Kaci explained that All of Texas Moving has a different pricing model that's based on the items to be moved instead of hourly minimums plus huge travel fees. All in, my price with All of Texas Moving - including them driving to Austin to pick up my stuff just to turn around and bring it to Temple - was significantly lower than any of the quotes I got from moving companies in Austin. No hidden fees, no hourly minimums, no travel costs - just a flat rate based on the items I needed to move. The guys showed promptly at 8am Friday morning and had everything loaded up and ready to go by 8:45. They arrived at my new house before I did and were already unloading the truck when I got there. Everything was done by 11am, and the price I paid was exactly the price Kaci had quoted. I highly recommend All of Texas Moving. Unlike the big corporate chains, their prices are fair and transparent, and it feels good to support a local, family-owned business. The delivery and pick up was so fast and easy, and having to unload the boxes within a certain amount of time ended up being beneficial for not procrastinating unpacking. The best part was that many of the boxes are the same shape, so I was able to find efficiencies in packing because I had an idea of how much could fit into one box after doing the first few. The movers loved them because they are easy to stack, and it saves them time by not having to carry a ton of small/different sized boxes back and forth.
