The meanest lady I've ever met works at this fedex. Be warned. Seriously so rude, demeaning, not a good listener. The opposite. Berated me, repeatedly told me I did something wrong with my package scan even though I told her repeatedly that I hadn't even pulled my package out of the bag. The issue was with the machine when I walked up. I've dealt with her several times before and kept trying to find compassion and a reason why someone would be so rude and unkind "maybe she's having a really bad day, maybe her child is unwell, or she lost someone recently". This last time I left in tears. I'm not easily rocked, but sometimes people's ugly is contagious. I would rather drive 10 minutes than walk there is 5 minutes, I will never go back. read more

I went to FedEx Office a little over a week ago. I needed poster board, so before I went I called to see what sizes the store had, and according to the woman I talked to they had several. When I got to the store, the clerk confirmed that they had several sizes, but said that only one was for customers - the rest were only for employees! It wasn't my first choice, but I decided to buy it. However, I only had cash because I had temporarily misplaced my credit cards, and I then found out that there was a problem with the register and it could only take cards. The clerk was rude and never offered an apology. When I asked him for his name, he clammed up and wouldn't say a word. It's been a long time since I've gotten such awful service. read more

Worst customer service ever for pick ups and drop offs with one particular employee that's the shorter older lady. Horrible custoner service! Woke, grumpy employee was rude when I came in at 3:58pm to pick up my order that was supposed to be erady at 4pm. Apparently I was too early! LOL She threw the document nonchallantly on the counter once she finally completed it, and said "here's your document". I said "thanks and have a great day"....she said nothing and walk away! Honey, I'm so sorry you hate your job. No one forces you to be there. If you can't work with the public, stay home! Often when returning a product after an online purchase, you don't have much of a choice of what service to use. Many have an agreement with FedEx, UPS or another provider. If I'm not paying for return shipping, I honestly don't have a preference on shipping provider. My most recent experience was with FedEx at this location and was a positive one. I was returning heavy dog food cans to Chewy. They provided the shipping label to print and told me I could use the same label for two boxes. Wrong. Thankfully for Sierra at this FedEx location, she called me and said a second label was needed for the other box. I notified Chewy who emailed me another label and Sierra allowed me to email it to the shop, printed the label, taped it on and sent the box on its way. I appreciated the heads up she gave me and taking care of it so I wouldn't have to return to the shop. Thank you Sierra for your great customer service. read more

Horrific lack of customer service and employees seemed entirely untrained regarding how to operate the basic functions of the "copy and print center". Walked in (rushed in) acknowledged that I was a new customer and had never had to print anything on the fly like before - 'I'm trying to rush to an appointment, have never done this before, anything special I need to know?' 'No sir, it's pretty simple' - flash forward 5 and then 10 very important minutes later after trying multiple cloud accounts; OneDrive and then Dropbox... I am told that "oh, sorry those aren't working right now, people have been having problems - you should use Google Drive" .... (well, inept serviceperson, you should have told me that to start!!!) Oh, then, finally... "you can email me the file directly" - we try that, after waiting another 5 minutes of nothing I just leave to do this elsewhere. Later that night, I get a hard bounce-back, something in the email address that was double checked by me... was wait for it... wrong!... that file was never going to get there. If someone walks up to a machine and says hey, please help make sure I can use this machine quickly, a machine that is normally SIMPLE TO USE... but if your machine, or entire little bank of machines are broken or missing features, please speak up. I'm amazed this place can afford to make the rent where they are located. Get lost. read more

Had some tricky printing for a deadline project. I arrived after 6 and didn't expect to be able to pick up until the next day. James 101 was very busy with phone and passport orders but made an exceptional effort to get my project done while I had dinner. He transferred the files I brought in on a USB drive and resized the .pdf files to fit on an 11" x 17" sheet that were required for a complex editing job I had to get out. Actually the location on street State Street has improved, but FEDEX delivery in general the is the worst, the worst delivery service. Their app doesn't work at all. Unlike UPS whose drivers are unionized and excellent drivers because they have to work at a location facility before they become drivers Fedex hires anybody that can walk and talk. Because I am handicapped I have special needs but they are totally ignored by Fedex drivers. I've had shipments put in my yard on top of my chaise lounge which is seven steps down. You can no longer call any of their facilities directly. They have totally done away with all the phone numbers and then when you do get someone on the phon, their 800 number which is a joke you wonder how they find their way to work. This company is still independently owned and the owner has set this up to benefit himself. All the trucks are leased through third parties; he does not own any of the trucks at all. Smart for him, too bad for us. I currently have a lawyer looking at a lawsuit because living in California and being handicapped I should be protected from businesses that can't deliver my packages where I can get them safely. I have requested from Amazon not to use FedEx at all for my deliveries because they just can't seem to get their act together. read more

I had a few bad experiences here, where do I even start... 1.) I went to print some invites, two employees working and one of them leaves for lunch (I assume). I have the file on my usb memory and the guy helping me does not know how to print 4 invites in one sheet. It took him 15 minutes to finally print them. I proceed to pay but he starts helping someone else first. (not his fault they were understaffed), but come one finish helping a customer before moving into the next one. Then finally after paying I see he did not cut them, so i cut them myself and realized he printed them double sided! (Office max always cuts them for me). 2. Got charged 35 dollars for printing 10 sheets of paper and using their computer 10 minutes because the employee was again pretty busy. 3. I walked in 15 minutes before closing time on a Friday. I set my things at a desk behind the stationary cards and start looking at envelopes for my package. Lady a front yells.. "if you are shipping there is no point in dropping it off today mail was sent already and we are closing now" Did not even say hi first :( I am not one to confront rude employees so I walked out to the nearest UPS and they were able to help me 5 minutes before closing . So I understand that almost all of the businesses are short-staffs, but it's not fair to put the overworking staffs' frustration on the customers. I will not name names because I believe that everyone has a chance to improve professionally. However, I'd like to address this very issue with this particular franchise manager, please, re-evaluate your staff not only by their performance but also their ill-intend attitude and high temper toward the customers. WE DON'T WORK HERE, we don't know what's the code words for everything, we are willing to change but we, the loyal FedEx customers, don't have time to deal with the employees' temper and lecturing attitude for every 'wrong' word choice for the service order that we accidentally use. They're understaffed for such a busy area so be patient with them. They ship internationally. I came here to get away from the parochial mentality of the FedEx employees at the Hope location. After being turned away there, because I needed to mail a package to central London, I came here thinking that this location would have more exposure to international business and international addresses. This was an excellent decision because the employee knew exactly what to do to send the package internationally. I do know that parking can be a pain, especially if you have to carry a lot of packages, but so far I haven't had an issue with customer service, lost packages, or snotty attitudes. You may park up to three minutes in the loading zone. The employee was careful, thorough, and asked about customs. He was impressive, and got my package out just in time before a long holiday. From now on I am going to come here before going to the location off Hope, because I don't have the time to be turned away and running around town just to ship to London. read more

This used To be the most inexpensive copy shop in Santa Barbara, now it's the most expensive. The copy machines start off putting $10 on your credit card & are suppose to credit the difference, but my bank statement showed they still took out the full $10 for $2 worth of copy. What a hassle, It's now cheaper in the Public Library Across The Street. Fed-Up With Fed-Ex, their good prices are gone, just like the prior namesake "Kinko's". read more

Total customer service fail. While waiting in line to ship a package I was able to observe Lee, the manager, fail at printing an 8x10 format report into a legal size report Customer comments that he's had it done here before. Lee's response to the customer. "Sorry, sir. I just don't know how to do it" And throws the misprinted report in the recycle bin. Another customer interrupts Lee and Lee snaps back that he can't help him right now...There's a line! Customer #2 asks how long it might be. Lee snaps, I don't know, sir! Customer walks out. At the same time first customer also walks with no results from Lee. Meanwhile I am working with Luis at the package counter. He has me ready to go with it but has to check with Lee to be sure that my package is secure and I'm thinking oh, $&*@! Luis asks Lee to come over to check my package. Lee snaps, I can't do two things at once! Lee was fumbling at the register with customer #3. He then goes around the counter and helps someone on the floor with no thought of simply checking my parcel. I throw my hands in the air like a kind of care and Lee blurts out, "You're fourth in line"! My response. BWAHAHAHAH!!!! I took my parcel to UPS. I came here to mail a package for the first time recently. I normally use the FedEx on Calle Real next to Trader Joes, but this one was more convenient for where I was at the time. Honestly, I had previously read the reviews on this location and been weary of going here. It's laid out like a rectangle, and you walk into the shorter side so it goes back pretty far. Back in the back upstairs they have self service computers and probably the whole 9 yards with fax machines and paper cutters but I didn't venture back there. Lee ended up helping me mail the package and he was friendly and efficient. Overall, I really like how quickly FedEx can deliver packages - I don't think I'll use USPS again. read more

Nice people. But certainly not helpful. I'm trying to print up some business files using their automated service. I try my thumb drive-- it doesn't read, try the email-- doesn't send the code, try the google drive-- doesnt connect. I ask the woman (red hair) what the situation is, and if I can get my documents printed. She says.... "ya... it kinda has a mind of its own..." doesn't offer to help. She takes the next customer. I ask if using the computer would work instead, she says yes but it's more money per per print and per minute. Why would I pay more just because your system is faulty?? No thanks. I only go here as I do not currently own a printer. I could have bought 5 cheap ones by now for the amount of $$ I've spent on their PC's printing - at 65 cents a copy. A shorter lady working the shipping area at this location today (4/30/20 - 4pm) was the absolute rudest person I've ever encountered for no reason, I hadn't even spoken yet. I only described her on here so management could identify her should they wish to address the issue. She should be nowhere near a job which provides customer service. I highly recommend going anywhere else to get your shipping and other office related needs done so as to avoid this lady.
