Terrible Customer Service This FedEx location has some of the worst customer service I've experienced. The staff comes across as rude, impatient, and lacking basic customer-service skills. Simple questions are met with eye rolls, blank stares, or an attitude that makes you feel like you're inconveniencing them. If a customer asks a question in the store, the expectation should be that the employee makes an effort to provide a clear and professional answer--not simply tell the customer to "look online." You work for the company, so you should have a reasonable understanding of the services you provide and be able to explain them to customers. I also had an issue where an address was entered incorrectly. When I pointed out the mistake and asked for it to be corrected, instead of simply fixing it professionally, the employee made a fuss and spoke to me in a condescending manner, as if I were a child. Customers deserve to be treated with patience, respect, and professionalism. Mistakes happen, but how you handle them matters. This location clearly needs to improve its customer service and the way employees communicate with the people they are there to serve. Quality of customer service really depends on time of day you go there, mornings is usually best. However, I feel generally overall it is improved within the last few months. I am leaving a one star review because I really want management to see this: PLEASE INSTALL AUTOMATIC SLIDING DOORS!!!! It is such a pain when carrying boxes with both hands and yet still having to open the door. I dont magically have a third hand springing out of me whenever needed. Carts are hardly available, and the doors dont stay open for me to walk in like normal. Because of this, boxes will get caught on the door and fall right off. Very annoying!!!! I've also had damaged items because of this! People in general are too stupid nowadays to even be polite enough to open the door, cant rely on them. They'd rather just stop and stare aimlessly. Please consider having an automatic door, it would solve alot of issues coming here. read more

I stopped by today to have a price list printed for my business and Jessica was very helpful. She's super knowledgeable and also showed me how to use their paper cutting machine. For example, if you print a small poster on an 11" by 17" paper and the edges show a White border that you would rather not have, you can use the free paper cutting board to trim your documents and/or posters. I would visit here again. They also print business cards and flyers. read more

I stopped by to ship a package internationally. The place is not busy. So I was catered upon arriving. The employee chose a box for me which I liked to make sure my package will not be cramped. She input the details, made sure to let me check before printing it out. Wonderful. Quality service. My SO accompanied me so I was able to use his discount. From $176 to $40. Wow!!! Anyone that takes time to look at my Yelp reviews might notice that I rarely give a one-star review. I seldom leave anything less than three stars because most businesses have at least one redeeming quality that offsets their poor performance. Something else that is important to note is that I never leave a review after one interaction. I make it a point to wait for at least three interactions to make up my mind. Some people have bad days; I get that. So, I try to be fair with my reviews. That being said, the Palmdale branch of FedEx has earned the rare one-star review that I hate to award any business. This didn't come easy which means they worked very hard for this review. Over the last three years, they have been responsible for my late deliveries no less than five times. Adding to this poor service, is their complete lack of honesty which happened yesterday (July 10th) when they logged in their notes that the reason for a missed delivery was that no one was available at the location. This note was logged at 10:14 am. With four cameras located at the gate and driveway, not one camera picked up a FedEx truck or any truck between 8:00 am and 10:14 am. Even so, there were six people on the property at that time, any of which would have opened the gate had FedEx actually been there. I have called 1-800-GoFedEx in the past to complain about the Palmdale facility and am usually rushed off the phone with a promise to do better in the future. During each call I leave my personal phone number to have the driver call when they arrive at the gate, but the driver never calls because they never actually arrive at the gate. My feeling is that the driver is running behind and chooses to forego my delivery as a way to make up for lost time. I have requested that everyone I do business with to stop shipping through FedEx since I never get my packages in time. Anyone else would be wise to do the same. Congratulations FedEx in Palmdale. You are a rare recipient of one of my one-star reviews. You woked very hard to receive this read more

I recently came into the FedEx store because I needed to fax a paper. As I walk in I see two employees and they were speaking to each other. Since I didn't want to interrupt I stood there and waited for them to finish and as they finished I told one of the employees (which I'm guessing was the manager due to her not being in uniform) and asked if someone can help me. She rudely replied, "What do you need help with?" With the worst attitude. I continued to speak to her and said I needed help with faxing a paper. She then (again) with attitude told me you can use the first machine and just press the fax button. With the worst.attitude. Ever. Like you couldn't help me? You couldn't walk me through on how I was able to do it? I guess she wanted me to figure it on my own. After she saw me at the machine she SUDDENLY wanted to help me saying "oh it was just one paper?" I'm guessing she thought I needed to fax a bunch of papers that's why she didn't even want to help me to begin with. I don't think it's right for an employee to do that though because isn't that the reason you're there? To help your customers in need? It upsets me more because my mom and I needed to fax papers urgently to send to her doctors because we had just gotten out the hospital. It was an urgent matter and she didn't want to help in the beginning. Worst experience ever with that woman with red hair. The man handling the customer service desk for dropping off packages today was very rude and disrespectful. Even though I was directly in front of him, he refused to acknowledge me. I'm a 62 year old woman just dropping off a couple small packages that have already been labeled for FedEx. Yet, he simply refused to even acknowledge me. I was directly in front of him. He wasn't busy. He had just finished with another customer, a man, and I waited for him to acknowledge me and ask if I needed help. Still, nothing. I simply don't understand it. Finally, I said "Hi, there. I have some packages to drop off." He still didn't look and me but said, "I know you probably think you're in a rush, but we are busy here!" He wasn't busy at all and he then asked the FedEx person next to him about my packages, when he saw me put them down right directly in front of him. Finally, I asked the person to his right that he spoke to about my packages, a female FedEx rep, and asked her if I could leave the packages and that they were all labeled to go. She said no problem. Either he doesn't like woman or something else is wrong with him. There was no one else around to wait on, except me. No one. This person should not be on the front desk working with customers. Even if a customer walked up in a hurry and looked distressed (which I wasn't) that is not how you should handle a customer. You're supposed to be helpful not hurtful. I've utilized this store so many times over the past couple years for printing for my job. I've only ever had a positive experience with the staff and quality of the prints I ordered. Ciara has been especially helpful when I came in for print services, she was always quick to get me what I needed so I could get in and out in a timely manner. Came to pick up package. 3 employees standing around and only 1 helping at the counter. Four customers including me in line all waiting for one worker. One employee, Frankie, did not seem pleased to be at work and to be asked questions. I followed the arrows to the counter where he was standing and he pointed to the other line and would not listen to my question. When it was my turn for service the whole procedure took less than a minute but I had to wait ten minutes to get to that point. Will try to avoid this branch in the future. read more

I had a great experience the first time I came, but apparently that was the exception to the rule. They don't make it a point to acknowledge you when you walk in, so you just stand there, without anyone saying, "Thank you for coming in, someone will be right with you.". Then you ask if there's anyone working in a certain department and they rudely respond. Project was not done when I arrived and I heard the employee that was supposed to have completed the job, tell her co-worker, to put it in the computer, as a machine malfunction! When my project was done, she shoved it across the counter and said "Sample". Not, "Here's your sample sir, does everything look good? Is there anything else I can help you with?". Just "Sample", packed it in a bag and turned around and went back to work. To say that they need customer service training, is an understatement. Normally I don't write reviews, however, this service was horrible! I shipped a package 2 day from California to Idaho. It was "guaranteed " by noon the day it was needed. It arrived 4 days after it was shipped. When I attempted to track it, no one could find it. Finally I found that it was sent to Memphis, TN. When I attempted to get my money back I was told wasn't a "guaranteed " delivery at this time. So, I paid $56 to sent a package that arrived 2 days late and I have no recourse. This shipment cost me over $500 because what I was shopping didn't arrive in time. Shame on you FedEx. Shame on all the supervisors and customer service agents that refused to help me and elevate this. All I was asking for is my shipping fees back. read more

Horrible place! They didn't want to accept my package because it didn't look pretty. Wanted to charge $30 bucks for a box! Went to Home Depot to go get the same exact box for $1.43 wrapped it in building paper for extra protection. Brought it back and the person at the store said ill gladly accept it if you mummify it (I guess if not the paper containing the shipping address could rip off so I can understand that) with tape granted the tapping would of cost about 10-15 bucks if I used theres. Little did they know I also bought some extra tape for 3 bucks at Home Depot. 3/4 of the way of mummifying it manager walks up and says he has to take it apart to inspect the integrity of the box. No prob if you wanna pay me for my supplies, he says no and won't accept it without tearing it apart. Got on the phone with FedEx corp and they said if it's mummified it's acceptable and to have the manager call him if he has a prob with that After I relayed the info back to the manager with a look of defeat he finally accepted it. Lesson learned: screw this fedex location ups all the way from now on! They're generally cheaper and don't try to charge you 30 bucks for an 18x15x32 inch box you can get at Home Depot for less than 2 dollars read more

If I could give them no stars I would Came here with my sister the other day to help her mail a few things to Florida for valentines day. The service was Terribly slow, the girl behind the counter had no idea what box to give us or how to assemble it, and then wanted to charge $170 to ground ship 9 lbs and one box of stuff to Florida, telling us it would take two weeks to get there. She clearly had no idea what she was doing and refused to ask another employee to help, so we left, went to ups and shipped it all for $18.00. I did everything I was supposed to. I was making my wedding invitations from a kit. I made the word files the right size, typed what I wanted them to say, and formatted the text the way I wanted it to look. All they had to do was press print. They were busy so they wouldn't print right now, not even a proof. I was worried that when I came back later, all the prints would be messed up. The lady there reassured me that they do these things all the time and it is their specialty. So I believed her and left my order to be completed later. Of course, I get back to pick them up and the font is arial! Really? You're that dumb? They ruined the invitations. But they get 3 stars because they made it right.
