Tried the Feeders Supply Sunday clinic for nail trims on Sunday morning. My dog is a rescue and still a puppy. He is known to be rambunctious but we are working on that- no judgement. The young man and the young lady who took care of this service were very helpful and offered tips : holding your pups paws more frequently so their nail trims will go smoother in the future. I came in here about a month ago looking for some dry food for my cat. I also wanted to avoid PetSmart because they're owned by Walmart. Especially something formulated for weight loss because my cat has gotten a little THICC being that she's a house cat. I asked the staff there and the lady that was helping me recommended Hill's Science Diet Adult Perfect Weight Chicken Recipe Dry Cat Food. She was really knowledgable and receiving of any question that I had about getting my cat to lose weight. Since coming in here and buying the cat food that they recommended, my cat, is looking a lot better, she's losing weight and her coat looks shiny and full. I don't need to body shame my cat any more by calling her THICCEMS. haha Plus they offer a 5% veteran's discount! Firstly, I want to review Feeder's Supply website because it is horrible. It pushes me to order products for delivery and then won't let me order ANYTHING from their website. It won't tell me any of this, it simply grays out of the checkout button. How infuriating. Now.... the local stores have NOTHING in stock. They said they have no idea when ANY PRODUCTS MIGHT COME IN. They HAVE NO CLUE when it comes to products that are out of stock and don't know how to adjust their inventory to get more. This is a big deal because I finally found something my dog will eat and now they can't order, can't find it, have no idea what I'm talking about. I love all the Feeders Supply locations! They always have a great selection and what I need. I have 2 dogs and a cat who are really spoiled thanks to Feeders. My favorite part is the bakery cookies for the pups, I love picking out cute treats for special occasions and just because. I am also a fan of their self service dog washing stations. They have been a life saver after muddy hikes. The wash stations are fully stocked with shampoos, conditioners, ear cleaners, cleaned brushes, aprons, dryers, and towels which makes bath times easy. The Preston Hwy location has the best set up for the baths in my option. Lastly, their home delivery service is THE BEST. I literally placed an order in the morning and it was delivered to my doorstep the very same afternoon. Delivery was free and I didn't have to carry two 50lbs of dog food in and out of my trunk. Typically delivery is next day in my past experiences, but still very fast. I would definitely recommend shopping at Feeders over big name pet stores and online options. And if you sign up for their newsletters you get special deals too. I can just go on and on about all the great experiences I have had at Feeder's Supply. Also the Preston HWY Feeders is the home of Preston the cat who is the coolest so win win. read more

I will never get fish at this location. I went in last week and found like 10 to 20 dead fish. Every time I go inside there is always dead fish and it's not just like 5 dead fish there is always like 10 to 20 sometimes even more than that. I would not recommend buying fish here. Also when fish die and sit there for days or hours they put these chemicals in the water that infects the rest of the fish which makes them die off too. If you don't believe me go there it's the one on 5763 Preston Hwy Louisville, KY 40219 I bet you will find a lot of dead fish. read more

I went into Feeders directly after picking up my first foster dog. My intention was to give him a bath and get a harness for him. I had no clue what I was doing so I asked the cashier how to get started with the bath. She was super helpful and told me what to do. Well, my foster had other ideas, backed out of his collar, and headed for the door. I may have freaked out a little and shouted that I needed help - not my best moment. I was able to take the dog to the area of the store where they have the harnesses. That's where an angel of an employee came over, sat with me on the floor and helped me fit the dog with a harness. She was so kind and patient and I did email corporate to give her a shout out. So, I hope you never need help like I did that day, but the above and beyond customer service I received at Feeders was something I'll never forget and was greatly appreciated. Oh - and the harness was a beautiful purple at a great price. I also picked up some biodegradable waste bags and a Kong for treat time. read more

Came in for one item! Left with several. Conner the store manger was a lot of help this afternoon. All the employees took time to ask if we needed any help. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable about their area. The store was clean and in its place - even during a remodel. They also have several animals in store available for adoption. We will def be back. Today, my boyfriend and I adopted our first dog. We of course needed to pick up a few items so we went to the nearest feeders supply. First thought was it was a little sketchy due to the outside of the building not being updated. A worker, Connor, was great! He made our dog feel comfortable and helped us with picking out proper food for her. He gave a lot of suggestions and advice! He also provided us with some free treats! We came in to adopt a kitten and the lady (Molly) from the humane society was very odd. She took the kitten away from us bc she was "paranoid". We filled out papers and she even gave us the kittens medicines...just to tell us that she didn't want us to have her. She was overall awkward and rude and made us uncomfortable! read more

This store isn't in a new building like the St. Matthews feeders but it has the same merchandise and better prices than pet smart on the things I bought (Kong toys and dog food). I have been going regularly for 2 years. Always great, friendly service. If they can't answer my questions they refer me to the proper source. Have had to make multiple returns of food and merchandise until I get the correct items for my dog resulting in even exchange or my money returned. Staff attentive to health with any and all items I purchase. Ella especially enjoys the ride in the cart allowed at every visit. Recommend to all pet owners .
