We have gone to Pet School and Hotel for 30 years and have always loved them, and they have always loved our dogs. But our last visit was a huge disappointment. I am not sure if Mary or Ruth are no longer involved, and if so, that may explain it. We picked up our dog and she was clearly very ill. She was limp and lifeless in the car. We went straight to the vet. She had a 104.5 fever and ended up spending the week at the vet. I called to ask how they could not have noticed she was so ill. I got a note of apology, which I appreciated, but they really missed this one. We have since moved to another kennel. read more

When my dog became paralyzed in July, our previous groomer at the Humane Society Eastpoint nearly doubled our price... I was never totally happy there anyways so I did some research and found the Pet School & Hotel. I swear I don't trust anyone else to groom my special needs dog. It is a small business which I love, it truly reminds me of home. The staff and owner are always so kind and they treat Charlie like they've known him forever. The groomer always does exactly what I ask and Charlie comes home with a cute seasonal bandanna. The small detail really means a lot to me. The prices are also incredibly affordable... I would recommend this business to anyone in Louisville. I am about to move to a different area of town and I will gladly still make the drive to this place. read more

I am not really sure what happened when my puppy was there but she has been very lethargic and full of diarrhea since I got her home. Her pet bed also had feces in it. I was not able to see what it looked like inside which I found odd because every other boarding place allows you to come in and see. This would be fine except for the fact that my dog has had terrible tummy issues since there so I wondered what happened. read more

We have used this place multiple times. During the pandemic we were not allowed to go in, but were told that the cats and dogs were in separate parts of the building and cats had a 6' X 8' room with perches and toys to roam and play with. On our last trip we got back early so we went in earlier than they expected to pick up out cat and obviously caught them by surprise. NOTHING was like they had said. The cat had been left in a 2' X 4' cage the entire time with dogs in cages directly below. The cat was caked with filth from the liter box that took up about a third of the cage. He had not been given the food or treats we had left. What we saw was nothing like they had told us or what is stated on their web site. At this point I wouldn't believe a word these people told me! read more

We've been a customer for many years. I'm apprehensive to say just how great they are for fear they will get too busy to have openings for us. The staff really love our dogs and our dogs are happy when they arrive and leave unlike when they visit the vet. We have a dog that wears a cone because she harms herself and the staff keep a close eye on her and report any issues our dogs have. The staff ask about any medicines they might need to give the dogs and feed them the quantity and frequency you require. The groomer has reasonable prices and I believe you save $ if they are groomed during a time they are being boarded. We highly recommend them for boarding, grooming, and training. They offer many services to meet any of your pet's needs. read more

Mrs Wanda and her staff is awesome. They reassured me that our baby would be fine. I felt very comfortable when I dropped her off. When we went to pick her up, she was happy but she was sad in leaving the ladies. The facilities were very clean and price was very reasonable-the best in town. We've used them twice so far for boarding our dog Yogi. They seem to generally care about the dogs well being but also make you comfortable. Each time I've picked him up he was clean and in good spirits. Not sticky from lack of cleaning kennel (looking at you Pet Suites). Highly recommend and will use them every time I need to kennel my dog. Book ahead of time, they seem to fill up fast around holidays. read more
