Stopped in to have several name badges made for our non-profit. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to do business with and not taken aback by my lack of camera ready art work. I guess I hadn't realized how much simple name badges had gone up in price since purchasing several years ago. I remember the last time I purchased from a company that was local and unfortunately owners have retired, so that's no longer business option. Previously badges were between eight and $10, today the estimate was around $22 apiece. Now that's quite an uptick, especially for a nonprofit, to be coming up with for 13 badges. i went ahead and placed the order, because we do need the badges. Had a very interesting experience here. Had some girls in town from Spain. They needed to get their paperwork copied to help with their Social Security and work permit. This was the closest print shop to it so I called and asked if they did just copies like Kinko's. The lady, michelle, said yes they did, however they would have to make the copies for us. I asked if there was any surcharge for having them do it, she said no. We showed up, three of the girls had stuff to be printed but it was on their phone? Now I don't know a lot about technologies but I thought that would throw a wrench in the thing. But the receptionist just had them send it to her in an email. And then she printed off three copies for each of the girls. since it was a small order, they didn't even charge the girls for the service. That is an amazing thing to help some girls from another country in need. And not even charge them. Post Covid, it seems like every business has had to do a lot of less than savory changes, and here is a business that helped three girls out and didn't charge them. The girl I talk to on the phone, Michelle, came out and said hi to us and asked if we had everything taken care of. Such a friendly service, and expedient. I am pregnant with boy/girl twins and was having difficulty finding baby shower invitations for twins, so I decided to get some made. Stephen designed adorable invitations using some of my general suggestions (rustic, vintage-looking with owls) and made them absolutely adorable. Just the right amount of whimsy without being over the top, and even made one owl pink with a little bow, and did the other in blue. He was excellent at communicating proofs and ideas.
