I will never be using FedEx again. My package was supposed to be delivered last Friday 15th July. I waited home all day as the package contained 3 live plants. After 3pm the Fed ex website was updated and my package was now being delivered Saturday. Saturday I could not wait home, and saw an email that package had been delivered at 12.04, when I got home at 3pm there was no package, walked all around the house, nothing. I drove to next street over where fed-ex has mis delivered before. NOTHING. Called Fed- ex got a lame guy who said there was nothing they could do as I had filed a missing package on line. He said no one will be able to help me till Monday. I explained it was plants and he did not seem at all interested, he told me someone would call me Monday. Called Sunday, same thing. Called Monday 18th July as no one called me, was told that the driver will be contacted and there would be an update. Nothing, so called back Tuesday 19th July got another lame guy saying the package was damaged and was with Fedex, then the website was updated and I saw package was out for delivery. I called back and was told it was not out for delivery as it was missing a label. Now I am seriously upset. I hung up called back and got through to someone in the USA who called Oakland and was told it was out for delivery, but package had been damaged and re packed. Package was delivered around 5pm Tuesday, no door bell was rung as I was home, the box was left in full sun, in full view of street, if they had moved it two feet to the right it would of been in the shade and hidden from the street. Fortunately I was signed up for email updates, so went down and got the box straight away. I saw a huge red label on the outside of the box saying "live plants do not expose to heat" the box was dirty but not damaged, the label was intact with correct address name and phone number. The plants were dead. I am angry at Fed-ex for the lies and the time it took and run around. I am angry at the initial customer service reps who are useless and gave me incorrect information. I am deeply sad my plants are dead. Whoever delivers to my address is careless and irresponsible and its obvious they don't give a damn. They never ring my door bell and often leave it at the wrong door in full sun and full view of the street. If you want to file a complaint, there is only one way to call their 1-800 number and get connected to another useless person in their customer service. Expensive and terrible. I will be using UPS from now on. read more

Had a express driver though this site. Worse delivery driver said his name was Ivan. He has for the 4th time said he couldn't get in and we weren't home.Liar!!! We actually were in front on the sidewalk waiting from 11 am! Delivery was suppose to be at noon. This is 4 th time! Went to Oakland store were he drives his truck out. Live coral and if not in time will die. After a few trips to Oakland store. This driver comes up at 2;45 pm and gets on me for reporting him: funny as we saw him drive by and not stop. We also had a driver that was fedex ground that was there and this driver says I don't talk to ground. Then when I told him we were out front he said we were lieing. And he don't give a f--/ about coral dieing or he don't give a f___ about reporting him either. They aren't going to do anything. read more

Fedex was supposed to deliver my refrigerated medication on Saturday and they have reported "Customer not available or business closed - Access is controlled by customer"! This is an absolute nonsense lie! Our building has lockers and USPS, Fedex and UPS have keys to the lobby and therefore to the lockers. That's the way I have received my medication once a month (mostly on Saturdays) for the last two years! Are you guys aware that someone's life and health might be depending on thar refrigerated medication the you were just lazy to deliver? I have to wait until Monday now to get it and have just to hope for it still be usable because I am not sure what is the temperature in this lazy and lousy Fedex warehouse that they are keeping my medication now! read more

This place is terrible and I would not refer them to anyone! I literally have been calling in and waiting all morning on my package and they said I was not home! I cannot believe how unprofessional they are as an entire company. I put clear instructions on the details of my address with my gate code and no one showed! I've been looking outside frequently and even placed a physical note on my apartment gate to call me when they got here, although I still have to go in and pick up my package. I had to go here to pick up a package that FedEx should have delivered to my apartment complex's front office instead of directly to my apartment at 8:30am on a week day. Who is home on a week day at 8:30am? People work for a living and now I had to wait until after 6:30pm since that is when the driver was supposed to end his route for the day. The whole point of home delivery is not have to go out to a ship center. Anyways, once I entered there was already a line out the door and no one behind the counter. Once an employee came out from getting a package, he gathered a bunch of door tags to go find the packages in the back. Luckily, another woman emerged and had my package, since we had called ahead. Garbage customer service. Can't even take 5 min service 2 people who were there BEFORE the closing time. I urgently needed the package I was picking up, I drove an hour to get to that specific location, I was there before hey closed, she told me they had to close doors. The package was going to be returned to the sender to a different state (because of FedEx's own mistake) and I will effectively have to wait another 7 days for it to be sent back to me. Consistently unpleasant location. I was disappointed and severely inconvenienced by missing the delivery at my place of business. I received the door tag and was unable to procure my delivery until 6:30pm at the nearest ship center. The customer service at the ship center was terrible. I walked in the door with a smile and patience and was treated like I was an inconvenience. The customer service representative did not want to give me my package because my ID didn't have my business address on it. I recited the exact address, suite number, and name of the business which apparently wasn't good enough. She then proceeded to lecture me and say the only reason I'm releasing this package to you is because there is a line behind you. I patiently waited my turn just like everyone else in line, do not talk to me like I am a little child. I hope I never have to come here again. read more

What a terribly managed distribution center! Went there to drop off a package and waited 25 mins. in the parking lot as the 3rd person in line. The sign on the door asked people to social distance and only 2 people allowed in the business at a time. When I finally got in, there was one employee who was not wearing a mask and asked me if I had any tape for the small box I brought. Why would I bring tape to a Fed Ex distribution center? If Fed Ex provided that information on their return shipping labels, I would have brought my own tape. She said she didn't have any tape and could not take my box. This gets better. I called Fed Ex customer service and waited 43 mins. to speak with someone. I wouldn't do business with Fed Ex if they were the last place on earth. read more

Instead on the day the package is to be delivered they send a message saying their attempt to deliver failed because the receiver was not home. Not only do they tell us we can go pick up our package since we weren't home but once we get there they deny us and tell us they can't give it to us because we haven't updated our address on our IDs (we moved) so we have to wait for them to come by again on MONDAY. On, 7/3/14, at 7:20PM, we went to the "Hegenberger" office at 8455 Pardee Dr. Oakland, CA , to pick up a package for my husband. There was only one woman staffing the outer office and about 20 people in line. We waited over an hour before we were able to get our package and leave. The woman working alone in the outer office was nice but she said she had asked for back-up and no one had responded. The sign said the manager on duty was Jacob Archuleta, but he was not there. While waiting in this amazingly slow-moving line, amid a bunch of other very angry customers, I tried the fedex 800 number four times. Each time I called I had to negotiate the menu and wait for customer service. Each time I waited until I heard a ring and could hear voices in the background, but the person who was supposed to be answering the phone cut me off without speaking. At 8:00PM the woman in the office called all the people in line (which was way out the door) inside, and locked us in. Then a rude woman came out of the back and barked at us sarcastically to get in line. She took door tags from those of us who had them, and disappeared into the back for an interminable period. I don't know why she didn't come out and collect the door tags earlier, when we were waiting outside. It might have helped. My back hurt so badly from standing so long (nothing to sit on either inside or outside the miserable office), I finally lay down on the floor. After we finally got our package we had to wait until a small group had formed, and then we were escorted outside through a different exit. We finally were able to leave about 8:30. This was all around the worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

This place is unorganized. I made arraignments to pick up my package from this location. I was told that my pick up time would be from 9pm to 9:30pm. I show up at 9:15pm and my package was not there. The lady told me that my driver had 9 packages left to drop off and that he would be 20 minutes late. It is currently past 10pm and my package has not arrived yet. I have work early in the morning and I am stuck here waiting for these guys to do their jobs. read more

This place is thee worst place I've ever had to deal with for shipping/receiving. So I arrive before they close that way I'd have an easy pick up but it was not pleasant whatsoever. My fault for not having a current address to Identification so I had to find a form of bill with my name and address. Mind you it's like around 8pm when they were closing. I explained the situation and they said if I could find one in my car that's perfectly fine. After I found one after a little bit of time, I return and the lady who was helping me out was no longer there and when I tried to grab my package, she didn't let me back in and I was pretty frustrated given the fact that I drove from east Oakland through traffic to get there and then not get my package. Doors were locked and had told me better luck tomorrow we are officially closed and past regular hours while 2 other people were still in there picking up packages. I'm beyond frustrated with the FedEx location on Pardee drive here in Oakland, CA The first time I received a door tag for my phone it said on the door tag that "This form and a government issued I.D. are required for pick-up" it didn't say anything about my I.D. needing to match my address. So I go all the way there in an Uber that costed me 35 dollars and I waited in line for 15 minutes and once I got to the front I noticed a make-shift sign reading "All of the following are required for pick-up of phones from Verizon and At&t" and handwritten words on it reading "Must match I.D." I was next in line and the lady started to ring me up and then asked if my I.D. matches and I said no. I told her my I.D. has always had my parents address on it but that my door tag even had my name written on it and here's my I.D. proving that I'm Heather Cantrell. She said she wouldn't release it to me. I said that maybe she should suggest to the company that the door tag says that I need my address to match before people come all the way out here just to read that on a dam sign in the actual store. I left and called FedEx the next day and after speaking with a lady from the tech support about setting up a CONVENIENT delivery time she said I could do it online but in the meantime she said and I quote "If you bring in proof of your address they will let you get your phone. Bring your apartment lease in with you" I said "Are you absolutely positive that I can do that"? She said "I am absolutely positive you can" I went online to set up a delivery time and I could not figure out for the life of me (after 30 minutes on your website) where the heck the button is that offers me a time frame for delivery. It was no where to be found and if it was, it was super inconveniently hidden or phrased as something else. So today, Saturday, I get another Uber for the $35 trip back to the store with my lease in hand, to pick up my phone again and Lowe and behold the same dam lady is there. I thought to myself "Dammit!!!!" So I approach her as politely as possible and explained to her what I had discussed with the person from FedEx over the phone and i showed her my lease, BOTH of my doortags with my name on it, and my government issued I.D. with; you guessed it, my NAME on it. She said let me look up your account. So she looks it up and says that there are no notes in my account or anything which I don't see why that would matter or how it's relevant but whatever, and then she says that she won't be releasing MY ($800) phone to me. I asked for a manager and she got him. He was very polite and seemed genuinely concerned and asked if my lease has my drivers license number on it and while I was looking for it she literally grabs the sign from in front of my face and shows it to him and I said "why are you trying so hard to make him not give me my phone, i know what the sign says, i can READ" and she just said "Thank You" in the most bitchy voice possible and that put some sort of pressure on him to the point where he just had to tell me that he can't release my phone to me. I told him all it comes down to is proving I live there and i proved it, but still no.He was probably going to give it to me until the crazy lady went out of her way to prevent me from giving me my phone, it's like what the hell did I ever do to her! The worst customer service I have ever received in my life. I went home and cried for at least 3 seconds just out of severe frustration. I know that sounds dramatic but it was crazy everything I went through to get my phone and being turned down over what a crappy half handwritten sign says! I'm literally going to have to take Monday off just to wait at my house for the delivery driver. The delivery drivers just give whatever package it is to whomever answers your door and scribbles down a signature. If it's that easy to get my phone from the delivery driver at my house why is it so freaking hard to pick it up from the actual store. I'm so so so disappointed with the service I received. I ordered a TV and a game system through FedEx unfortunately took a really long time to get the t.v. almost a week longer to arrive in retrospect I should have just send it to us postal service I waited two days then I waited another day in total 3 days after they said it was going to be delivered unfortunately I'm unhappy customer they made an excuse that it was the holiday season but shouldn't they prepare for that anyways I'm sure they could fix it if they wanted to. read more

This place is slower than the post office. Omg I didn't know that was possible. I came in and was first in line and waited more than 1 hour for them to bring me my package from the back. If I knew it was gonna take so long, I would've brought my Rubik's cube. Make sure you bring proof of address and photo ID to pick up a package, in addition to the door tag and tracking number (and next of kin). And did I mention rude? At times you can visit a business at closing and your service is rushed, dry or down-right rude. Hey it's understandable we all would like to get to our families. I walked into FedEx with two boxes that were not taped, addressed and haphazardly packaged due to rushing to FedEx before it was closed. It is 15 minutes to closing and the store had a few customers ahead of me. I watched the mail clerk not only greet each guest but also act warm towards them. She also had to remain professional when a customer was irritated because he didn't have the proper identification. He wasn't happy that he couldn't get his package at first but he left fully understanding the company's customer identification verification policies. It is 5pm finally my turn. The clerk treated my Son and I as tho it was 3pm. She helped me make shipping decisions and assisted with preparing the packages for shipping. I think her manager was wondering if we were ever going to leave. After a friendly exchange I asked the clerks name. Her name was Olga! Thanks again Olga! I see that the reviews on this business are average if FedEx wants to turn this around promote her to staff training and development. She is definitely an asset! read more

I have never had such hard time getting a package delivered. I have been going back and forth with them for 3 days ( April 29th and 30th and today). They keep saying that the package is not delivered because they require a gate access code. So I called on Monday to give them the code, then I was told on the phone that they have no way of getting the code to the driver... so they request I provide my phone number which they can give to the driver... So I did... Then come Tuesday, the same story again.. package not delivered due to missing access code. Then I get on the phone again them I'm told "we do not give our drivers cell phones"...to cut the story short, I open a claim (# 0430962301)as well as a case (ID 0430963594) on Tuesday and while doing so I provided the gate access code...BUT the same story again today...I had to get on the phone again with fedeX customers service as well as Tania (who works in this ship center) to have them attempt another delivery today... Which fail flat once again. I was promised the package by 8 PM today... Now to make sure I do not miss the delivery person I stood outside the gate on the streets from 7:32 PM to 8 PM on the dot and no one showed up.. Then sure enough at 8:08 according to the tracker online, the package was delivered and the gate access was needed...WOW just WOW.. I've gotten so frustrated that I had to call amazon and cancel my order because I could not take it anymore...I have been pretty much playing tag with Fedex over 3 days... and the most frustrating thing Is that what I was expecting is a crib in which our baby is supposed to sleep... Also I might add that a notice of missed delivery attempt was not left at the gate neither today nor yesterday... There you have it! read more

This review is long overdue. I use this fedex location a lot for work. Every time I come into the store Olga always has the biggest smile on her face and is always very kind and helpful. She can make any bad day a good day! She is always trying to go above and behind to help me out and to make sure that I leave there happy ( which I always do with her personality and smile that is contagious) I have been in the store when there is a gentleman working and he is always very rude and never happy. One time he got upset that he didn't get what I was wanting to do and stated he couldn't do it. At that moment Olga didn't let me leave until what I wanted to do was done. She goes above and beyond. Fifteen people are all standing around the line area waiting for our packages because there is only one agent working and she is to wait for a colleague to appear before she can go to the back. Fifteen minutes and counting and her colleague has only made a cameo to say she had to "move her car" and would be right back. I live in San Leandro my zip code is 94578 the truck reads Federal Express Ground it's independent this driver has a tendency to throw everything anywhere when your front yard the grass the walkway never gets it on the porch. I'm sick and tired of it I do have a small wrought iron brick around my front with two gates this driver can open the gate put the items on the porch and close the gate very simple but he's so damn lazy but he just throws it anywhere he wishes and it lands at lands whether it's raining or hot sun or whatever I know your ground or Independent Drivers that on their trucks I guess you can say stuff like that well they're making a bad name for you here in my area that's for sure this lazy driver needs to be reprimanded for he needs to be gone he doesn't know what's in these boxes and what can break when it's on the loan anybody could walk by and pick it up it's ridiculous, United Parcel delivers the box to buy Forge ring the doorbell and knocked in the stairs UPS he walks down the two stairs closes the gate and he's on his way there's times that I have my front door open and I always tell him thank you very much and thanks for your service. The 2 stars basically say it all. I would absolutely avoid this place like the plague. Service is dreadfully slow, and the 1.5 employees (never saw both of them working at the same time) that were there are completely incompetent. I had to wait an hour on top of everything, because I forgot my door tag, and apparently in order for them to look up a package by name takes a whole other type of mastery. It's simply getting harder and harder to find adequate costumer service, and this business the epitome of just that. read more

FEDEX is the absolute worst way to deliver a package. I was sent baseball tickets via FEDEX and the driver went to the wrong address. FEDEX told me I would have to go all the way out to Oakland to pick them up even though it was his mistake. I told the agent it's your drivers fault you redeliver. He then told me they would call me back by 1pm 2 hours later nothing. I called back now they don't even know if I'll get the tickets today. So I'm out my tickets but I can file a complaint so the shipping is refunded to the sender. Wow thanks for nothing the tickets are worth twenty times that. Please everyone stop shipping with FEDEX they're the absolute worst. They shouldn't be in business. read more
