    An Appleseed...
    Vessy M.

Let me start by saying I am grateful FedEx exists. I'm only giving this one star to the customer service I received from two workers, yesterday afternoon. (I was picking up a package that I was told by my cell phone provider that I could return via Fed Ex or the post office.) When I opened the package and provided the Fed Ex worker the return sticker she quickly stated that I needed to return it at the post office. Ok, I said , thanks for letting me know. She then left the front of the very nice and clean little Fed Ex pop up station that it is and I looked for tape to re package my package that I needed to return at the post office (even though it was delivered through Fed Ex). I grabbed some tape and took one strip. I did not initially see that it was in fact for sale and not for customer use. The door opens and in she comes and says "you'll have to buy that tape." I say that I did not realize it was for sale initially and that I don't have $ with me to pay for it. She tells me to wait and proceeds to the back to get another woman who walks in with a scowl on her face like she's ready to fight. She proceeds to tell me how that what I've done, is stealing and that if I don't pay for the roll she'll call the police. I try to explain what happened, she in turn, doesn't care and is sitting on a high horse riding in the sunset of her false correct minded victory. I'm viable upset at this point and become rude as well, offering she and her co worker the full fledged projection that they are giving me. She then asks for my ID/name and threatens me with calling the authorities, again. I'm like what the F***?! I tell her that later this evening when the day is done and she's lying in her bed, she will remember this incident and not feel good inside about it. She will remember that today she treated someone like, S***. I leave determined to find enough change in my car to pay her the $2.50. I only find $1.75 but then find a $20 in my purse. In the meantime two customers are now in the Fed Ex station and both women are assisting them, as I walk through the doors. The meaner one who threatened me (2nd woman with long brown wavy hair who obviously needs some loving attention and appreciation) says to me "I have your tape." I tell her: you can keep the F***ing tape and let someone who needs it, use it! The two very tall male customers both look at me, then one takes a picture of one of the Fed Ex workers before he leaves. I then give the slightly kinder Fed Ex worker the money (she also needs love and badly) and she returns my change. I say Thank you ladies, and walk out the door. I'm thinking I might send them a bouquet of flowers. *Perhaps if I wasn't judged on my appearance (for the fact that I was in a t shirt short shorts romper with cleavage in full view) these hard working, momentarily un loving women might have treated me more humanely. But then how could they? They are unhappy & miserable and it was written all over their faces. I wish that it had gone differently. I wish I could have mirrored how beautiful they are... because in the end, everything that isn't love is, false.

Terrible customer service. These people act inconvenienced when you go to pick up a package.

Pricing was competitive compared to other movers I found on Craigslist especially they gave me free in home estimates, on top of that they were available.. lifesaver!! My mom had so much kitchenware and fragile stuff I was stressing out because I had no time to pre-packaged them before the movers came, ended up that the movers were able to carefully wrap them in blankets, and provided bins, wooden crates, basically did all the work. The movers were super cool and polite, especially my mom that can't speak English they were still very kind. When the belongings arrived, the movers even assisted with unpacking everything as well. They were so fast and efficient, everything was brought in carefully without scratching our hardwood floors. Thank you Kerb Movers!!

Moving is always a stressful process for everyone involved, so don't ask your sibling or friend to help. Save your loved ones the trouble, and just hire Kerb to take care of all your moving needs. If you've never hired movers before, it will CHANGE your life! There is something beautiful about just pointing at things, and having people package it and move it. You just can't go back after that. I've hired a bunch of movers in the past, but none come close to the professionalism and kindness of the guys at Kerb. Kerb also does not nickel and dime you for everything. It comes with moving blankets and those plastic wraps for smaller items, free of charge. Highly recommend Kerb for anyone trying to move from Chicago to LA!

Steer clear of this company. They are a complete scam…read more Long story short, they box you into a corner and make you pay much more than your estimate. They are absolutely non responsive to inquiries regarding your goods after load up, and never respond to claims filed after delivery. The detailed story... We worked with a 3rd party moving company (Allied Transportation) that subcontracted with Rapid Relocation. We were provided a quote by Allied and informed that, the day of, Rapid Relocation would video our goods and inform us of any changes. The first tip off was the estimated START time - we were provided a window of 4 to 6pm. I've had multiple cross country pack ups, during NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS. They showed up just before 6pm with only two guys (we were told there would be three). After a quick walk around (no video) we were told we had more goods than estimated, but we'd have to wait until they were completed. They didn't come with the necessary boxes (such as wardrobe and dish pack), so had to run back to the warehouse to get more. Because of the short staffing and delays, they were packing and loading until almost MIDNIGHT (which is unacceptable, my mom is 70yo). Typically there is a person inventorying boxes with colored numbered stickers to ensure your stuff stays together. I didn't realize this step was skipped until the truck was half loaded. The guy assured me he was "taking count". At the end, they increased my quote by nearly 30%. He pointed to some lines at the top of the truck and said that was how the cubic foot estimate was made. I have pictures of the truck that show there was definitely dead space. But at this point, they have your stuff hostage - what can you do? Refuse to pay and they drive off with everything? Or unload it and keep the initial deposit? It was midnight, I was exhausted, so paid and figured we'd set things straight upon delivery. While things were en route and stored, they go radio silent. We had no idea where our stuff was or when we would get it. Working through Allied got us no where. They told us we could call/text RR, which never resulted in any response. Allied also informed us we could dispute the overage by obtaining evidence at pick-up of the true cubic footage. Fast forward almost a month...our delivery is finally scheduled (so grateful to finally hear from them!!). They tell us they should be there by 5pm, but arrive closer to 7pm with only two guys. My husband was there to video tape the unloading so we could confirm they overcharged us at pack up. But payment is demanded up front, so we are again held hostage and MUST PAY. Once they open the door, we realize there are multiple shipments on the truck with no clear delineation. Because of how the boxes were labeled (or rather, not) it wasn't clear what was ours. We literally had to guess on some things, which it not acceptable. My mom's mattress and boxspring, which were wrapped at loading, were laying on the floor of a dirty truck without protection. To make matters worse, it was pouring rain. But instead of them taking boxes inside one would push my mom's items to the foot of the truck and let it get drenched while the other guy did the running. Boxes were literally disintegrating in the hallway as they were brought in, furniture was pulled apart based on how it was handled. We had to ask them to put down protection for the floors or remove their shoes (this is standard practice). We paid for a package that was to include reassembly of furniture such as the bed, but we had to haggle with the guys who did not seem to think this was their job. At the end of the day, we had numerous damaged goods and some missing items. If you go to RR website and file a claim, you are not given a claim number, their site just informs you that someone will respond in 24-48 hrs. Nothing happens. So I filed another claim, took screenshots of the claim, and send the PDF to their two email addresses. Again, no response. They also don't respond to phone/text. It's been more than a month, which is completely unacceptable. At this point, I have zero faith I'll ever hear from them. I truly believe both Allied and Rapid Relocation run a scam. You cannot reach RR directly, so I hold Allied partially responsible for this mess. Allied rejected the overage claim on behalf of RR, and say that they don't deal with claims. They wiped their hands clean of it all as soon as the move was completed. We've filed multiple complaints where we can, but it's infuriating to know companies can just take your money, damage your goods and continue to operate.

That's where the problems began. No one reached out to me. I tried calling the Schaumburg office repeatedly. Mostly, I would sit on hold listening to an automated voice until the call would disconnect. Multiple times I would call during business hours just to get a message telling me to call back during business hours. I was twice answered by an actual person and both times they told me that they were transferring me to the appropriate department. Both times they disconnected the call instead and didn't answer when I called back. I didn't receive any contact until after I called corporate, and when a representative did reach out, it was via text message without identifying themselves or the company they represented. It still took an additional 12 days from the point of contact for them to claim they had no liability, even though their movers included in the damage report that the damage occurred when moving the furniture incorrectly. They offered to discuss further if I had anything to add to dispute the claim, but I am now once again not receiving any responses. I had a second move planned, which they were aware of. I will not be using them for it, nor will I recommend their company to anyone asking in the future. I've spent so long on hold at this point, that I have memorized their spiel about how generous the owner is and how much the company donates. It comes off as pandering and insincere when they won't even acknowledge liability.
