Avoid doing Apple Trade-in with Fedex. Go to Apple physical store because Fedex will either get your device stolen or will break it. I gave my daughter tablet to Daniel at this location in perfect condition. It arrived at Apple trade-in center broken (completely bent). I have opened a formal complaint about this store. Do not use them nor Fedex if you don't want to get into trouble. I wonder if this was not even intentional the way it was bent. read more

I had come in to ship a package with a prepaid shipping label. The attendee told me that because it was a "ground" shipment I as the sender was obligated to pay for for the box, which was puzzling because, isn't that self defeating for a prepaid shipping label? I tried looking online for guidance that this was the case with specifically ground shipped prepaid labels, but I didn't find anything. I was confused and frankly frustrated that this nickel and dime'd me and added friction to my drop-off process. read more

He brought me from 100 down to zero because I became livid when I couldn't get my pkg. He calmed me down by speaking with the ridiculous customer service dept. After my nightmare today at UPS when picking up prints...FedEx was a godsend. I had originally placed an order to get a design printed on cardstock/postcard material paper earlier in the week for tomorrow's event. However, UPS was highly unprofessional and didn't process my order...The tried to print it on spot but everything just went wrong. Read my UPS review if you want more details on what happened there... TLDR, I needed to get same-day printing for my flyers FAST. I called into FedEx and Reuben was the one who assisted me. He provided me a sample print within 30 minutes and I was able to get all my copies within another 10 minutes. Alfred was also extremely nice and checked me out. P.S. the prints ended up being cheaper here than UPS too...with a smooth and frictionless experience while we're at it!!! I never thought I'd be writing a yelp review for FedEx nor thought I'd ever form any care or loyalty for one shipping service compared to another...but I think today's instance may have just won me over to support FedEx. read more

This is probably the worst FedEx location I've ever encountered. I had to come here since the Kinkos on California was closed and the gal originally assisted me and took my package. No issues. I wanted a receipt so then my package was transferred to the manager named Montee who gave me a spiel on how my Chewy.con return package had issues. Ie the box inside the shipping box shifted around when he shook it. He then stated he could pack it "properly" but would charge me 3.99. Ridiculous. I've shipped hundreds of boxes at my precious job and worked closely with FedEx on the corporate level and never had issues like this. Avoid this location and their shady practices. read more

The past two years, every 3 to 5 months i give it a try to go here to take passport photos. Every time, they disappoint me and say "Oh, sorry..seem like the camera doesn't work. I need to change its battery". You would think they would fix that right after, or a month later, or at least a year later? Every time, I gave them a little benefit of a doubt to come back. Received 5 star customer service from Reuben. He helped me resize the box for a prepaid shipment, and reduce its contents to be under the specified weight limit. They were somewhat busy with their evening parcel sort & scan. Reuben was courteous, clearly communicated throughout the process, and was a fine example of good FedEx service. Note: this FedEx office "store front" is not visible when driving up to the building. Plenty of parking is available nearby in the lots and parking structure. Just follow the well placed signage about 75' (25m) to the office building courtyard, and give a friendly hello to the FedEx employees. If they are busy, mind your manners, have some patience; and it will be fine. This fedex has great service but is slightly inaccessible as there is limited parking. Other than that they have less options than some of the larger ship centers like access to computers but they have all the necessities. They have features that let you print from email now so computers aren't as necessary as they once were. The stuff is extremely friendly here and are willing to go the extra mile to help out. read more

You'd think all Fedex Ship Centers would be pretty much the same. Not true. This one is terrific because they have Montee who is incredibly knowledgeable and service oriented. I've done a lot of shipping of fine art to galleries in Philadelphia and New York and Montee has done all the packing with great care with attention to both detail and cost. Yesterday I asked them to box a really big painting - 60x93 inches. Montee custom boxed even though I was going to have to use Fedex Freight not the services at this office. And just to cap the service Montee's colleague, Ruben, helped us get it strapped onto the top of my car. I take all my shipping to this office. read more

Came in to ship something overnight and Montee acknowledged me right away even though he was with a customer. Gave me some instructions on what I needed to do to ship something out and he was very friendly and helpful. He showed the same friendliness to the other customers as they walked in. This location at Palo Alto Square is the best FedEx. The CA Ave. employees are slow and unknowledgeable. But at the PA Square store, Reuben and Montee are outstanding employees who are experienced and know all the rules, very competent and courteous. I don't understand the bad reviews here, I've always seen Reuben and Montee there. Back in the 1980s, FedEx was the BEST but now, their delivery service has waned and if I don't HAVE to send a return through FedEx, I trust USPD or UPS more. I've had bad delivery service with FedEx! One item never got delivered to my son and I spoke on the phone with them for over an hour, two times. Other packages I am supposed to receive get stuck at locations so they have been delayed by days or a week. The guys that work here are absolute sweethearts and always greet me with a smile. However: Were are your gentlemen manners?!?!?! You know your door is super tough to open, especially when I approach in 4" heels and 3 packages weighing around 15 lbs each stacked on my arms and cradled to my chest with my finger tips. Please, one of you three show some old school chivalry and dash around your beloved counter and open this frickin' stubborn obstacle. I can't even push my decent-sized bootie against it since this door opens outward. Yeah, yeah, I know, it's a California earthquake and explosion code requirement. So instead you young and capable boys make me do a little balancing act outside like I'm the dial-a-circus and watch me push boxes against the wall while trying to open the door handle with my pinky finger. I get it, it's amusing to watch the blonde struggle, but at some point one of you guys must have that manly instinct to help the female in trouble... This has not been the case in 2009 or so far in 2010, but I'm not giving up hope on you boys! They take passport photos...for $14.95 (for two). Not cheap, but there was no wait, and I got my photos in 5 minutes. They location is a bit difficult to find, tucked away with an entrance facing the center of the Palo Alto Square buildings, but I can imagine that it's pretty convenient for all of the office workers to have a service center so close to work. This FedEx Kinko's center is right within walking distance from my office building at the Palo Alto Square. Such an easy convenience to have it here when I could just take a break and drop off the packages instead of driving to a drop box. I was in dire need of Fedexing a shipment yesterday and it was past 5pm. I called this store and spoke with Jesse. He informed me that I could drop off as late as 5:45pm and it would be shipped out to L.A. that night. Hooray!!! I drive down to the movie complex area (AKA Palo Alto Town Square) and drive around the entire thing without seeing the glowing FedEx sign. What the heck!? Where are you FedEx? Finally I park my car and go look at a sign. Building 4 (Closest to El Camino). Ok. I run down to building 4 and there, in between 4 & 5, I see FedEx. I step into the store and there is a line, of course, but Jesse asks if I'm just dropping off and takes my envelope from me. Thank you. No need to stand in line. HOORAY! I can't say much about this FedEx because I really didn't need much help or do much there. I came just for a quick drop off. I called ahead because I had always seen the sign but never been able to see the actual store. It's tucked around the back of the building btw.. But I called ahead and spoke to some girl on the phone and she was very understanding and helpful. When I got there there were signs to help direct to to the store front. Inside, it's not the biggest fedex but it has everything that you need. I can't imagine it gets much of a line either because there was only one person working when I walked in. He helped to scan my envelope quickly and get it on its way! They might deserve more or less stars, but this was the rating the receive based on my experience! read more

I gave this FedEx a 2-star review last month, but after working with them two or three more times, I'm upping it to a four. Russell has been fantastically helpful with my various projects - many of them last-minute ones. Once, I needed 40 copies of book printed by 10:30 am the following morning - he told me that their office wouldn't be able to have it done in time and asked if it was alright if he sent the job to the FedEx office on California Ave. He handled everything, I dealt with whatever I needed to straight through him, and all I had to do was pick the books up. He has my CC on file so he sorted out the charges and it all was easy and made sense. Russell, you've totally changed my mind on your office. Kudos, and good work. I can't believe I'm writing a Yelp review for a FedEx shipping center, but after the service I received tonight, I thought it warranted. This is the first time I've been to this location, and it's tucked away in Palo Alto Square near Page Mill and El Camino. Conveniently, it's open until 8 pm with ample parking (at least in the evening). It also sounds like, given its location and smaller size, it is less busy (meaning shorter wait times/lines). I came around 6:45 pm, and the place was pretty empty, save for a few customers quickly dropping shipments off. I had to pack and ship 10 packages this evening, and Gabe was manning the desk. He was incredibly polite, helpful and patient. I wanted to give some kudos publicly for his really great customer service. read more

They are horribly rude. I called ahead for a print and go job and they told me to come over. There were more than three people (all employees) in the store, so they asked me to wait outside for ten minutes. I was ok with that. I came back in ten minutes and the main guy rudely waived me away again without saying anything. I asked how much longer. He gave me a very annoyed look and said ten more minutes. He could have easily had an employee step outside while I finished my two minute print job. He definitely could have been more respectful. I will absolutely not be coming here ever again. read more

If I could give fewer than one star, I would. I went to pick up a package that my son had ordered as a Christmas gift for me which he had directed there to avoid a signature requirement and to maintain a surprise. Despite the fact that my license ID showed the same address as the mailing address, with the same last name as my son, I was not allowed to pick it up--"only he can." He doesn't live here. I guess you can't expect someone managing a fed ex office--David-- to use common sense. I identified the contents of the package, offered to call and have him talk to my son, and yet he couldn't see beyond "policy." To add insult to injury, when I asked him for the number to call for fed ex, he gave me the number for a foreign hotel. Can't even get a phone number correct. Addendum: after wasting an hour on this, Fed Ex confirmed by phone that their policy is to allow someone to pick up a package so long as the ID has the same last name OR same address as on package. Ok so I wish there were 2.5 stars, its not that its that bad, but here are my problems: 1. it's hidden way out of the way, and there are no clear signs 2. it is a VERY small fedex store. 3. they dont' have computers were you can log in and access your email to print your own stuff. they make you purchase a flash drive or purchase an iphone charger cord (!) in order to get your stuff printed. I have been to make better Fedex. This one was just mediocre. read more

Watch out for staff at this location. Tried to ship my package but they would not take it; they tried to up-sell me $4 to add stuffing even though it was a solid box. I left, repacked my package, went back and got an estimate of $18 to ship an 8 pound package via Ground. Got my bill and the charge was changed to $47. Had to call customer service and customer service refunded me $28. If you are the manager, you have an employee that is hurting your business. read more

Many locations are good to do business with but If you want a place to go that is off the beaten path this is the place to go. It's a hidden location with great knowledge of shipping. In addition they also are printing orders like banners and other Kinko's related projects. If your not in a rush you can drop it off and pick it up latter or have it shipped to you. read more
