I've been living at Radius Apartments for over 2 1/2 years, and honestly, it's been a great experience. I haven't had any issues or disappointments during my time here. The community is quiet, well-maintained, and I truly feel safe and comfortable calling it home. I want to give a big thank you to everyone on the team--from the office staff to the maintenance crew. Everyone is always friendly, respectful, and helpful. Whenever I've needed assistance, they've been quick to respond and always willing to help. I also want to give a special shout-out to David. Ever since he joined Radius, every interaction I've had with him has been positive. He's approachable, kind, professional, and really takes the time to listen. If there's ever a question or concern, he handles it quickly and makes sure it's taken care of. You can tell David genuinely cares about the residents and wants Radius to be a great place to live. I'm not the type to leave bad reviews, but unfortunately after many attempts to remedy the situation it's just not getting better. It takes our dryer 5 full hours to dry a load of cloths. Our energy bill for the last 2 YEARS has been insane because of how long it takes. Not to mention the ROACHES found in my apartment on the 6th floor. I reached out to them about it and nobody responded. We've been putting request for this dryer in for two years and they just keep gaslighting us. They literally asked me how wash clothes to see if I knew what I was doing. I absolutely hate that I have to leave a negative review to get someone to actually help us with this issue but now we've spent probably an additional 1k+ on utilities from this dryer. Roaches!! Trash charges can range up to $50 a month. Maintenance request can take up to a week to be fulfilled. When I first moved in the WiFi password didn't work I had to still pay for it. Not a lot of guest parking. Wouldn't recommend. Money hungry and take advantage of tenants. read more

Zach has gone above and beyond to help out his clientele. I walked directly into the front office when there were around 3-4 other people to be helped and he still managed to maintain composure, professionalism and attention to detail. He is clearly hardworking however I would like to add that he severely needs an assistant and/or other team members to help him that are qualified for the type of work that he does. Not only that but he deserves a raise too. The only reason why I didn't give this a 5 star review is because Zach works too hard by himself. I say this out of concern for his well being. This place was great. The amenities were the best in the area. I toured with Jenny and she was extremely helpful. Everything I was concerned with she explained and basically answered every question, and was very nice even though I didn't really know anything about the area or the complex. Although I ultimately didn't end up becoming a tenant here due to my own personal circumstances (budget and location), Jenny recommended me to other communities around the area that fit my needs. When I first moved in a year ago all seemed well. Since then the complex has gone through multiple rounds of cost cutting. We were told our internet service was being upgraded. Instead we went from have individual modems to a "community network" with access points around the building. This has resulted in slower speeds for all residents and management has done nothing but brush it off. IF YOU RELY ON INTERNET DO NOT MOVE HERE. My packages have been stolen and maintenance requests have taken longer to get to. For what they are charging this experience it not worth it. I have been lived here for almost 1 year. I used to live at the apartment complex, K2LA right next to Radius on New Hampshire Ave. Just like to point out some facts. The rent seems reasonable, but when adding up fees like parking $150/month, cable $80 and pet rent $45, my total monthly rent for one-bedroom apartment goes up to $2650. Even though I pay that amount of money, I had a really bad experience. Two parking garage break-ins happened in 688 building within 2 months. More than 15 cars' windows were broken. And in fact the management team did nothing after the first incident happened. No wonder it happened again. No courtesy patrol at night. K2LA at least has securities every night. I know it totally depends if you feel safe or not, but I believe having someone on-site should be provided especially when there were already crimes happened. If you live in 688 building, you need to go to 680 to pick up your packages which is inconvenient. And other resident had picked up mine and accidentally opened it. The amenities like gym, conference room and rooftop lounge are closed during the pandemic. I have once locked out myself at night. Called maintenance team and they said have called the technician. I've waited for 2 hours and made several phone calls again but no one showed up. I ended up finding locksmith by myself. Overall, I would not recommend it for those who are looking for a nice place to stay. There are so many apartments out there, and you can always have a better option. read more

I've been living here for three years. The best part of this complex is by far the employees who are actually on-site. Andrew is a king. Toni, Zach, Mati, and Joseph are also very helpful. (And they're fantastic to my pup, which is a bonus.) I just wish I was happier with the decisions and actions of corporate management. I say this as someone who has only gone on a tour of the property and not as someone who has lived there. I was greeted by Zach Bane and he has the best customer service that I've experienced I'm a while. His directions for the self guided tour were very clear and after the tour he was open and willing to answer any questions that I had. I didn't get to see the unit I was actually interested in due to availability, but the units I did see were nice; but it was the first time I have ever heard of a Jr. 1 bedroom apartment. I never really leave reviews on yelp but it has gotten to the point where I am spending so much time and energy to find my stolen packages. Which I have not gotten back on any of them. There is a community chat and multiple residents have also complained about stolen packages and there much needed medication also being stolen. I have asked the management team multiple time to review cameras and to see if they can let us know who is taking the packages or if they can hold it in their office. With the emails I have sent I still have not received a response back. I have been here for only 4 months and I have had 6 packages stolen. So this said a lot about how the management team does nothing to stop the problem or find a solution. Since I have moved in also asked to have my refrigerator filter replaced or how I can go about it to get it fixed and they still have not gotten back to me even with several follow up emails and also in person I asked as well. They said they will let me know and follow up which still has not happened. Parking is also an issue with other random people parking in your spot when you pay for it. It has happened multiple times since I moved in. There should be signage on the wall for which spot has been taken for residents. Ex: Put reserved on the wall or open up the spaces as soon as you pull into the garage so people are not parking in residential parking. read more

If you're looking for your rent to go up TWENTY ONE PERCENT after your first year ($2445 to $2969 for a 1br), Radius (or any Equity Apartments building) is your spot! Oh, and this is after a year filled with rampant package theft and garage break-ins, as well as the only available (i.e. required) internet plan being the building's $80/mo plan. The renewals team will say it's because of market rates and competition in the area, which is convenient when Equity owns a lot of the buildings in the area and are their own competition~ Parking is also $150/spot, just so people can factor that in when looking at their listed "base rents" read more

This is the second holiday weekend where our water heater has been broken and have not had any communication from management of when the expected time of resolving the issue. Elevator and garage was broken all the time for the longest (finally the past few weeks they've been better about it). THE LIST GOES ON. I lived here for 3 years. When I first moved in, I loved it. The building, the unit, management, amenities--everything. It was great! But then, they slowly started getting rid of some services like parcel pending and on site security, etc then it only got worse from there. I'm giving it two stars because I'm not gonna lie, I loved living here. The community is relatively safe and friendly and the neighbors are nice. I made some great memories living here. But, here's all the cons. Equity residential is your typical greedy real estate investment company and they will nickel and dime you for all you got. Whatever rent they show you, add about $400-$500 extra on top for "concession" fees, mandatory community network, parking is $150 to $250 if you're by a ev charger, and they will increase your rent as much as they can each lease renewal. They literally charge you for everything. Security deposit? Forget about it. I lived here for 3 years and typically, you can't get charged for painting if it's normal wear and tear. Well I got charged both painting and cleaning (I cleaned the apartment-but they said the only way to not get charged is if I use a vendor to professionally clean the place). Not to mention, if you question these things, they stop responding. As a matter of fact, anytime you question them, they will stop responding. All in all, the place was nice and comfortable. But management will nickel and dime you and penalize you for everything. Whatever your rent is, add another $500 and that's the total price you're paying. Also, expect package theft, break in's and storage theft and consider it a loss because they won't help you. They act very helpful, but that's it. An act. read more

It is with regret that I recount my highly unsatisfactory experience at the Radius Apartments. A place that promised comfort and community turned out to be anything but. Firstly, the maintenance of the community leaves much to be desired. The overall upkeep was simply lackluster. Despite several complaints, I found the issues persisting, which clearly indicates a lack of concern or initiative from the management. Speaking of management, their handling of the property has been incredibly disappointing. The staff seems to lack both the necessary skills and motivation to perform their roles adequately. Their attitude and response towards the issues raised were extremely unprofessional and unsatisfactory, making it increasingly clear that perhaps a change of occupation would be advisable for them. Living at the Radius Apartments, especially under the current management, has been an unfortunate experience. I strongly urge potential tenants to carefully consider their options before choosing to reside here. This place needs significant improvements in both its community upkeep and management before it can offer a comfortable living environment. The washing/dryer machine sucks and breaks down every so often where I've already had it serviced twice, the other times im too tired to even bother to call them but definitely more than twice the machines arent working properly. There are built in speakers here that I have asked since ky DAY OF MOVE IN to help set it up or help tell me how to set it up via in person to manager Jenny, via email to her AND JASON, and still a month later has not yet been resolved for me. (You ask for anything here it doesn't get resolved until they feel like it and make time. You'd think as a new tenant they would want to be on their shit and do things in a timely AND professional manner but not the case at all. Very impressive!! NOT) This place is a joke and Jason is the cherry on top for a joke. Rip off for thing's promised of what you are paying for and half of everything never works!!! The $80 wifi sucks, $150 for your car to be welcomed for bums to walk in, and 2k for a unit with built in speakers that come along with rent that was never set up. Im over this place already. I lived at Radius for about 1.5 years before cutting my lease early. It was the worst experience I ever had in living situations. And prior to this, I lived in Macarthur Park area full of crackheads, hookers and gang members. PROBLEM 1 In order to access the building or your room, it requires and electric key fob. If the office closes and you accidentally lock yourself out, there is about a 80% chance no one is there to help you get inside. Security is rarely available although during the tour, they promise they are there to help us if we get locked out. They force us to pay renters insurance, but that doesn't include being covered if you are locked out. They tell you to call a locksmith which YOU have to pay for. Keep in mind, the doors lock automatically if they close. So if you need to take out the trash, and you slip and forget your keys, you're stuck. And this happened multiple times where I had to find places to sleep. And the staff here is really good at telling you its your fault for anything that goes wrong here. PROBLEM 2 Barely anything works. The keypad doesn't work outside so you have to physically get EVERY guest or delivery. The fire pits rarely work and the bbq pits are frequently broken as well. (Keep in mind we pay for these amenities). The computer will sometimes be password locked and the workers don't even know how to bypass it. PROBLEM 3 I had to call the police 4 times because a neighbors dog bit my dog. They denied it and apparently, this apartment complex has NO cameras that are useful for catching these actions. Take into consideration this happened RIGHT infant of the 688 building. And there is no camera. Even the police officer was confused. The management had me run around driving to police stations and calling officers saying that they will only help me locate the people who's dog bit my dog if i call a officer. When a officer came, they turned him down and then said only if animal control comes. Animal control then said they don't do those visits. When I attempted to confront the residents, Michelle and some tall well over 6 ft white male followed me out. The man began shoving me as i said "don't touch me!" and he replied "I can do whatever the fuck i want". The management kept me from holding the man until police came and let them go. Then by the time the police came, management left the office. The management told me that i can't prove anything so i can't do anything about it. Began to threaten to ban me from the building and protect the people who's dog bit my dog. They helped not at all and pretty much made me out to be the perpetrator. They didn't even do anything to let the neighbors know or put a rule on this resident to have their dog muzzled. They went as far as removing my posts and photos of the people so other residents could help me. Let me say it one more time. A worker began SHOVING ME and Michelle let him do it and tell me "I can do whatever the fuck I want". Keep in mind I AM THE ONE WHO HAD A DOG ATTACKED! The workers constantly lie. They push me to act out of my normal behavior because you get to a point where you feel helpless and no one is helping you but only blaming you. Imagine having your dog attacked, and having to nap in the lobby, because they wont help u PROBLEM 4 No cameras also in the garage. My car and 6 others were broken into and they did nothing about it. No cameras added and then told me my renters insurance through them doesn't cover it because they automatically lowered my insurance for not showing them my car insurance. (Why would i need to show my car insurance when im PAYING mandatory for renters insurance?) This apartment complex does not care about you. And you can't do anything to prove anything because none of the cameras work. So they just blame you and move on. I moved out because i don't feel like im being taken care of for the amount we pay. And that my pet was put in danger and they did nothing about it. Considering its a pet friendly building. They don't care about your problems. They are nice as long as you don't file a complaint. I thought maybe it was just me, but literally every resident I spoke to had concerns. They made me uncomfortable to even go to the office because they allow their employee to put hands on you. And I would get dirty looks from Guia for simply making complaints. She is the first to tell me that all these problems were my fault. Then they get defensive when you get upset. Pay a little more and go some where else. K2 is GREAT! My friends live there and the workers are really helpful even when i just visit. They go as far as walking me to my friends rooms or party rooms if i never been there. The best employee experiences i had were from Edwin, who is amazing and goes the extreme for you. And also Zuri, who i noticed has a lot of bad comments but she was probably the nicest of the 3 ladies that i had altercations with.
