I don't think I will ever be back here. The rooms are dingy, dirty, and old. I went thru 3 rooms before I just picked the less of the evils. They all smelled like smoke and made me feel nauseous. The jacuzzi is so old it looked dirty. I will post pic so you guys can see...yuck! We asked the front desk for a cup of bleach and cleaned the tub and toilet ourselves. The toilet had a sanitary strap on it saying it has been sanitized yet we found a hair on the toilet when we lifted the lid to clean it ourselves. So gross! Whole in the wall by front door and stains in the carpet...smh...Not worth the price! Complained about tub and told people at front desk and they just told me it's because they are old. I never knew discoloration was black....and finding a hair on an alleged "sanitized" toilet made me glad I grabbed some bleach from the front desk. I only stayed the whole night because my boyfriend planned this for me for my birthday because I really wanted a jacuzzi. He cleaned the whole room for me with the bleach provided to ease my discomfort for the night. He shouldn't have to do that! After all this, you would think they would offer some sort of compensation or even an apology, but no, nothing at all. Not worth $145. Update your rooms to match your prices or lower your prices. The concept is cute and romantic but the dirtiness and lack of customer service ruined my whole experience. I do not recommend. read more

I am a fancy lady, typically. I work very hard so that I can afford a basically luxurious life. But every once in a while, I like to do or experience something that's a little wild, a little risque, a little trashy. Sometimes, it's good to not take yourself too seriously. Having crazy roleplay sex in a cheap, seedy motel has been on My bucket list for as long as I can remember. So naturally when I found Feather Nest Inn, I booked immediately. My bf initially was...concerned...about the venue. "This might just be a cheap themed motel where cheaters go to get high and fuck." he said. I said, "PERFECT! This will suit us just fine then!!!" All jokes aside, you know this is not a 5 star boutique hotel. This is not a place you go to if you're a status quo vacationer. Do not expect Pinkerton guards or exquisite linens. A fan of the Feather Nest Inn! This was actually my second time coming here in 4 years. I always have a good time here with the hubby. It's clean, secluded and the room is spacious. I enjoy the hot tub. This time we got the Manhattan Room. I loved the modern look of it online but the way the bed was shaped, wasn't exactly the best. I'd go with another room next time. This was the dirtiest place, I ever been too the picture's just look good on the Internet, I went in the non-smoking room 103 , and all I smelled was smoke, then after that I looked at the bathroom and all I smelled was poop, at that moment I knew I had to leave , as I'm looking at all that , my wife was running the jacuzzi and the water was turning brown, and the bed had spots on it, I turned on the tv and the remote was dirty, and on the tv the last thing the person was watching was porn, I grabbed my wife and got up out of there as fast as I can , a can of Lysol couldn't fix all that I went to the counter ask for my money back, they laughed and said sure, so I waited 3-5 business days for my my money back and the manager said I'm not giving your money back ,so Im telling everybody do not come here, I been to plenty of motels and hotels and this the only one I been too , that had bed bugs, filth , and disease straight up on display !!! Just recently stayed here with my boyfriend since it looked like a fun place to stay and was close to the aquarium we wanted to go to in Camden. We stayed in the treehouse suite and I was not disappointed! The rooms are a tad outdated but nonetheless very fun. There were mirrors everywhere and the jacuzzi was huge and clean and the water was so hot it stayed hot ALL night. There are also a lot of switches around to control how much lighting you want and there was some soft jungle music. Overall had a great time and we definitely plan on staying again read more

My girlfriend and I just left the "natural cave" room. We came here for our 8 year anniversary. We traveled 3 hours to come here and we had a ton of fun. The room was beautiful, it was clean and the owner and staff were very friendly. They actually took extra time out to show us another one of the themed rooms we were curious about. Nice little hole in the wall with themed rooms... Had a tour with one of their wonderful employees... Although she was new she was super friendly and accommodating... She answered every question we had thoroughly... We didn't see all of the rooms but I would have to say the Blue Lagoon (jungle) and Tahitian Hut were my favorites... It was clean but keep in mind it does give off that motel feeling... This is a place for a couples night... It is not for an anniversary, birthday or any other special event... This is just something to do when there is nothing to do... And if you have a high maintenance significant other they may not be happy with this place... The area does seem to be in the middle of nowhere... So make sure you do have access to a vehicle so you can travel out for entertainment... Again I am a stickler for customer service and I'm basing my review solely on customer service... I do like an employee who knows their job like this woman did! It's was romantic and fun quick get away with me and babe . The check in was easy . The only thing I didn't like was check out was at 11:00 am . But they didn't rush us or knock on the door. Their was music playing when we walked in .There was a rose on the bed , bubbles for the jacuzzi . A huge bed for some fun lol . I love the theme. We choose the king theme . There was a couple of snacks a bottle of wine and some water bottles in the mini bar . This is a place I will return maybe to try the Cave theme next time . read more

Could've been a little more cleaner.. I guess the beds were made specifically for people to have sex in and no actual sleep.. Because you basically couldn't get in The blanket.. Needless to say I had the manhattan room .. I agree with another person, that the small fridge wasn't even cold .. The heart shaped hot tub had some smudges .. So we cleaned it before getting in.. The bathroom was cleaned, which is a plus .. It was a lot of adult entertainment channels .. If you like that kind of stuff you're covered there lol.. The red carpets needs a deep clean! The fire place was a nice touch .. Never again. We went to have a special night on our anniversary, and definitely had a night we will not forget- but for all of the wrong reasons. Over priced ($260!), dirty, dated decor, and it smelled of smoke. We called the front desk to ask to move to a nonsmoking room and learned that they don't have nonsmoking rooms. The front desk said they could send maintenance or we could have a refund (but we'd have to decide within 10 min). Maintenance arrived with a mostly empty can of airwick. It did little to help. I was expecting a commercial smoke air freshener. The cheesy leopard carpet was discolored with stains. The fake plants were dusty, the fabric headboard was dirty and dusty, and the room had an old, dingy feel. The sound on the tv echoed. We stayed for a while but decided to leave by 11 pm. I didn't feel that the room was clean enough to sleep in. I wish we had gotten the refund and left as soon as we got there. staff, location, parking, and room were all wonderful. breakfast that was included wasn't too bad; had the basics such as hot chocolate, tea, coffee, cereals, and donuts. stayed in the Pagoda, which was a beautiful room. everything was clean and worked properly. only issue was heating was a little wonky, and the bed could have been more comfortable. other than that, it was a pleasant stay =) definitely will visit again soon. read more

This place is literally the worst i have stayed at. For the amount of money we paid to stay here, we got nothing for it. My husband Eugene Mulligan and i were on our honeymoon and this looked like a romantic place online so we went. First impressions of the buildings as a whole were unsettling. The windows were grimy and the place looked like a dive. Since we had pre booked and could no longer back out without losing money we decided to give it a chance. We had booked one of the garden rooms. Upon opening the door our fears of it being a hole were confirmed. The smell of stale cigarette smoke hit us as we took in the outdated wallpaper,carpet( where the smell was coming from) and other room furnishings. The only upside was that the hot tub was huge. My husband complained to the front desk but all he got from the guy there was defensive crap. We left as soon as we could and will never be back. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!! read more

My future husband and I stayed In the Manhattan suit. The room was fantastic. It was larger than the pictures online, very clean and smelled amazing . The champagne and snacks were a nice touch. We had leave early due to illness in the family but had no problem being credited back for the time we could not stay. I would have given my experience 5 stars if they'd only had a microwave! Such a downfall. Wonderful staff and the hotel itself has a great location. Everything was less than 10 minutes away! I haven't been there myself, but I'm a Lyft driver and I had a request from a couple who were being picked up from this location. After they got their bags in my car, someone that works there asked them to take them back out so that they could be searched. Now, at best, this comes off as super sleazy; this is after all, a themed hotel where people go to have sex, so checking someone's bag full of lingerie or sex-toys or whatever is pretty gross. However, the couple in question was also black, which made it feel super racist, though I will acknowledge that it's at least possible that this is normal procedure for the place (though the only person I know that has been there said this never happened to them). After several minutes of arguing, they finally decided to just leave without letting them search their bags. I spoke with some friends who suggested this behavior is illegal. read more

I visited this hotel last month and found a used bottle of sex lube along with other trash on my hotel floor. When I called the front desk to complain they offered to move me to another room. They ended up downgrading me from a deluxe themed suite with a hot tub that I payed $269 for to a basic room that didn't have a hot tub and wasn't nearly as nice. The staff told me I would be prorated for the downgrade in rooms. Not only was i not reimbursed the room difference but the manager was rude. He had the audacity to blame me and my girlfriends for the trash and sex lube that we found in the room! I will never be back. read more

My girlfriend and I were looking for something fun, adventurous and romantic to do together when we stumbled across the feather nest inn. We where drawn to the quirky fantasy suites and we loved them! The shag carpeting made me nervous, but aside from a mild cigarette smell, the place was impressively clean for a sex motel. The staff was very accommodating, allowing us to stay in two different suits over the course of our stay. They also offer tours of the rooms before hand, a sign of duly owed confidence. Really liked this couple's hotel. My husband and I stayed for a quick couple's night out to try it out. We didn't know there was a "tour" per se until we saw the sign as we were leaving, but we've found tours usually don't give you the real on what it's like to stay there. There are other hotels/motels in the immediate area, one of them has a restaurant attached to the building that seems like it would be easy enough to walk to. As for shopping, Cherry Hill mall isn't very far at all and they have a ton of dining options. I'd be willing to bet that there are several taxi services that would be willing to transport anyone without a car in a timely manner. We opted to stay in, and there were at least a dozen order in options for us to choose from. We simply asked the front desk staff and they provided us with menus and advice on which would fit our preferences the best. I would be completely happy for my husband to bring me here for my birthday, anniversary or other special occasion. I thought it was worth what we spent. We stayed on a Thursday, but we did see a sign that said Friday and Saturday they offer complimentary champagne. Many champagnes don't agree with me so I wasn't disappointed about that. We stayed in the Treehouse room, which is a smoking room(hard to find in many hotels) and although you can tell the room wasn't done this year, it was clean, clearly cared for, and a lot of fun. The decor was clearly well thought out, the room set up was comfortable, and the bathroom was well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, we both slept very well, nearly overslept, but they never knocked or called even once to let us know check out time was coming up, which I appreciated greatly. I hate feeling like I'm getting kicked out of a hotel. Check out is 11AM, which I find at least on par with most hotels we've stayed at having a check out of 10am or 11am. I never asked about an extended check out option. Check in was very easy with our reservation, but the woman next to us had no reservation and her check in seemed just as easy. There is a free breakfast offered, and although I didn't have anything, I thought the options were good, if I had been hungry. Free Wifi and all of the HBO channels were included, as well as some adult channels. We didn't test the Wifi, but the HBOs work just great :-). The biggest drawback of this hotel for me is the outside hallway, simply because it's cold out, and that's why I gave only 4 stars, although I wish I could give 4 1/2. I liked that there were a lot of vending machine options, although I didn't take advantage of it this time, I usually do and it's nice to know they have a good selection. They also offer a microwave for each floor which I thought was a nice touch for people staying longer than one night, which we will most likely do next time we stay here. There is a bit of a motel feeling, especially outside, so if you or your significant other tend to look down upon establishments like that, skip this and save us all the headache of listening to you complain. Once I looked at their site I felt like I knew what to expect and they did not disappoint. If you're looking for a brand new couple's hotel that was done this year, this is not it. If you're looking for a fun couple's hotel where you and your spouse can have fun in themed rooms, you've hit the jackpot. read more

I was really looking forward to staying here for my 1 year anniversary but it ended up being the single worst hotel experience I've ever had. I probably wouldn't have written a review (as I never write reviews for anything) but when I called the manager, he continued to argue with me as if I was the one in the wrong. I will say, in the end, he gave me $50 back (off of my $400 bill) after asking me "what do you want me to do about it?". I am mostly writing to save you from a disastrous experience and hopefully you'll spend your $400 a little more wisely than me. First thing - It's non-smoking. Never mind that though, because your room will probably smell like an ash tray. The rooms are in need of some terrible updating as there are pictures falling of the wall, things missing, wallpaper peeling, and carpet worn out and folding. The pictures on the website of the rooms are so deceptive as they are likely from 30 years ago when the hotel first opened. It's a hotel that you should probably spend $50 a night for, but end up spending $150/night. It's really unfortunate that this hotel hasn't been maintained because it really is a cool idea. Second thing - My husband and I stayed 2 nights. They apparently have some weird policy (since it's a couples only hotel) that they call you the day of to ask if you would like your room cleaned. If you don't pick up, they're supposed to clean your room (and the assumption is that you are gone). If you do pick up, I suppose you can let them know your preference. Well, I never got a call (that I know of) and I never got my room cleaned or fresh towels placed out. The manager argued with me and said that if you don't pick up, they don't come in because they've had customers get mad in the past about this. If I'm not there to pick up, how am I supposed to tell you to come clean my room? I was not told about this "policy" when I checked in and automatically assumed they would clean my room (I've never stayed a single place where that's something you have to specifically mention when you check in). Third thing: When I got back to my hotel at 11pm the second night, our card didn't work. Super annoying because we had to wake up at 3:30 to catch our flight out. So we walked all the way to the opposite end of the facility to get the card loaded again and walked back across to get to our room only to find out that it didn't work AGAIN. So we walked back to the office and back again and it FINALLY worked... then when we walk into the room, we were surprised by our bed not being made/sheets not changed, the towels not replaced, nothing reset. I was too tired to deal with anything and just skipped my shower for the night because I didn't have towels or time/energy to wait for new ones. So pretty much, it's kind of a cool place if you can ignore all the sketchy things about it and don't mind spending a lot of money for a really worn out place. I really wish I would've paid attention to the poor reviews. I just assumed with so many good reviews, the poor reviews were just picky people. Idk. Maybe I'm a "picky" person. I visited the Feather Nest Inn with my husband and was pleasantly surprised with the room. We stayed in the Jungle themed room, which I would highly recommend. The mirrors everywhere made the room look large, the fireplace created a substantial amount of heat and the Jacuzzi never ran out of hot water. The room was decently clean, no big complaints. I would recommend the Feather Nest Inn to couples looking to get away for a night. I hope to go back and see a different theme in the future. read more

This place is incredible!!! The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and well kept. We booked the Blue Lagoon room on a road trip to Philly from NY ( It's just about an hour and a half outside NYC and 20 mins to Philly!!!) Great location with lots of shops and restaurants close by. Wasn't expecting much from a theme motel but to our surprise our room was much nicer and way bigger than we expected. The interior was is so cute, the fireplace was on when we arrived and the switch next to the light played relaxing Hawaiian music with soothing ocean sounds in the background, we had a huge jacuzzi in the middle of the room. This place also had the most comfortable bed and pillows!!! I've never slept better! Blue Lagoon was so comfy and fun that we decided to get the "Space Odyssey" space ship themed room the next night... which was just incredible. I've never had more fun in a motel/ on a stay-cation in my life. Will be back to stay at the themed rooms for sure!!! read more

Let me start by saying the staff was extremely friendly, welcoming & accommodating! We originally booked inn of the dove & after reading many reviews found feather ness inn which had much better reviews even so still a tad skeptical after seeing a few bad ones, that being said - i can't even understand why there was a bad review, we stayed in the tree house suite for two nights, upon arrival the room was clean & had no foul odor despite being a smoking room. We couldn't figure out how to get the fridge on, but within minutes of calling the desk, the very polite maintenance man came up & turned it right on for us. The sheets were clean & white & the towels were also clean & white & had no odor (I have a real problem with dirt, I brought my own cleaning supplies for jacuzzi & shower based on other reviews but didn't even need to use them). The room was exactly what I'd expected it to be. Nothing short of awesomely & creatively decorated, very intimate & cozy. The water pressure was awesome & we never lost hot temperature. After our first night as we were leaving we ran into housekeeping & she very kindly asked if we wanted service & gave service immediately as we were leaving & also let us look at the blue lagoon room which also looked awesome! I gave 4 stars because our minibar wasn't stocked as description gave & our key stopped working 3 times, But none the less awesome motel, we will be returning! read more
