That alone is asinine. Oh, it doesn't end there. I knew I'd be charged for the two weeks, when they wouldn't let me cancel, but after I cancel in person, they then try to charge me the following week. I disputed with my bank and got my money back. Then the following week, they charge me another $37.00 (or try to, I blocked all charges from them.) and try to charge a late fee, since I didn't pay them, because I cancelled my account. I call them, and they say the account is still in review for cancellation, and it was cancelled a week after I cancelled it. NEVER GO TO THIS GYM THEY WILL SCAM YOU WHEN YOU TRY TO LEAVE!!!!! THIEVES! And if the owner had any integrity, he would call me, to resolve my issues. He hasn't, just posts more lies. He has my contact information, yet, still hasn't reached out, just comments on a negative review. I paid him the money i didn't owe him, after MONTHS of dealing with his pathetic "business." In all my years, and the multiple gyms I've been a part of, I've NEVER had such a miserable experience trying to cancel a membership. Save yourself time, money, hassle, and our community, by not giving your hard earned money to this excuse of a company, run by people that care about NOTHING but money, and keeping you as a "member" forever, or at least charging you continually.

However we feel that they could use more exercise equipment and weights. So for the meantime we decided to pass on and continue to search for a gym membership elsewhere.

One has all your standard gym equipment which is great, but their second space is what really impressed me and I believe sets them apart from other gyms. Their second space (called thier functional training space) has high quality rogue gear for all your lifting needs, which even includes concept 2 rowers, ski ergs, bike, and freeform runner. Unfortunately, they made some changes and consolidated some spaces, etc. One of those changes was severely cutting their hours. I believe they close at 8:00 p.m. throughout the week now, and 2:00 p.m. on the weekends! These hours don't fit most people's lives, especially mine as a night shift nurse. I can handle rearranging some equipment and even closing the kids club, but if I can't get there because they close so doggone early it's not worth me paying for it. By the way, even though they cut out several hours per week of available gym time for clients, they did not cut out any of the very expensive monthly dues for members. This business is owned by ProMedica and if I didn't know any better I would think that they didn't care about encouraging people to live a healthy lifestyle, and that they only cared about money. And then I remembered that I am a ProMedica nurse and that is absolutely, 100%, the case! They made these changes to the hours from a financial standpoint, not thinking about their clientele or giving a crap if anyone actually visits the gym (so long as they pay their monthly dues).

The problem is that the manager is the only one that can turn on the tanning beds. There was one week that the manager was sick and I could not use the beds. I have been a restaurant general manager, and I have trained my staff to take care of things when I am not there. Why can't another staff member be trained? And now the manager in charge, as I found out a couple of days ago, no longer works there. So now all tanning beds cannot be used until further notice!
