THEY WILL STEAL YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT - they agreed in writing to a specific amount, but then instead of posting that balance, they charged me an exstra $800. I've been trying to get in touch with them to correct the amount, or provide an explanation, and instead of ever replying back, they sent the $800 charge to collections to try to ruin my credit, even though they can't provide any proof that these charges are valid. THEY ARE CROOKS - NEVER LIVE HERE. They will raise prices on your parking with barely any notice in the middle of your lease. Don't believe anything they tell you and make sure you get everything in writing, on a signed lease, and keep it for your records. They will make false promises to get you to sign a lease and then not follow through with them. Also my car got broken into, while parked in their "secure" garage, and they didn't have any security cameras to capture the incident. They will also say they are implementing a new policy on a specific date, but then nothing happens. False promises and poor management all around. read more

DO. NOT. MOVE. HERE. If I could give it negative 1000 stars I would. Firstly, leasing will be THEE most unhelpful when moving in. They will not show up to your scheduled tour, and you will not be able to contact them to try to get your showing even if you call the higher up management at Canon Management. Once you are moved in, the management will continue to just disappear. I had a $150 late fee for concessions (free month of rent) which made zero sense considering there was no rent to pay. I emailed management about it and did not hear back from them for 10 days. So I responded to my own email to reach out again. It wasn't until a week after that email that I got a response simply stating "the system does that sometimes" like huh?!?! Secondly, your packages WILL (not maybe they WILL) be either stolen or totally ripped open, just depending on if the regular thieves think they can find use in your packages. As well, because of how these idiots run the place the delivery people using the call box to get in to deliver can only be let into one door to the outdoor courtyard but not the door to the lobby to properly deliver the package. So it will be left outside in the courtyard to be even easier to steal! How nice of them! And instead of finding better solutions to the package thieving problem they will simply just print up a blurry black and white photo of the "package thief" wearing a mask and just write "PACKAGE THIEF". Considering rent is $3300 for a two bedroom it seems like they could afford security to sit at the desk THAT IS ALREADY THERE IN THE LOBBY READY TO BE USED. But at the end of the day the package thieves could even be your own neighbor! They let anyone move here. Truly. Also don't be fooled by the locking doors anyone can get in anyway! Multiple units have had attempted or successful break-ins. How safe for a young female living alone! Lastly, although the building was only built a few years ago it is already falling apart with multiple units leaking (maintenance told me it was a multi unit problem). Speaking of maintenance, I will say they are probably what gives this place that one star I am forced to give them. The maintenance is actually the best part of the place. Very respectful, nice, and actually tries their best with what they have to resolve the issues. But guess why maintenance is so good. Because it's a whole separate system not associated with management! Overall, SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT LIVE HERE OR THINK ABOUT LIVING HERE!!!! Don't be fooled by the pretty lobby and clean looking new units THIS IS RUN BY A TERRIBLE COMPANY AND YOU WILL SUFFER GREATLY LIVING HERE!!! read more

UPDATE: Unfortunately there has been no update. I've stopped by the leasing office (right after writing my original review), called Fedora numerous times, even reached out to Cannon Management, and still nothing. I've been getting the runaround that someone will email me or call me and I have not received any update whatsoever. I STILL do not have a breakdown of what my deposit was used for. There has been no resolution and absolutely no communication from FedoraxTrilby. Extremely upsetting and disappointing. I just hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

I recently toured this apartment it looks nice , but BEWARE but do not put in a security deposit for a unit unless you are absolutely sure you will be moving in because you might not get it back. ..It's been over a month and half I've called and made multiple emails. The manager Jake , he responded saying that it would be sent back after my many failed attempts of calling and getting no return back it's already super difficult to get anyone on the phone here so imagine them trying to keep your 300 security deposit and not being able to get in communication with anyone from the the entire building I've heard of places stealing people security deposits and never trying to return them I just didn't imagine this place would be one of them careful!! Toured with Jake, the general manager, and what can I say, he's AMAZING. The vibes, the aura, the energy he projects are all so vibrant. He's incredibly easy to talk to, like chatting with your bestie, not some intimidating manager. He was super attentive to my needs and answered every question I had without ever making me feel like a burden. I absolutely LOVE his vibe! If you don't want to have problems, don't live here. Firstly, your package may get lost. Secondly, the manager never helps, no matter what; she never answers the phone. You always have to keep evidence, especially since they change managers frequently. Thirdly, the tenants aren't secure; I had a tenant hit my car and run, giving fake information, so I had to cover the damage myself. Lastly, there's sometimes no security. Last December, someone tried to enter my room, and I had to call the police. The apartment didn't even call me to update me on the situation. These are the reasons you shouldn't consider living here because at this price point, I guarantee you can find a better place." Update 04/2024 I moved out almost 4 months ago, but I still haven't received my deposit back. The management's response has been extremely poor. I'm so excited, I just had a tour of the property with DeAngelo and Eric and the lobby caught my eye and then I heard this friendly bubbly man greet us with so much excitement and he was soooooo welcoming. my daughter found this ad on Ticktock through Hottest Rentals in LA. My daughter is awesome with the searches online. We had been looking for a while and couldn't find everything that we wanted so we found ourself having to compromise but NOT TODAY.!!! We found an apartment that is above and beyond everything that was on our list...the views from our new apartment reminded me of San Francisco, Thank you so very much DeAngelo, Manager and Eric, Agent for make my heart sing today and giving me a peace of mind that only God could bring us through you both. read more

A few months later, but we thankfully received a $500 check back for our application fee. Though I still think it's pretty ridiculous that we had to go through all of the extra effort to get back an apartment application fee (a steep one at that), I'm appreciative that they were able to return it back to us all this time later. read more

This complex is poorly managed. After moving out I was given a statement with zero balance. Weeks later I was contacted by debt collection agency that I owed over $2000. When I contacted Fedora x Trilby I was told that they had made an accounting error. They did not call me themselves to tell me about their error. I had to hear from the debt collector. Any self-respecting, honest business would call a customer about such a glaring error, but not Fedora x Trilby. Also beware that leases are longer than 12 months and there are significant penalties for early termination. Please consider these facts before leasing with Fedora x Trilby. I am sure that there are choices with better management. read more

1 out of 10 would NOT recommend... Living here for the last 16 days has been complete and total TRASH. I relocated to Los Angeles from Atlanta prior to stepping foot on the grounds of this property, I did a virtual tour with the former General Manager... Well, I'm guessing they must have only shown the Trilby cause the Fedora is horrible. I officially arrived to the building and signed my lease and moved in on 2/3/2024 and since that day I've been living a complete and total nightmare. From the moment you walk on the 6th Floor of the Fedora you smell pet urine. The hallway smells totally disgusting, I purchased glade plug-ins and carpet deodorizer to help with the smell but it's not helping. On 2/5/2024, my ceiling started leaking due to all of the rain that Southern California; I called the emergency hotline and I took them official 2 days (after several phone calls) to respond to emergency phone call request. Finally, the maintenance manager (Angel) whom never received my request until second day comes to assist (he's great). He comes into the unit to takes a look at my ceiling and explains to me that they he has professional coming to preform repair work on-site and I would be added to the list. I asked if he could have management call me since I just moved in and I need to know what is going to be done. On the 9th I receive a call from Christian the Manager to tell me that a restoration team had been dispatched to help with the issue. He explained that they would arrive on Saturday morning sometime and I had been added to a list. Never was I offered the option to be moved to a different unit. However, he did tell me that I could file a claim with my insurance to be placed in a hotel. The next day a restoration team indeed comes to assess the area and confirms water and moisture damage in the ceiling. Monday 2/12 they came and removed a huge chunk of the ceiling and plug up heater and moisture removers, came back 48 hours later and I haven't seen them since.... Now, it's officially 2/19 and it's raining again, and it's also now raining in my apartment again... I hate it here... I still haven't heard from anyone from management. Horrible Management Company.... read more

The thing that makes an apartment a "Home" is the people...Delise in the on property management office was amazing in helping my buddy Chris and I find the perfect apartment to fit our needs and budget. She really made what can be a stressful time, easy and even enjoyable...cannot thank her enough for that. And wow, this newly renovated building has everything...secure entry, secure underground parking, amazing lobby with cozy fireplace with lots of comfortable seating, large tv and games too! There is even an awesome rooftop patio with lots of seating and a fire feature which is perfect with this weather. There is even a really nicely equipped gym complete with all the basics as well as a boxing/punching bag. Another cool thing is the art/graphics in the gym and then the coolest pop art covering the entire walls of the elevator area on each floor. Lastly, location...Koreatown is central to downtown/hollywood/beaches...the area has lots to offer in dining and shopping and most things you need are either within walking distance OR a Lime scooter ride away (you can find these all over and you can even sometimes find some out front of the apartment gates and even leave them out front as well! So convenient and so much fun.) I highly recommend Fedora x Trilby...thank you Delise!!!! (and while i didn't get to deal with Kasey much, he was so helpful and awesome too!) A+++ read more

First week living here, and I can say that so far it's been great! Christian and Davneet are angels and answered any questions I had, and they helped me with a few hiccups along the way as well! The apartment inside is so nice and there is garage parking but you will be put onto the waitlist for a spot. In the meantime they have you park in a parking structure down the street! read more

We have been in contact with this complex since May and still have not received our deposit back. We are promised clear communication regarding this issue and have not heard back after 20+ exchanged emails and calls. We have spoke to several managers through their tenure and have yet to get a simple check back. Their team does not know how to follow through. read more

I moved in a few weeks ago, and the manager Kacey goes above and beyond and has been super helpful and responsive to emails. Also, maintenance is great, there was a minor issue with my closet door and someone came by to fix it literally the day after I submitted the request. read more
