I got sideswiped and was sent here by Geico. I was a bit anxious at first bc of horror stories I heard of Geico trying to take short cuts when it comes to working with their own body shops. But I had the best experience here, not only did my car look brand new but the customer service was impeccable. Kyle helped me throughout the whole process and was always courteous and professional explaining everything. Only thing was that when they replaced the door that got sideswiped, a nail was loose and when I got home to open it, it made a loud clicking noise. I went back without calling bc I was in the area and they fixed it in 10min. They also wash and clean your car better than most car wash places. My car was so so clean on the inside. This place gets five stars even though the one employee didn't even know who Prince was yesterday. In all seriousness this collision shop is very honest and works very efficiently. I must have called them every day because my rental sucked and I wanted nothing more than to get my car back. Alex one of the office guys never rushed me off the phone and made sure to answer all my annoying questions; he even offered to call enterprise to get me a different rental. In the 5 o'clock chaos when I picked up my car John answered ALL my questions even though he was in the middle of a million things. I am not really a "car person" and I felt completely comfortable having my car taken care of at this auto shop. They explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions. I had an issue with my car shortly after I got it back and they fixed it completely! They kept me in the loop. Their customer service is above-par. John is literally one of the nicest human beings I've ever met. I was at work stuck in back to back meetings and I had my mother call the shop and get on a call with John and she said the same thing!! We had brought our car here once before after we had been hit in a minor fender bender and did not have an issue. However, my elderly grandparents brought their car here to be repaired when the door was smashed in, and they repeatedly provided incorrect information about when the car would be done. My grandparents brought the car in on Monday, February 12th, and were told it would take 8 days to be repaired. The new door arrived on a Thursday, and they informed us it would be ready the following Monday. When we called on Monday, they said it was to be picked up on Wednesday. They had told us they would give us a call, which they never did. My grandparents made arrangements to pick up the car, but they said it would still not be ready. After calling multiple times, they told us it was to be ready on Monday, February 26 by 4PM. We arrived after 4PM and it still was not ready, but we were able to leave with it after five. It should not take two weeks for a basic repair! They need to call when they say they will! read more

My experiences with Federal have been the exact opposite of the other guy. They know exactly who I am, and exactly which car is mine. I've been going there for years and Joe is always willing to give quotes or whatever. They absolutely take credit cards, ALL OF THEM. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because their work is limited to repairs. They will not do custom body work, which is a HUGE negative to me. Its a shame too, because if they did, they'd have a whole lot more business. read more

As far as fixing my car goes, I'll admit these guys know what they're doing, and they'll probably do a satisfactory job repairing any vehicle... but my experience with them could've been better. Don't expect much for customer service. Flushing is a busy place, and there are probably hundreds of jobs coming in each day... but still; that's no excuse for not taking care of the people who are paying you a lot of money to get their car fixed. You are just a name and a number to them. I must have talked to the same guy 5 times, and each time it would be like... "who are you?... and which one's your car again?". Also, they will give you an estimate for about how long it would take for the repair. Expect that it will take double the amount of time. Also, no credit cards and personal checks accepted. Cash, money orders, or bank checks only... another thing they forgot to mention before I arrived to pick up my car. read more

I guess the owner of the auto shop want to show he's auto shop is comprised of many cultures and races. However, I did not interact with anyone else other than he's son and furthermore there is only one race working in your office while everyone is not and there is only one flag that is indicated outside your store. We understand that you may not want to spend much money on your vehicle but when you ask us to fix the damage from an accident - plus additional work - for less than the price quoted by your insurance company, (It wasn't an insurance quote, it was out of pocket) , that is simply not possible. Furthermore, coming in several times ( I came back to the office twice, once for the first quote and the second time after I got quotes and trying to get a deal) after we gave you our best price in the hopes that badgering us will lower that price is not a reasonable way to conduct yourself (Can you please elaborate as to how I conducted myself) .Most importantly, we cannot abide your allegations of racism. Your three visits to our shop that day (it was two visits) should have made it clear that, even though we're a small business, we are a significantly diverse ( What does significantly diverse workforce mean? How many of your diverse workforce work inside your office (none)) they and close-knit crew here at Federal and none of the people who work here would tolerate your hurtful and false accusation . I took my vehicle here for repair a few weeks ago and the service was excellent. The turnaround time was incredibly fast considering the amount and severity of the damage done to my car (i don't care for rentals, so having it back quick was great). The staff was not only helpful but very patient with the other more frantic customers (most places really don't care this much). Plus, the location of their office is really convenient (right on Northern Blvd). Basically, this is a quality shop. My SUV looked better than it looked when i first got it...and it smelled really good, too. read more

took my vehicle for repair , when i picked up my car i discovered the cell phone i left in the compartment of car was gone! the owner and manager said they would look into it after several days of not gettting a call back, i call the shop , speak to the owner john and he tells me he can't reimburse me for the cost of the phone that someone from his shop stole. disappointing that the federal auto body did not step up and accept responsibility and do the right thing , considering i had given them business before and knew them on a first name basis. my 200.00 phone stolen and i given this business over thousands of dollars in repair costs. you just don't tell your customers how do i pay for everything a customer claims to be stolen like the owner of federal autobody did. well owner of federal auto body if you have frequent complaints that things are missing from cars from customers than thats a problem buddy... i did get an apology but i cant deposit apologies in the bank do not ever bring your car here to repair. read more

I had my Jeep done here 2 times so far once was for a scratch. the second time both my doors were hit and scraped when someone backed up into me. And i have to say the job they did was great . I was a little nervous because my car is a lease and i wasn't sure if the paint would match up. But my jeep came out perfect i mean like the day i left the dealer show room perfect. I couldn't be happier with the job and with the staff the guys are really cool. they would send me text messages letting me know about the status of the vehicle. Joe is a really nice guy and he offers competitive pricing. The shop is right off northern blvd which is much easier to get to without a car (when it is in the shop) than the iron triangle near CitiField. There was no space in his lot one time i went there. It will cause great inconvenience for me if i have to drive there a second time. He drove my car to his home for storage so that i don't have to do that. read more

I went to these guys for a front fender, front bumper, and rim fix through geico "express", told me 2 to 4 days and got my car back after 9, plus 2 more days for stuff they didn't finish. They gave me my car back "finished", it was missing a panel on the rear bumper, had an error message on the info screen for the keyless entry, and a low tire pressure message... I looked in my trunk and guess what? They threw out a couple of empty boxes I had back there for my grocery runs without asking me, and to top it off, the longboard I had in my trunk had been USED by their staff (boot marks on the board and dirt all over the tires). How unprofessional is that... not to mention trying to talk to the guy at the front was impossible one Saturday morning as he was playing video games on the company computer while I was trying to talk to him about him my issues. This place is wonderful and they are so honest. When someone hit my car years ago I went there for them to repair the front bumper. They were very helpful and did an amazing job. So just recently when our other car was rear ended I brought it there. John popped the damaged plastic right out and also checked the car for me. He was so honest and did not charge me.
