this review is about FedEx in general, not one particular store. Okay, I sent a package to GA, and it cost me nearly $80. three weeks later, it was returned. I've talked to billing at least 6 times, went to the store I sent if from (we can't return money, have to talk w/billing) Okay, billing sympathizes with me, found the address on their map (something the driver couldn't do) but said I had to go through an e-mail process to get money returned. All the AI ( I'm sure of that) sees is that the address was incorrect. (It wasn't. I showed them a picture of the address on the package, a zillow listing, and even the GA county tax record with the location! What human wouldn't agree with me?) But their "tracking record" says incorrect address, and I got the package back. Okay, so $80 for a non delivery? Did they even offer to resend the package? No. I'm just suppose to go with the flow and accept their AI bs... So no stars for FedEx, and I"LL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. read more

the tracking is useless. the AI phone system is set up to prevent customers from speaking with a live representative. FedEx needs to be investigated for falsely claiming that packages were delivered or attempted deliveries that never happened. Speaking with a person is impossible. Our US Congress needs to take steps to hold Fed-Up accountable for consumer fraud. Fed-up is the worst delivery system. I will not buy from retailers who ship via Fed-up!!! read more

I kind of wish the store would just close down. I really had nothing but problems there. They often don't offer the basic service that you would assume they would offer i.e. they're a FedEx drop off location but they don't take FedEx packages. I waited at their desk to mail a FedEx package and was told to go to the front of the store and drop it off in the FedEx bin. But the bin is too small to take packages so I went back to the desk and was told by the same person that they won't take packages and that I should call the 800 number... Go to Post Options at the corner of 12th Ave. and Pike Street. They are awesome and make everything easy. read more

I often have to print out scripts and manuscripts. I need these bound in spiral binding. In the past I've been able to do my print and go and then go up to the counter and pay extra to have them bind the manuscript which would typically take them a few minutes. The past year they've been making me wait in some kind of queue and forcing me to come back usually about 8 hours to one day later to pick it up. So then why am I doing Print & Go? If this is supposed to be a fast and efficient service, making me come back hours to a day later is very inconvenient. To top it off this last time I went it I asked for a bag because it was raining outside and they would only give one to me for 0.09 cents, which of course I didn't have because I don't carry cash on me. What is the deal Fed Ex? This is lousy service. I know you don't care about 1 customer we who only uses your service maybe once a month but you have forced me to find another business that can meet my needs. Staff were helpful enough, but the manager seemed to get a kick out of being obstructive and uninformative- a really frustrating experience. Total lack of customer service. One of the most unhelpful people I had to deal with today. Basically, I spent two hours there doing different things - scanning, printing, and shipping. Every time I had a question, this unhelpful person named, Kianna was so matter of fact, no personality, and no customer service. Every time I had a question, it seemed like I was annoying her and it was such fake service when she remotely had a sense of kindness. We were mailing out ultrasound photos of our first baby to our parents and the experience was supposed to be special. Instead, I was so disappointed with this person making the experience so horrible. I asked - "Can I email you something so you can print it for me". Kianna says "No (points to the print station") and says to "go over there". I said "Well, I was here two weeks ago and someone was able to have me email your office email and was happy to print it for me". She shrugged her shoulders and ended the conversation.. I asked - "I'd like to print this photo from my phone". She said "connect it to the USB over there" (again, pointing towards the area) and making me feel like I was bothering her. I go to the station, but their equipment is so old that they only have USB and not USBC. Upgrade your equipment! So, I couldn't print the photo from my phone which was another ultrasound of my baby that I wanted to send to my parents. An hour passes by, we purchased a box, a mailer envelope, packing materials and so many other items. It was now time to send our package. We got a box and it had some room inside. Kianna says "would you like me to package it for you, but it would be $22 dollars. I asked "Do you have any junk magazines or newspaper that we can crumble up and stuff the box with"? She said "No". I asked again - "In this huge office supply store, you don't have pieces of trash or scrap paper you can let me borrow?" She said "Nope!" Well, she didn't even try to look! If it's their policy, fine. But show some kindness and compassion. You can simply say "Let me take a look around for you" or "I'm so sorry, we're not really allowed to give way scrap paper, etc". BE A HUMAN BEING! YOU CAN FOLLOW POLICY AND STILL BE A HUMAN BEING. IF YOU ARE SO COLD AND UNHELPFUL, THEN DON'T WORK SOMEWHERE THAT CONSISTS OF PROVIDING CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAUSE YOU LACK HUMAN COMPASSION. This is my last time coming here. Kianna was 0% helpful. The incompetency of these people! I have an overnight package being delivered. There was a storm in Memphis (understandable) and got to Seattle the day after. They supposedly tried to deliver and no call has been made on the callbox to try to deliver anything. I call to pick it up myself at this store when the truck comes back but somehow now the package goes back on Monday (it's Friday). I will never use this service again. Vile. read more

This is the closest office supply store to where I live so I have used this store on three or more occasions. The people who do the hiring at this store have definitely mastered finding employees who are RUDE, INDIFFERENT, and entirely lacking in customer service skills. Today I visited this store to find name tag labels, and the employee pointed to a distant wall, and said, "if we have them, they'll be over there." In most situations like this, an employee would walk over with the customer to find the requested item. Similarly, when it was time to get rung up, there were 5 or 6 employees behind the counter, but not a single one proactively came forward to help with check-out. I had to ask. Really horrible customer service and horrible customer experience. AVOID this place if you can! read more

I went to this fedex location the other day to make copies. I was told repeatedly by the salesperson that I could not do what I wanted(despite having done the same tasks there for 4 years) and the only way no could get my job done was to drop off my work for them to photocopy themselves. This would have been a a much greater charge. The salesperson was rude and aggressive towards me. The manager did nothing to correct her behavior or to intervene. Everytime I try to use their large format printer, it always has one problem or another. The last two times it required restarting. Another time the prints came out in circus stripes. This last time, the restart kept resetting over so that I was waiting 20 minutes. I gave up and requested that they print it for me, which they've done in the past. Instead I was told that they won't do that, but they'll call tech support and I can keep waiting. I need my prints & that printer does exactly what I need for screen printing. Now I'm left with no prints and a deadline. The staff didn't even try to be helpful beyond restarting the printer. read more

Non responsive, long lines, rude customer service. Terrible hours for people who have to work, then they act like I'm at fault when they sent my package back. I walked in twice to huge lines and no recognition for someone just trying to pickup. The attendant who "helped" me had an attitude, didn't know what he needed from me to find my package or how to work the operating system and then left me on hold when I called back to get my packing slip. What is the point of being a package delivery service if they make it impossible to get a package. I called and told them I was coming and they sent my package back anyways. I'm always shocked when I dole out 5 star reviews for big giant companies. Sometimes with all of the rules and all of the policies and employees things can get sloppy. But I've now used this FedEX location a number of times and have never had an issue. In fact, most recently (now a few months back) I had to ship a laptop back to San Francisco and needed it done safely and quickly. Having never packed such an item, I was so grateful that the guy behind the counter was able to actually do it for me. He was so friendly and so helpful I practically felt like he was doing me a personal favor! It took no time at all and the price was right for the job. Last time I was here, I had to make copies of a 1/4 sheet flyer, and it was a little frustrating because the staff member couldn't figure out how to help me. This store has garbage for computers, printers, and copiers and a team of apathetic non-starters behind the counter. OK if you are like most people you work during the day right ? so you are not home to receive that package IE: replacement phone that you do not want to be another day without Grrrrrr..... so you can call and they will let you pick up your phone (package) @ Kinkos until 9pm !!! thats right you don't have to use your lunch hour or take off from work and you don't have to ride the bus down Airport Way, to the Fed Ex Center there you can pick it up on your way home in your own neighborhood this service rocks read more

Horrible Experience here. I could not get my express shipping item to be coordinated to this branch. I spent enough money on uber to pick the item up on location and have already expanded all options. In fact prior to having request a pick up, the mail man failed all three attempts at delivery because he never rang my door bell and or called me and or place the package at the mailroom that is secured. Ultimately, reducing my express shipping into ground 7 business day shipping. Like what the bleeping f**k?! Ruined my entire user experience. In this day and age, user experience is everything. This place can be a good one-stop solution for a lot of stuff. About two weeks ago, I needed business cards, and I needed them right at the moment. I tried some local places, but they told me I was too late for a same day printing. So, I finally ended up with Fedex. They have... pretty much everything you need for an office. Printing machine, computer including ones have designing programs, copy machine, fax... at one stop. Although they told me that I have to make my own template to do an express printing, I was able to get my business cards in 30mins. (I just needed really basic one.) People working there... didn't look the happiest workers in the world or even in Capitol Hill, Seattle. The good news is Fedex doesn't have to be a social networking place for you. Money... yes, they are not cheap. In fact, these computers are pretty expensive to use. 15-20mins of using the designing programs costs like $8. However, if you really need something and you need it right now, Fedex could be a good place to go. read more

I've used other FedEx locations recently and dealt with representatives on the phone, and my experience has been generally positive with the exception of this location. Both times I've been here the location has been understaffed and the training manual appears to have taught their employees nonchalance instead of any ability to process FedEx services. The second and last time I went here the employee who helped me was unable to process a standard delivery option, and the employee didn't make much of an effort to figure out how to process the shipment. I then took my packages to a different location that had no such problem with FedEx's standard delivery options. read more

Most people probably know that Kinko's provides photocopying and computer station rentals at their locations--with customer service levels varying from poor to eh, passable. However, this location really stands out in their shipping department. First, they have a 4:45 pm weekday FedEx Express drop-off box, which makes this place convenient for late afternoon drop-offs. (The next latest in the area is the FedEx at 1200 6th Ave, in downtown.) However, what makes them really stand out is the friendly folks (especially John) at the shipping counter. I have shipped several packages from this location and have found that they are attentive, pack your items with great care and quote shipping rates that are competitive with UPS. read more

My fiance spent a day calling print shops to get quotes for our wedding invites. By the end of the day he knew exactly what to ask for (double sided, color, type of paper, etc.) so he was very specific in providing details to Fedex to get a quote. They gave us by far the lowest price around. So the next day, we go to drop off our files and have them do a proof. The proof looked good, but suddenly it would cost us $70 instead of $25. We told them what we were quoted and the guy mumbled some crap about a misunderstanding. No offer to give us any kind of discount, no apology, no customer service. There is an local print shop just down Broadway...give your business to them instead of Fedex. read more

So I'm waiting for the guy to ring me up. An employee at another register says "my register wont print". So the guy moves me to her register, rings me up, then says "it wont print you a receipt". I tell him I want a receipt, so he try's for 10 min, then decides to restart the register. After 10 more min he says "it wont do it. We'll have to do a refund". So I've already got a charge on my card. This is a large transaction. But what the hell. So after yet another 5 min I walk out with two charges on my card, no refund showing up, and very pissed off. I recently helped coordinate a large fundraiser for my non-profit organization, and my colleagues recommended our local Kinkos (I'm new to the job and neighborhood). I was a bit skeptical, as I know Kinkos can be pricey, and I've only received average customer service at other locations in the past. Boy was I glad I went here! My primary contact was Juliana, and she was a pro. She responded to my emails promptly, and even provided multiple proofs so I could select which version of the print job I liked best. She was even forgiving when I gave her the wrong specs for a sign. Hands down, I will be going back for the exceptional customer service (and fair prices) I received at Broadway Kinkos! This Fedex location is a-okay. My review is for Fedex shipping services (there is no Yelp business listing for Fedex in general that I can find). The problem is over having to visit the Capitol Hill Fedex store at all, simply to pick up packages that were supposed to be delivered to my home. Fedex is much worse than UPS because they push the signature-upon-delivery requirement, even for buildings that have secured mailrooms (they will not leave the package there if it has the signature requirement). UPS doesn't have this hangup. Fedex is shifting their loss/fraud costs (part of doing business in the shipping industry, and a small percentage of their profits) onto consumers in exchange for their convenience. read more

I placed an online order and had a surprising experience I wanted to share. I ordered a print of my illustration for my sister to pickup (she's in Seattle, I'm in Spokane). I had chosen a canvas print thinking it would look nicer than just a glossy or matte. Not too long after I placed the order I received a call from an employee named Jules. She said she just wanted to follow-up and make sure this was what i wanted. I'm so happy she called!! As it turns out, the print i chose needed to be stretched over a frame, you know, like a painting haha. Furthermore, I hadn't exported my PDF with any bleed margin. So basically, if they had simply given me what I ASKED FOR, I would have ended up with an expensive piece of canvas that couldn't even be stretched without cutting off my artwork! Jules did an excellent job of explaining this to me. She suggested to print the illustration on matte mounted on black foam core - and for the same price. It's almost shocking to have someone follow-up like this! Had Jules just given me what I asked for, I would have had to redo the print. I'm certain I would have been upset, and I'm SO Grateful that she bothered to take a couple minutes to confirm this with me. Excellent experience you have a very happy customer here! This is the FedEx location closest to me, and I've come here on many occasions. I've had packages held for me here when I knew I wouldn't be home to sign for them, and I've shipped multiple packages from here as well. The staff here are always prompt, polite, and extremely competent! This is a far cry from the two UPS stores on Broadway, where my experiences have ranged from meh to kill-me-now. On one of my most recent visits here, I had to ship a broken keyboard to Razer for servicing. I arrived with my shipping label on the box, and the box already taped up and sealed. Upon hearing that this wasn't a particularly cheap keyboard, the employee added several additional layers of tape to my box to ensure that it would be especially secure with no chance of opening. I have never had a shipping company employee do that before, and it was certainly much appreciated! read more

A few years back I left a pretty scathingly unfavorable review of one particularly employee that I had a terrible experience with, she has since been relocated. I recently ran into her in the downtown store and in all honesty I must admit that I was very impressed with her optimism and effort, she displayed professionalism, and positive demeanor even though we had a poor interaction previously. While it speaks to an individuals personal growth it also shows the effective training ability of FedEx Kinkos and reflects well on the company on the whole. Now back to the A-Team... the whole staff at the Broadway location have been so helpful in their roles leading up to, during and after the launch of my new small company that I feel compelled to give them a 5 star review. I have seen them handle extremely demanding customer flow RIGHT before closing time and treat each person like it was early in the day. They have (on many occasions) walked customers through step-by-step instructions on printers, scanners, programs, edits, etc. I even see them using customers names to created rapport, they don't simply act as employees but more as ambassadors to the FedEx Kinkos brand. When Fedex Kinkos decides to film it's next company employee training tutorial, no need to hire inexperienced actors, just roll a few cameras into the Broadway branch to capture exactly how these five star representatives work it! It's like a well oiled machine with Kyle at the helm (lets see if i can do this): & Juls, Paul, Jon, Ray, Theresa, & Laura there to answer questions and service your every request. My Broadway FedEx Kinkos visits stopped being just another print job, and became an experience to Yelp about. read more

This is THE PLACE to come if you need to ship artwork! I got a framed painting packed and shipped across country here and the guy who did it (rats, I can't remember his name, John I think...?) did an absolutely awesome job. He quickly and efficiently, safely and securely packed the painting in this totally sweet, space age box with air cushioning in it. He explained the whole process; the painting essentially ended up floating on air inside the box. This is obviously a specialty of his and he approached it with respect and care, and he was super friendly too. I would go here 10 times out of 10 to get this done in the future. read more
