The rooms were a very sad decor, but you can see from the photos. What I didn't expect for $400.00 a night, for each room, was that they don't turn on the heat until a first frost? When I called down freezing at 11:00pm, I was told that they would bring me a cotton blanket and a "space heater!" I didn't know how cold I was going to get and didn't feel comfortable with a space heater, I got the blanket. At one am I got up & put on more clothes, took every towel and made a sleeping bag to roll up in. ( I didn't know my daughter had done the same thing in her room.) In the morning I told the front desk person that we had frozen all nigh...the desk guy shrugged and said, "well they just don't turn the heat on until they have to, that's why they have space heaters!" I said please have some one from management call me to refund my rooms, never heard a word, called left messages, even wrote in the email review they sent saying get in touch before I go to Yelp and warn people about the space heaters! The Wayne Hotel is the most expensive camping on the Main Line. Should you be forced to stay there, bring your own sleeping bag, warm socks, a sleep hat and a space heater! Cause they don't care.

The engaging decor includes a wide variety of kitschy objects from many places worldwide. During our several-day stay, I didn't get tired of looking around and finding new curiosities. Outside, the B&B is tucked onto a forested and winding hillside, surrounding you with green leaves and views of the sky. It's easy to forget that you're less than 30 minutes away from downtown Philadelphia. And there's plenty of parking in the B&B's lot. Our room was a good size, but it was better for sleeping in and going out. It might have been a bit small if we planned on spending significant time just hanging out in the room as there wasn't much space around the very comfortable bed and the one chair, which was a plush and comfortable reading chair. The room also had an armoire, TV, and a short hall off of which the bathroom was located. (The rooms do vary in size, so again, that's just my view of the room we were in.) The breakfasts here are excellent and include what may be the best scones I've ever had. (I'm delayed in writing my review by several months, but the memory of those scones is still vivid. YUM!!!) Breakfast is served mainly in a kitsch-filled dining room, that's bright from high ceilings and sliding doors at one end of the room. The dining room table - a heavy wood table, suiting the atmosphere - 'only' seats 8 though, so if the table's full you may have to wait or choose to eat in one of the nearby rooms on a tray; when the weather's nice, there's more seating outside.

It pains me greatly to downgrade the Inn from its previously lofty perch as the near-perfect…read moreno-fuss hotel to merely adequate, and at the price, not such a great deal anymore. What confused me during our stay was we had two rooms, one an accessible room on the third floor, and the other a queen double on the second. I have stayed in both these areas before. The accessible room seemed unchanged. The second floor was very odd. First off, the fantastic soundproofing seems to have vanished -- at least, inside the hotel. The outside is still inaudible, as it was built to shield guests from the sounds of trains. But inside? I could hear our neighbors talk, I could hear their alarms, I could hear the elevator ding and the machinery (it was four doors down, so not that close). There were odd sounds from machinery in the walls and the HVAC systems I don't remember. Then we had a weekend with basically no hot water and no water pressure. Oh, the water trickled out, but it did so at a very tepid temperature and with less pressure than even any water-restricted California shower I've ever seen. I've never ever had such a problem here before. Then a local friend said they'd had renovations and added capacity. Did they -- gut the rooms and subdivide? That would account for the fact the room seemed smaller than I remembered; it would account for having lost the internal soundproofing but not the external, if they did a terrible job at the renovation; and perhaps they didn't bother to upgrade the floor hot water heater (our family member in the accessible room on the third floor did not seem to have this problem), or the plumbing capacity, and what we were getting was water at low pressure after everybody else on the floor had used it. (Although I had the same problem the middle of the day Saturday as I did Saturday and Sunday morning). I won't hold the pathetic EV charger situation against the Inn per se, since it apparently is a college problem: the chargers are limited to four hours! At a slow level 2 J-1772, this meant we got about 15% charge a day. This is ludicrous. I am willing to pay for the charge (the four hours a day is free) if I can, you know, actually charge the car. Limiting it to four hours on the basis of demand is pointless; all the spots were filled on Friday, and none of them charging, because it turns out they were all occupied by staff members of the college who went home at the end of the day and occupied the spot for eight hours, charging only four. The college's commitment to EVs seems -- I can't use a word that expresses this properly. Inconsistent with its avowed Zero by 2035 goals. (All the chargers on campus are the same, and there aren't that many of them, plus you can't use them if you're a visitor, anyway.) The location is perfect if you are visiting the college, but there's a lot going wrong here right now and I'm very, very disappointed. The staff are still extremely nice (especially housekeeping) so I can't downgrade it all the way, but this is worse than the Hampton Inn in Media now, for half again as much each night. There's only so much I'm willing to pay for location.

The mini fridge is somewhat cold, your frozen goods will defrost, but they have ice available, so you can keep stuff cold in your cooler. The room is also equipped with tiny microwave and iron with ironing board... The dining room style lamp hanging on one side of the bed, will give you headache after you bump it with your head every time you climb in bed or reach to the "nightstand", some USBports are broken, not enough of charging options. TV guide is the old-fashioned loop ... Air-condition makes strange noises,but after listening to it for 24 hours, you will get used to it and won't be surprised anymore. The water pressure of the faucet is inadequate, shower works OK, water is scolding hot. I would prefer to stay somewhere else next time. Environmental service employees are very nice and helpful, I thought that it is important to mention this! Otherwise I agree with other reviews that mention things guests didn't enjoy or why this is not awesome place to stay.

My family of 4 stayed at the Inn at Villanova University on the way home from a road trip…read more We were greeted by a very enthusiastic and welcoming concierge who filled us in on everything we needed about the hotel before checking us in. We were told that there was a gym and a game room on the second floor as well as some outdoor activities, but we didn't get a chance to check them out because we were only there for one night. Our room was on the first floor, so it was easy to transport our luggage from our car to our room. Our bedroom had 2 queen beds, a large desk/counter space, and a bathroom with a tub/shower. We all enjoyed the Villanova-themed decorations in the room. There were several charging ports throughout the room, which was helpful because all 4 of us needed to charge our phones overnight. The bathroom was clean and tidy, and stocked with all the essentials. We ran out of toothpaste, but luckily the concierge provided us with some travel-sized toothpaste free of charge. The water pressure in the shower was nice, but the shampoo and conditioner made everyone's hair feel greasy. We had no problems with our beds, but there were a couple issues with the rest of the bedroom. For some reason, there was a wet patch of carpet near the desk that was there before we even moved in. Also, there are no overhead light fixtures, so we could only get light from the backlit headboards on the bed or the bedside lamps (I did like that you could dim the lights on the lamp, though). Finally, the TV kept losing signal and we could only reach 3 channels. Overall, the Inn at Villanova provided a good 1-night experience for my family, but I think I would choose to stay somewhere else if I was planning on being in that area longer.

The following team members went over and above to ensure a good time: Bruce Mullen, Dean, Brie, Amir, Justin, Mel and BJ. Attention to detail and smiles overflowed by these individuals. On May 8, 2026, my husband and I had lodgings for an overnight stay after attending a family wedding. Our accommodation was clean, noise level was quiet, and hotel was clean and modern. The restaurant housed the after-wedding party which consisted of french fries, chicken tenders, various egg rolls, and dessert; all of which was very good. I would recommend staying here based on the above, but the outstanding customer service support raised it to another level. Here's my story. We live in New Jersey, roughly 2 1/2 hours away. At approximately 2:30 in the afternoon my husband received a call from the hotel telling him I had left my pocketbook in the safe. Anyone who has done this before knows the sinking feeling of leaving behind a wallet filled with credit cards, driver's license, medical insurance cards, and cash. Since it was a Saturday, hotel management agreed to send it overnight via FedEx on Monday; I was asked to call to confirm delivery. On Monday I spoke with Jean (at the front desk) and explained the reason for my call. I informed her that I hadn't verified the contents of my pocketbook and asked if she could do this before shipment. Once Jean located the package whereabouts, she had to ensure the front desk had coverage. She retrieved the package which had been prepared for mailing, unsealed it and confirmed its contents. Jean then informed me it would be driven to the FedEx office for shipment. Thank you Jean for staying positive and patient with me. Later that day, I missed a call from the manager, Johnny. His voice mail said that our credit card was declined (human error) and asked that I provide another. His message also gave detailed shipment options and costs. Johnny returned to the hotel. I called back shortly after with another credit card. The package was driven back again, and the credit card transaction was approved. In speaking with Johnny, I asked who found my pocketbook as I wanted to thank the individual. He informed me that it is hotel protocol to have a manager check the vacated rooms to see if guests have left any personal belongings behind. The manager's name is Doreen; however, we never had the pleasure of a conversation. Thank you Johnny for your persistence in getting my pocketbook to me. Thank you Doreen for your honesty and ensuring my pocketbook was turned in to hotel management. To conclude, I applaud the honesty, willingness to assist, and patience of Doreen, Jean, and Johnny. I hope the home office, which I will contact, will take note of their commitment to providing the Radnor Hotel's guests with outstanding service and to a very happy ending to what could have been a sad story.
