurants; parking can be problematic on weekends.

I had done my homework beforehand -- did some research on the brands that Kelly Paper carries, the available colors, weights, sizes, etc. -- and I was looking for Classic Crest or Linen papers. There were two full aisles, organized by weight and color and texture, of pretty papers for me to look through -- heaven, I tell you! You can buy samples of papers before you commit to a whole ream. I picked up a few pages of stocks I was interested in (each piece was, like, ten cents). As I approached the register, the super-nice clerk told me that I could just take them, because she knew that I would be back to buy a ream. Awesome :) It definitely helped to do some paper research beforehand. With their wide selection, Kelly Paper can be overwhelming, so have an idea of what you're looking for before going in. And usually, there would only be one or two people working, so you may not get the assistance you need. Their prices are cheaper than Paper Source (especially for the Stardream Papers); it's definitely worth checking out.

I went from a quick browse to walking in and staying a while. I browsed all the items and loved every inch of this store. It's a perfectly curated space. Every area has been well thought out and has a lot of different items for everyone. I didn't come in thinking I'd leave with anything but ended up finding a birthday gift a beautiful book about the ocean for a kiddo. I also found these tiny boxes that you turn and they play a classical song so that came with me too. I wanted to buy all the cards! I saw a woman walking around and let her know that her space was beautiful curated. She was very kind and I later learned she is the owner. She rung up my order and after asking if she had any wrapping for my book she found some leftover and wrapped up my gift. Gwen was very kind and has taken a lot of consideration on the items she displays at her store. They are beautiful and unique items in this store. I believe the price I paid was worth the unique value. There are signs posted to not take photos of the items inside the store so I couldn't get any while I was there but trust me the space is beautiful and the items one of a kind. I will definitely return and recommend anyone to come visit and find that unique gift for the special people in your life.

They have a ton of Hello Kitty and friend's items. The store is very organized and items are displayed nicely. I loved all the Hello Kitty and My Melody plushies. Everything is so cute and colorful. I found a nice section of blind boxes. There are so many different ones to pick from. I decided to treat myself and get one. I chose Modusand/Sanrio character blind box. I've not seen this variety before. The one employee, working at that time, was so sweet. We were both reminiscing back to when we were kids and wished we could get anything Hello Kitty themed. Back then, they were hard to find. She helped me at the check out. It was a fast and pleasant experience. I'll definitely be back again soon.

I assumed it was there restocking day and left. Today I was going to order online but the pictures nor descriptions give you a solid idea of what the planners look like inside. Thus the reason for the trip. I didn't want to order it online when I could look at it in person and purchase of the spot. But the store isn't open. The mall opens at 11am and supposedly this store is supposed to be open too. However it is now 12 mins past 11am (it will probably be 20+mins past once I actually post this review) and it doesn't looks like they are opening anytime soon. I rushed in from the peninsula just to get here around opening time. I keep observing people walking up to the sign and making comments that they are closed. Looks like there a quiet a few people disappointed that it's not open. It's almost 11:30 and still no one in sight. Unfortunately, this was a total waste of time and gas to come here since this was the only reason for me coming to the mall today.
