Visited here for dim sum to try their early bird special all week 9am-11am all large, medium and small dim sum items for $5.20. Tea fee is $2.50 per person. Steamed shrimp dumpling was decent and shrimp was fresh. Snow pea shoots & shrimp rice rolls was expected yummy. Rice rolls were smooth and transparent. Batter mixture was nicely made. Signature bbq bun was is the average flavour as well as the glutinous sticky rice wrapped with lotus leaf. Radish cake was a bit small and the pastry puff was a bit dense imo. They have 3 private rooms for parties and gathering. Modern, contemporary and bright interior design. Food was okay. Overall an average dim sum place. read more

Compared to the same in Richmond Hill and Markham, Scarborough dimsum spots are always cheaper and tastier. But I do think Dragon View is one of the better spots in Scarborough. While parking isn't the greatest (most parking is at the back, shared with a supermarket), there isn't usually a wait here which I appreciate. Their BBQ pork with noodles is only $12! A steal even compared to most BBQ places, and it tastes great. Not dry at all. The other dimsum items, even the staples like har gao (shrimp dumplings) and BBQ pork buns were good. I do wish they had more variety but most dimsum places are the same anyway. Not sure if it was because we were seated in their basement, but service was very good, unlike other spots. There was one dedicated staff member who came by often and was very helpful and funny. She was so approachable and our table even had a few short casual conversations. This is definitely one of my top 5 at the moment, and my family's current go-to. read more

Very good dim sum spot. The quality is pretty good and the service is good. Atmosphere is nice. They have a BBQ pork with noodles dish that is large and well priced. That's a must have! Also went here for dinner for some king crab. Very pricey, but some of the best king crab I have had. In Scarborough, one of the better Chinese restaurants around and worth trying. read more

Located Brimley/Sheppard where Asian Legend used to be. Came here for dinner and tried a few dishes. The roasted suckling pig was great. The ribs/meat was flavorful even without dipping sauce. Skin was crispy overall. Dare I say this is better than Skyview's! Just wish it was hotter. Ribs were with thai sauce. Supposed to have chinese olives but didn't really taste much tbh. Maggi lobster was just ok. Not super flavorful but fresh. Parking is a smaller lot so you might just have to park towards the supermarket! Overall worth a try! Try booking a table. This is a pretty run of the mill dim sum restaurant. They serve all of the usual items and they definitely taste to a more neutral palette as I found that many of their items could have used a bit more salt/seasoning. The staff were pretty nice and were very helpful in getting a high chair for us. The dining area was surprisingly not busy for weekend dim sum hours, which was a bit surpirsing. The restaurant was only open a few months when I visited so all of the furniture was pretty new and clean. read more

We came here for Dim-Sum on a Sunday morning. Busy as expected by 9:30am but we got a table right away. This restaurant is relatively new and the space is clean and bright. Wonderful new chinese restaurant that took over the old Asian Legend property and previous to that I believe it was Swiss Chalet. They currently have early dim sum special, place your order between 9 and 11am, which works even on weekends and holidays for small, medium, large sized dim sum dishes for $5.20. Tea charge is $2.50 per adult. Only downside to this restaurant is if you have a large group, they don't have many large tables so there could be a wait, for table sizes of 4 people they have plenty of seats and then a number of seats for upto 6-8 people, and a small number of tables to accommodate 10-12 people. The dim sum dishes are wonderful and with the discount if you go early it's great value and nice environment. They have two family washrooms upstairs, and then normal male and female downstairs. Great for if you have young kids. read more

This restaurant took over the old Asian Legend that used to be here. The tables are well spaced and comfortable. They are currently in their soft opening phase. We ordered a few dishes to try our their dinner menu. The Peking duck was ok. Not super great but not bad either. We saw other Peking ducks that were served to other tables with oil pouring out of the ducks carcass. Some were burnt/not the nice glistening colour of Peking duck. The crepes for the duck were not good. Some of the crepe skins were hard, some were soft. The soup we had was ok, it would be better if they simmered it for a bit longer to thicken it a bit more. But overall, it was ok. The maggi beef had the weirdest combo I had in a while. Have never seen it served with zucchini before. It also seems like other dishes had a lot of zucchini as well. The seafood bird nest would be better if it was a thicken yam nest like in Asia. The Cantonese chow mein was good but there are other places that do a better job. The red bean soup was a bit too sweet and watered down. It felt like drinking red sugar water. The jelly and cookie was good. Overall, not too bad. They still need to improve on their food quality and attentiveness to service. Will return one day. read more

We got to try a newly open Chinese restaurant at Scarborough, Dragonview Chinese Cuisine tonight for dinner. Order a 6 people combo which includes Peking duck, 3 lbs stir fry lobster, sweet and sour pork, stir fry beef, vegetables, groupa, and soup. I must say the quality is really good, portion is decent. The environment is bright and clean. The lobster is a surprise because the lobster meat is huge for 3 lbs. Definitely recommended and will come back for another dinner or dim sum! read more

Came here for dimsum and they currently have a promo (all S,M,L dishes are priced as an S dish before 11am). Tried a variety of their dishes - they have items that are unique seafood items which are not commonly found at other dimsum spots. The dining area is very open but there are also individual rooms at the side that accommodate large or private parties. A very comfortable dining experience and the servers are quick and attentive. read more

New dim sum spot open at Brimley and Sheppard that's taken over the former Asian Legend. The inside feels very bright and spacious with the triangular ceiling. They serve a large variety of dim sum dishes. The pricing, portions, and quality was good. Service was a mixed bag, friendly but they keep forgetting to mention dishes that are sold out until you ask them about it. They're still in soft opening mode, though, so hopefully things will improve. read more

Dragon view Seafood restaurant just opened yesterday at soft opening stage. Newly decorated and very spacious and comfortable. The service was friendly. I tried the pan fried traditional cake where you can't get it everywhere. The fillings can use more flavour. But the pastry itself was good. Old school dim sum that you can't find it everywhere. The pan fried squid cake was on the saltier side but the texture was good. The stir fried noodle in shun de style (fried fish noodles) was tasty! First time coming here , newly open dim sum restaurant, did not like the quality of the food. Been to a lot of dim sum place this place food disappointed. We felt the most of the food on the bland side , the restaurant was busy and the place has a new ambiance Service was good and very prompt. Food was very good but unfortunately the service was not. They brought out our dishes so far apart in time that the food could not be enjoyed together as plates became stone cold before next dish was finally served, and they also forgot a to serve a dish. read more
