The first step through the door felt like Thanksgiving to me.. the low hum of chatter as families talked amongst each other, clinking of glasses as people said 'cheers!' and the immediate sight and scent of home-cooked food. Their slow-roasting rotisserie chicken filled the air as we were being sat and seeing them turn over and over in the open ovens had me drooling before I could even ask for water. Because we're in a landlocked state, I always order seafood whenever I catch it on the menu.. but choosing the Fettucine Tutto Mare instead of the Rotisserie Chicken entree has now filled me with a severe case of FOMO. I was impressed with how fresh the crabmeat, mussels and clams were in my dish and it reminded me of my late uncle (who would always demand we go to a restaurant with clam linguine). Paired with the Limoncello Spritzer, it truly felt like I was back home with my family. The dessert menu was filled with a lot of my personal favorites, like tiramisu, but I was too full to order any (which, truthfully, isn't a bad problem to have). But I'm thinking we'll start my next visit to Casa with dessert first... then maybe finish off with a rotisserie chicken

On this occasion we picked Salvatori's on Washington Center Road. We've always had an easy time getting a table here as the restaurant is fairly large. The staff is very friendly and helps each other out. Wyatt did a great job on this occasion. The restaurant was clean and orderly. My wife really liked the chef salad. Very fresh with lots of meats and side veggies. A very attractive dish also. The house dressing is light, slightly sweet and has a nice oil based taste. Side house salads are very tasty and fresh as well. Lots of side veggies and cheese packed into this over flowing bowl. The Frutti di Mare is a weekly special only. The linguini was perfectly cooked and plentiful. The red sauce had a nice tomato with Italian seasoning/oil taste. Often this sauce can be very spicy. This dish was not spicy nor did it sacrifice flavor. There were lots of mussels - which don't have much meat. There really wasn't much shrimp or calamari included. The fish was tender and flakey.

I had the backed manicotti with cheese and herbs, and it was excellent. Servings were large, enough for two to share or two meals. My friend enjoyed spaghetti with marina sauce and meatballs. She asked our names and proceeded to address us by them the entire visit. She had a great personality and made for a great experience. I'm a huge Mama Daphne fan as is my husband. We ordered bosco sticks for the app and husband ordered the spicy Italian meat calzone and I opted for the Papa Petro, a flatbread sandwich with pesto mayo and several Italian meats. We were impressed with both but the Papa Petro won out. Very tasty. Mama Daphne has some competition now. This location is the only location that doesn't serve pizza. They defer to the Marco's pizza location two doors down. So if you want pizza at Salvatori's, skip this location. Otherwise, I'd definitely recommend! Will be back!

First let me say, my husband and I both hate the menu changes. I'd hardly call these artisanal when they are all bland choices you can get at any pizza place. I did a build your own because they no longer had my simple pizza choice. Once I received my order, the salad and pizza ingredients just tasted bland. I'd rather buy a frozen pizza and a premade salad from the grocery, pretty much the same effect, and possibly even better tasting. The icing on the cake was the practically shot glass-sized cups we were given for water. We had to go fill them 5-6 times just to eat our meal. I'd gladly have paid a dollar for a regular cup I could put ice in if that's the problem.
