I always ordered take out but today o decided to dine it. My all time favourite chilli chicken dry and Manchurian fried rice. Friendly staff, lots of parking at the back.

We have been going here for like 30 years. Quality has definitely gone down a bit which is disappointing because this place used to slap. Not really the best for takeout, you gotta have it fresh in restaurant. Did takeout this time however and got veg Hakka noodles, fried rice and pakora style Manchurian with gravy. Sadly it was mid. Service is always top notch and restaurant is nice and clean inside.

We gave been here a few times and we usually buy this combination which is very yummy and you will have leftovers for sure: - Chili chicken - Manchurian fried rice mixed (shrimp and chicken) - Green beans They are all spicy, medium to very hot. Staff is super efficient, cuour food will be at your table shortly after you order. Clean restaurant and clean washrooms as well. Prices are affordable too. Very delicious food with goid prices, recommended.

Ordered about 7 dishes and only 1 had flavour. When I told the waitress the garlic shrimp and garlic chicken had no flavour and didn't taste like garlic, she said "That's just the name of it". *face palm. The only dishes that had flavour was the chicken pakora and the crispy ginger chicken. I would not recommend this restaurant for any main dishes. Only the chicken pakora is good.

Chilli chicken halfway finished. Totally forgot to snap a picture before eating lol

An old reliable Scarborough staple for standard Hakka fare. My recent chilli chicken order was just like I remembered it 5-10 years ago. Hot and spicy with generous portions. The negative reviews do not align with reality, at least as a takeout place. The lunch takeout specials are great value especially when ordering for a group and paying in cash. About $30 total for four people and still had left overs.

Great Value | Quick Service | Tasty Food If you're a Scarborough native or have good enough friends to educate you then you know about Fredricks. They're a right of passage for any Torontonian. I love that this location is essentially untouched and looks the same as it did when they first opened. With a few upgrades to the seating the space is still located in a small strip mall with little parking. I've been for dine in and take out. Both are surprisingly quick especially considering the amount of orders they get. Their food is also very consistent - I've never had a dish that tasted out of the norm. My favourite dishes to order at the chili chicken (dry) , Manchurian mixed fried rice and the chicken pakora. The food is hot, of plenty and never lacking in flavour. They're prices are extremely reasonable as well.

Kung pao chicken... I DON'T recommend, not tasty very sloppy, overflown of unnecessary veggies. It taste as undesirable as it looks

The best hakka food in the GTA. I used to live in the neighbourhood but now I can only visit once a month when I feel like to visit again.

She hasn't aged a day and she remembered some of my dietary concerns so that was amazing. She also offered options to the dishes which is great for a small takeout place. Ordered chow mien, general Tso chicken and a mixed tofu dish. This place is more than home cooking, it is restaurant quality dishes without a big price tag. The service is fantastic because she is nice and the food comes out quickly. Glad she has wanted to return and has the passion to share with the local community. It is worth a stop in for lunch or takeout to feed a hungry family.

The tofu is decently tender, small pieces of minced pork and a savory spicy sauce on a whole container of rice. 4.5/5. Eggplant with minced pork in spicy sauce on rice. The flavor on this is on point with a nice sweet and hint of spicy sauces. Eggplant is cooked well as is the meat. Sits on a giant bed of rice. 4/5 Rice noodles with sliced pork. The rice noodles are cooked well and the sliced pork is incredibly tender. There's bean sprouts and onions and green onions though I feel the onions may have been a tad undercooked. Still for the amount of food and flavor, it's great. 5/5. Price: Each dish came in around 6-7$ which is crazy cheap considering the amount of food you get. Don't expect any super high quality ingredients but this is your cheap and quick takeout that will fill you up.

But I really liked the atmosphere. Although it's small, it's bright and there's plenty of sun coming through. We ordered a few dishes and all were tasty. I enjoyed all of them. The fried dumplings were delicious but you have to be careful when you eat them. They are so juicy that it sprays out when you bite into them. My friend warned me about this, but it still happened anyway. The best dish had to be the chili oil noodles. I really liked the texture, width and flavours involved. There was just enough of a spicy kick without it overpowering the noodles and other flavours. I will definitely come back to have this again. Overall, I don't have anything to negative say about this restaurant. Delicious food, nice atmosphere and friendly and fast service. Prices are also reasonable too.

Parking can be chaotic as well as there's not enough space for all the restaurants/stores - again, come early or park further and walk. Food: Soup - seafood soup was delicious, came out piping hot. Deep fried oyster - huge oysters! Very fresh and delicious. Batter is light and crispy, oyster had good flavor and giant pieces. Steamed fish - fresh from the tank and you can taste it! Garnished perfectly. Lobster - also very fresh and lots of meat. Chicken - felt like we got a massive chicken as the plate was huge. Nice and tender with good flavor on the skin. Pea sprouts and mushrooms - very fresh, no "old" or "hard" pieces. The 3 types of mushroom was also really nice contrast to the pea sprouts. Everything cooked well. Pork chop - has a sweet glaze and is deep fried nicely. Shrimp and scallops with celery and beans - the seafood and scallops were cooked well, as were the celery and beans. Crispy vegetables with tender shrimp and scallop. Price: Reasonable (maybe even in the low end) for all the food and quality you get.

A steal even compared to most BBQ places, and it tastes great. Not dry at all. The other dimsum items, even the staples like har gao (shrimp dumplings) and BBQ pork buns were good. I do wish they had more variety but most dimsum places are the same anyway. Not sure if it was because we were seated in their basement, but service was very good, unlike other spots. There was one dedicated staff member who came by often and was very helpful and funny. She was so approachable and our table even had a few short casual conversations. This is definitely one of my top 5 at the moment, and my family's current go-to.
