When he agreed to consider it, he was asked for detailed personal financial information, including income and housing costs. He felt uncomfortable sharing that level of detail and chose not to proceed with the application and instead paid in cash. After that, he asked about a veterans discount and provided his ID.me verification, but was told it didn't qualify. The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming after he declined the credit card offer. Overall, we were disappointed with the customer service, especially given the size of the purchase. We came on a Saturday morning and they were quite busy! It looks like they take of all types of animals from the farm to domestic, so this was one of the more unique pet store experiences. The dog food selection was limited compared to what we have back home, so we weren't able to get the exact same food we usually feed the dogs, but they had Taste of the Wild which was a brand we used to feed the dogs. Pricing was on par with what you'd pay at the bigger stores but the customer service here is what sets it apart from most pet stores. You can tell they love what they do! I comment to the girl there that they have good prices and she tells me they try to keep the prices lower than the other feed stores. I didn't need anything particular today but the prices were good and I thought I may as well grab a few things while I was there. One of the bags I was buying was a bag or "wet cob" priced at $23.99 for a 50 pound bag. I get to the register and the girl rings up the wet cob...$32.99! I ask her if the price was correct, she assures me it is. I thought maybe I had looked at the wrong price. I tell her it's too much for that and I switch to something else, she rings up my other items. As we're leaving, my friend and I go back to where the wet cob was and recheck the price....it in fact DID say $23.99. Soooo....why was she trying to charge me $10 more? She made a comment that she hadn't gotten around to changing the price tags. How long does it take to change a price tag because when we arrived no one was there. I don't know about you, but when I shop...the price of an item determines whether or not I buy the item. If the price says $5 but it's really $10? Chances are, I'm not buying it for $10 and the reason I bought it was because I though it was $5. With that being said, after I got home and checked my receipt.....Out of the 4 items on my ticket...only ONE had the price that I saw on the shelf. The other THREE items were rang up with different prices! I'm sorry young lady, but that is what you call Bait and Switch. This is my first and last visit to your feed store, I thought I had found a good one but that is not good business practice. Fix your shelf tags!
