I've come to this location for years to print shipping labels as a seller or as a shopper needing to return some items. I guess I refuse to own a printer, but they're so reliable. I'm reviewing today just based on customer service. I've never had a bad experience, but today was above and beyond as it saved me some time at the post office and a little bit of money at FedEx. I printed my shipping label as usual and headed to the shipping materials area of the store and picked up some tape. I needed it for the label and to reseal the package. I'm at the counter and the sales associate asked if I just needed the tape for the label and I said yes. She told me I could just use some of the store's tape, and she gave me a label protector to stick on the package and add the label to. She really saved me so much time. I went to the post office who has a long line currently - the line isn't long but it's being held up - and went to a window to drop my return items off. It doesn't take much to impress me, but because she saved so much time and was very kind I had to leave a review. Thank you! read more

I've been here twice so far, one time to drop off a package that contained some biological materials and then again more recently to pick up a package which I'd requested to be held at this location since I wasn't going to be at home for the original delivery time that FedEx notified me of. Both times I didn't have to wait in line at all, and I think I was helped by the same representative both times, so I wish in hindsight I'd caught their name since they were friendly and efficient. I was able to confirm quickly that it was no problem for this FedEx location to take the first shipment (it was for a medical study) in case anyone else needs to ship something that contains biohazard materials. It was also quick for me to present my ID and the last 4 digits of the tracking number for me to get my held package the 2nd time, all I had to do with sign to confirm I received it. I was pleased with this, since the last time I had asked for a FedEx shipment to be held at a location, I'd picked the Walgreens on Broadway in downtown Oakland which is very close by just because Walgreens had longer open hours, but that ended up being a huge headache and a lot of back and forth for over a week to confirm what happened to my package, so I found the experience much better at this actual FedEx location. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]When I asked how to cancel the shipment, they claimed not to know and referred me to the 800#. It turns out, if you don't drop off the package, you're not charged. They knew that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They just got a bang out of making sure that this middle aged lady who arrived out of breath and kept nervously looking out the window at the FedEx truck, hoping against hope that I would still be able to get my package to the truck, would definitely miss her filing deadline.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So, guess who has two thumbs and is driving six hours tonight to deliver the package by my filing deadline tomorrow? I hope they're pleased with themselves because I am devastated. I've come to this Fedex location several times to print things and return packages and my experience has been overall positive. I came to return a pillow and had to print out a bunch of return labels and slips and the lady at the front was nice enough to do it for me free of charge. The other time I came to print things, you should have the document ready on your email because u email a fedex email that will then send you a code that you type into the printer! read more

Came here to make a copy/fax pages and staff was pretty unhelpful. One was trying to help, the other clearly did not want to engage with customers. It's a pre-pay/self service printer which makes you load money up. It was my first time using a sophisticated printer, so I lost about 35 bucks trying to use it. I'm pretty sure the employees did not know how to use it either, as the machine stopped working and the girl recommended I go somewhere else. If you need help copying/printing/faxing, would recommend going to "pro copy and printing" down the street. I was in and out in a couple minutes, with a very helpful gentleman working there. read more

I ordered a package to be overnighted to me because I needed the item ASAP and in case it was wrong I had time to re order before leaving town. Obviously overnighted means you need it asap. It arrived at the Oakland hub at 4:35am on the 1st. They held it at their location, instead of delivering it for two days. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When they finally attempted to deliver it, I mentioned to the driver i wasn't home but to please leave it at the door. Not only did the driver not do that but he refused to leave it leaving a note saying I had to be present.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had it redirected. When I received the package four days past when it was due to arrive, no where did it mention a signature was required or I had to be present. Location gets the 4 stars, and all the machines are up to date and pretty self explanatory. I appreciate being able to easily obtain a FedEx card to load cash on to pay for my services (fax, copy,print). There is also the option to pay by credit card when using self service machines. There are two fax machines available, and two large self service printers that have Dropbox, Google Drive and Cloud services linked for easy printing. No USB needed. If you are having trouble logging into the above accounts there is a store email that you can have documents printing from by one of the associates. Passports, shipping, stationary, pens, ink, web and Microsoft access, FedEx is your all in one stop for handling your paper business. Service is pretty so so but they work in a printing and shipping store so how charismatic could they be. read more

On 3/14/2024 My company credit card was charged $12,114.77 for a shipment FedEx admits they never picked up on 8/18/2023! I've disputed the three tracking numbers on the invoice since 3/14/2024 and I am getting nowhere. I'm issued a case number only for it to be closed at a later date with no explanation. FedEx trains their representatives to lie to customers to get them off the phone. I've been told countless times someone would reach out to me with a status update, yet I never receive a call. Today is 5/29/2024 and FedEx is wrongfully holding $12k of our working capital. My FedEx Representative doesn't respond, customer support doesn't respond, Billing doesn't respond. At this point it is a quality issue because we believe we are being lied to. Our shipment is heavily regulated. We are required to report shipping issues to the government agency that oversees our type of shipments. I'm wasted countless hours addressing this only to be lied to. Disgraceful way to treat a customer. read more

I really like that this place is open later than the post office and is the only place that I could find open after 2 here in Oakland that would send my package on a Saturday! Literally I was driving all over trying to mail off a package and I couldn't find anything that was open not even UPS which online their hours said they were open until 5:30 but that must have been a misprint because they were closed. Thankfully FedEx came to the rescue! The lady who helped me was so sweet and so patient! She explained all the alternatives to sending my package and how much each option would cost and how long it would take. She was very friendly and I give her a A++ rating on customer service. My only regret is I forgot her name so I can't give her a personal shout out. However I still recommend this Fedex especially if your in a bind and it's after 5 because they are open until 6pm!! Addendum: I recall that the clerk didn't show me the rates that she was looking up. Prior to this, when I sent a package at the same facility, I was shown the rates. While it's not something I require, it does show some sort of courtesy. 9/3/19 I go to Bay Area Shipping, also in Oakland, and the clerk shows me the rates on her computer and gets me a reasonable rate that just happens to be under Fedex; a rate much lower than what I was given a few days prior in the actual Fedex facility. read more

Everyone has bad days and I get that and don't bother with bad reviews, but today was beyond anything I have ever experienced -- as in viral-video awful. It ended with the customer service rep throwing pens at my head. Literally. All I needed was to make a few photocopies. Should have been the easiest thing, but the copy-card dispenser was out of cards. I was dreading having to speak with the person behind the counter because she was surly and annoyed for having to be there at all -- and that was obvious before I said a word to her. I waited several minutes while she ignored me. When I finally tried to ask about getting a card, she stopped me mid-sentence to say that she'd get to me later. There were back-and-forths with not one but two cards that were unreadable by the machine. I wasn't in a hurry so the needless delay wasn't half as bad as the open hostility. So how much rudeness are you supposed to be okay with? I asked for her name. Answer: "You don't need to know it." Well, the question is pretty standard for corporate complaints. No name provided, so the next best thing is a photo, provided here. That really set her off, too, and so the pens came flying along with, "Don't ever come back here." As if. I did call corporate too, and I have to say that they seemed genuinely apologetic and mortified. They said they were likely going to review in-store video. I'm sure that will be some great viewing. Oh well. Maybe if it somehow gets out, it will go viral after all. read more

Fed Ex used to be here. now kinko's is also here but it's not called fed Ex kinko's either. it's Fedex office & print center. go figure. I had to return a phone to ayala. that could have picked up by fed ex. dropping it in a fed ex box was not an option since that's reserved for express packages. long story short. dropped it off to avoid screwups on the pick up. the peter principle and murphy's law are absolutes in my workplace only one person was at fed ex. dropped off the package. and got a receipt as proof just in case. such an effiecient operation! big contrast to my work environment. read more

A year ago, I would've given this place 4 or 5 stars. Why the change to 1 star? Let me tell you: I usually come here only to have my scrapbook bound. A scrapbook is something that holds lots of memories and meaning and is very difficult or near impossible to recreate. It doesn't take a genius to realize that much care should be taken when handling such an item. That aside, I realize how much of a challenge it is to ask someone to bind something that holds so much value when all they've been doing is making simple copies etc on a regular day's work. The biggest challenge is figuring out the binding size because my pages are not the typical 8x11". But the one guy I always trusted my book with always did an amazing job! He took so much care and time and even tried to be creative about it to make it look good. Considering what he had to work with, he gave me 5 star quality. Unfortunately, he recently transferred to another location. I had to trust my book in the hands of another person who had no clue what to do with it. She was incompetent and completely careless with my book!! She tore several of the pages and claimed that it was bound to tear anyway over time with the binding I had chosen. I was like watching a surgery go all wrong as I watched her ruin my scrapbook. She tried to rush through the process and obviously didn't like the project/challenge she was given. Took much longer than it should have because she had to keep fixing all the mistakes she was making. It goes without saying, I was deeply unsatisfied and almost angry with her. Come on lady, it's a scrapbook, so treat it with some decency! read more

I love all of the workers, especially Kelly, but today I went in and as I was being helped, I witnessed a worker named Ian giving a young girl flack for not having a Government issued ID... She had her school ID, and was shipping something to that school. She stated that she did not have govt issue, because she was only 17. He just got angry at her and kept talking to her like she was a problem instead of a customer that he was happy to help. It made me uncomfortable to watch a young girl get bullied like that at my local store. This was at approximately 4:20 on April 20, 2021. He was dressed as a manager and if he is, I don't want to see him again because of how he treated this young girl. read more

I was having an emergency. I was setting up for a convention over at the convention center and one of my over head signs holding system broke. I had to brainstorm and I had to fix it fast. It had to be with in walking distance to get some type of supplies to fix this problem. I yelped it, of course and FedEx popped up. So I ran over here to see what they had in regards to affixing signage. The guys working were so helpful! We all brainstormed together and came up with a Velcro system that they sell in store. I really feel for the people who work here - everyone, myself included, come here totally stressed out about getting the package sent in time, or the print job done by the deadline. The staff manage to be calming and reassuring, although it's sometimes so crowded that by the time you get far enough up in line to talk to them, you've wigged yourself out. I've never picked up a poorly done print or lamination job from here, but I have been frustrated by wait time and problematic machines. read more
