    Absolutely terrible company to work with. They shouldn't ever be allowed to move military families. Completely unprofessional, Joe argued with me about what he had told my wife he will do then asked me to take stuff apart because he didn't hire a third party. So much broken and lost stuff. If you are military and you get this company assigned, request a different one. I've been in 15 years and never had this terrible of an experience. The photo attached is how our parts box looked when it got delivered with half the stuff missing. For a move from Florida to South Carolina somehow some of our stuff ended up in Illinois.

    We have used Shur-Way the past 3 times that we have moved and they have provided top notch service every time. From the estimate to the moment they are done, they show the utmost professionalism. Moving sucks. These guys do it with a smile on their face. Thank you Shur-Way!

    Screws that were needed to reassemble furniture but we left

    Unfortunately I used Shurway this August 2023 and had a terrible experience. They loaded the truck without wrapping my chairs getting grease stains on three. They put the mattresses on wrong. Like one box spring on one bed and one on another. They scratched my new floors, scratched and nicked several pieces of furniture. (One piece that they had waiting in the garage that they sat on to drink their Gatorade. the broke part of the mirror on my dresser and hid it. When I pointed it out they said, "it happens and it's only cosmetic" They lost several pieces used to reassemble the mirror on a dresser and also to hold together my sectional. They left an office chair without one of its wheels. I could go on unfortunately. They stated that they stand behind their work, and when they told me about the insurance, they said that if they have problems they fix it. However, when push came to shove they do not stand behind it. The rep at Service pro (the HS friend of the Shurway manager) called Shurway and told them to just replace the chairs because they would not be able to get the stain out. After that I received an email from said manager stating that they would only reimburse me for what I signed for insurance. They had in writing told me what they would agree to and they completely reneged and then never responded. They no longer came to clean the chairs nor the carpets that they stated they would do in that email. They were to clean the carpets because they did not put floor coverings on the new house floors. I am including a couple of pictures just so you can see as well. Needless to say this was very disappointing and very poor customer service. I had a two day move and on day one half the workers just took off leaving my house in complete chaos. It was a maze to even get through my home. I had to walk around and find the cushions for my sectional that were left in multiple rooms. Actually, only half of the sectional was moved. The cushions were not wrapped or covered. They were thrown in the truck for my couch, as well as my outdoor sectional. I had a bookcase moved that they pushed along my uncovered wood floors and then was told by the mover that he would not move this anymore, even though it was not in the spot that I wanted, and he walked. The head mover was not even aware half the team had left. When I called the manager that evening, the move was in ship shape for day two. If day if day one was handled the way that day two was there would've been no issues but that took me calling the manager multiple times very frustrated and requesting that a manager be on site for the remainder of my Move. They also left water bottles and garbage throughout my old home. I would encourage anyone that may consider using Shurway to watch them like a hawk and make sure they are wrapping everything, moving slowly, and as they take things apart that they put the Nails, screws etc. into baggies that are labeled with what they go on. This was by far a very, very horrible experience. I used them six years ago for my move as well and had issues with the customer service. I flagged this to the manager of my past experience and he let me know that Customerservice had been improved etc. which it had not . I am happy to share more context privately. Bottom line, they agreed to repair scratched and damaged wooden furniture, scratched wood floors, paint where they left considerable marks, clean the carpet and the greasy furniture. Some of these things were taken care of, but when it came down to the things that could not, they refused. I was accused of being harsh. Which I was very frustrated, but they accused me of being rude to their vendors. For some context, I am still using the wood repair guy and Servicepro. I have texts I can share from Service pro stating that I was very pleasant and not an issue at all as well as from the wood repairman. Months later I am still finding things that were in boxes that were damaged, etc.. overall, I don't think you want to go with any company that you would even have to have that amount of agreed-upon repairs.

    CAUTION: Broken dishes.....damaged furniture.....$761 cost to move 10 minutes to my new home. Be AWARE!!! I chose a more expensive company to move my 1 bedroom apt to ranch home, because I've used cheap, in-state movers and was certain this would ensure a safer and more professional experience. I WAS WRONG! 1. No call before arrival 2. Came into apt building unannounced when I wasn't there before start time. 3. Very hostile attitudes 4. Very rough handling and loading of furniture/boxes. 5. Broke items while moved in bubble wrap/in box. 6. Still finding broken and damaged items. 7. Didn't finish move in 3 hr minimum. Total cost $761 for 3.5 hour - Saturday move. During the move I decided to move pictures and mirrors myself based the poor loading of items. VERY EXPENSIVE. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Update: $1200 Breville Barista malfunctioning which was bubble wrapped bottom of box.

On our appointed day, Lorenzo and Isaac showed up on time, were courteous, worked efficiently, and loaded up all of our stuff within the 1.5 hour time window. We had at least 30 boxes already packed and loaded in our garage and not a lot of heavy furniture , so that helped, but we do have a lot of stairs and the incline up to our third floor is STEEP. They played a great Tetris game at fitting everything in--that truck was PACKED. So these guys didn't look like what I thought College Hunks would be--but they did a great job so they were even better! The best way to keep the pounds off is to stop accumulating stuff (which is hard to do). We are now on a strict regimen of not buying more stuff unless a necessity and we will book another appointment to offload more stuff later this year.

    I hired this company for a small move they estimated would take one hour ($299): four pieces of…read morefurniture from upstairs to the garage and one piece from the basement to the garage. When the movers arrived, they seemed unprepared and did not use any protective equipment (no blankets, straps, or padding). They seemed inexperienced and struggled with each piece, only managing to move three items, leaving 22 drawers upstairs. In the process, my wall and ceiling were damaged. I ended the job after an hour because they were causing more harm than progress. When I contacted management, they offered only a minimal reimbursement that didn't cover repairs or the cost of hiring another mover. The manager stated they would not cover any damages because "I signed a waiver." Although the company is insured, the waiver apparently excludes coverage for damages, even those caused by their own handling. The waiver states they are not liable if there is less than 8 inches of clearance. In this case, there was well over 8 inches on all sides, but due to how the movers angled the furniture, they created less clearance and caused damage. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this moving company.

They're also happy to provide a quote (not to be set in stone) versus insisting that you call them first. They were also reasonable. My entire interaction was online. Though there were doubts if they would show up...like clockwork Keep It Up was at my home. They make sure to provide reminders a day in advance. They also let you know their expected arrival when they depart from their facility. When it comes to the moving itself, two nice gentlemen did the job well. It took 7 hours and two rounds. There was an extra charge for our sleeper sofa, based on it's weight. It is important to note that their fees include disassembly and reassembly of furniture. We had sooo much random stuff and we weren't able to box it all. Per our request, the movers took almost everything we pointed at. I did a lot of moving when I still had hair on my head. It was nice to have the pros handle everything for a change. I'm so done with moving. It is so taxing, especially when you've been in one place for so long. But if you must, then Keep It Up is highly recommended by me.
