I just left here for my 3rd, and last, time without being waited on. In the store for 45 minutes and not one employee asked if the could help me spend the $3,000 I have saved to start my reef. Norm is my go to guy here. They issue decent credit for coral and if you're Into saltwater aquariums, this is likely a place you won't go without. Many supplies and vendors under one roof, they don't have dogs if you are looking for puppies. Reptiles and fish stock are nice. read more

This place offers a large selection of animals; too bad they don't take care of any of them properly though. There are fresh/saltwater fish, small mammals, birds, and reptiles. The enclosures are filthy, and the animals are in distress. Their aquatics section is where they offer the most pets. The fish are kept in deplorable conditions and many fish are dying or already dead and decaying. To top it off they sell dyed fish. You're better off buying your fish online than coming here. read more

I've bought several fish from green tree over the last six months. 2 out of the 5 died soon after arriving. One iridescent shark never ate and eventually starved. and another red tail catfish I got ended up having callamarus worms. The catfish died a week after getting him home and also spread the parasite to my beautiful peacock bass and pacu. They now have the worms and are slowly dropping dead since there is little to no treatment for the specific type of worm they picked up. I would have returned and exchanged the catfish but honestly the whole parasitic worm thing kind of turned me away from using green tree because I don't need any of my other established fish dying. UPDATE: the Red-tail Catfish spread the parasite to my pacu, iridescent shark, and 3 peacock bass. Despite treatment, they all died. Not buying from Greentree again, I lost hundreds of dollars. I don't know how they could let such a deadly and virtually untreatable parasite go unnoticed like that read more

I've been to this shop around 5-6 times in the past 3 years, making substantial purchases for my reef tank. I am absolutely not going back after my last purchase of dead sps corals. after acclimating them for 3 hours, I took them out for inspection and found no mucus on them. They were dead. This crew is so awesome. I found these guys after receiving a ton of terrible information and sending aquarium to death row. They're helped me get things under control and back to health. They've patiently answered all my questions, and have been very honest about products needed and not needed. The focus has been 100% on what will help my fish, and nothing more. I asked about several products and items I Read about online and was told "that's just a money pit you don't need it" which I 100% appreciate. They're knowledgeable and approachable, and I recommend them to anyone who needs aquatic animal care. At first I thought they were closed or had the amount of people inside allowed, my kids and I went to the car and seen others walk in and realized just wronged door.... Ok my bad but the employees were right there thought maybe should say hey... Ok shook that off. Then after walking around for a good 15 minutes nobody had asked if I needed assistance, I went to the front and a girl finally helped and she was the only that was helpful except with the pricing! very sad I am almost 40 and I remember that store as I was little and it is NOT the same! The place to go for fish. The staff is very knowledgeable and are always willing to help with anything. They only offer a 24 hour guarantee on fish, but unlike other places it isn't usually a problem. Also check local adds for buy 1 get 1 free on fish. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. This is the second time I've walked in and waited over 5 mins to even be spoken too. We come here at least once a week. This is the best pet store around with such a good variety of fish and saltwater fish. We really appreciate all of the employees that work there, they are the most chill people. We can just go in and just talk to them about fish and they are so knowledgeable, if the person does not know they always find someone that does. read more

I will never shop here again. A year ago, I purchased two blood parrots from this store. They had a fungus, and the fungus ended up killing off all the fish in my 75 gallon tank. A week ago, I decided to give them another try. The two fish and one of the snails I purchased from them have already died. The gentleman working in the store admitted they had one of them for a while, and looked for another active one because they were having problems with a new supplier. Never again. read more

I highly recommend this place for people interested in fish. I recently went in here to buy some plants and a few small fish. The workers are very helpful and I can tell that they really care about the fish keeping hobby. With aisle after aisle of both fresh and salt water aquariums that are full of everything from feeder goldfish to piranhas to pufferfish, etc this is the go to place for everything fish and aquarium related. However, they also had a nice variety of birds and a single cat. The staff are friendly and eager to answer questions. As we walked around looking at the fish and other animals we were approached multiple times with offers of assistance. This is definatly a place that is worth visiting, especially if you are in the market for anything aquarium related. read more

This is probably the best hidden gem in pet stores in southern Indiana. Anything that I need this place has or can get for me. I have bought countless fish here all perfectly healthy. The prices on fish are a lot more reasonable then the competitors around. They also carry more exotic species, some being piranhas to fresh water stingrays. They also carry a wide array of fresh to brackish fish along with an assortment of salt water and corals. For anyone wanting to start up the hobby definitely start here first as they always have a sale on tanks, at times a dollar an inch. Tank decor for fish and other animals are bountiful. Some a bit overpriced but still bountiful. The staff is very wonderful and knowledgeable about the stock they carry. If you are seeking something they'll let you know if they can get it and such. I highly recommend this store if you are a fish, reptile, or small animal person. Definitely not a place for dogs or cats. read more

I have changed my mind about Greentree Pet Center. We got a cockatiel from there in November that when we got him home he was in bad shape, said I would never go back but my son talked me in to going back to look at a green chi coniard. The store is neat and clean, it was bright, the birds look like they are in good condition. We were really impressed by the conditions of this store. The staff was eager to help we had no problems at all this time. My son got the bird and so far so good. So if we need anything else we will go back. Wow what a change. read more

This is the only place that I go when I am looking to purchase fish for my aquarium. The staff is friendly and always willing to help & answer any questions! It's a busy store so sometimes you have to wait in order to be helped but that's to be expected when you have 10+ people waiting to buy some fish. I recently bought a fish tank setup and when I got home the lid was off by an inch (apparently the fish tank vendor changed sizing of their tanks) & I forgot my aquarium decoration I had purchased because I was in such a rush. When I got home and realized all of this I gave them a call and explained the situation. They told me to come back in and they would take care of me! They ended up upgrading me to the better light because of the mix up & gave me another decoration no questions asked. The problem i have is when you go into pet stores and look at there fish tanks and asked them their guarntee on their fish and usually it is 2 days. To me that dont give them time to adjust to our tanks coming out of your tanks. Your water is different from my water. Feeders supply wants a sample of your water and the dead fish. Usually it is the third day I would lose a fish and I am out a fish or maybe more.So my opinion 2 days isnt long enough I think it should be 3 days. I have shopped greentree a few times . I am not putting greentree down. I just dont agree with the warrranty with greentree and difentily feeders supply. read more

I've come to this place for years. I don't know much about the dog/cat field, but when it comes to fish...Holy Cow this place has their act together. Super knowledgeable staff. They will help you with anything. One of my first tank set ups, I couldn't for the life of me to get the water to clear up. They gave me a bag of "dirty water" (fish poop squeezed out into a bag of good aquarium water). I put it in the tank, 12 hours later, crystal clear water. They have just about any kind of fish you could want from freshwater to salt. Very reasonable prices. If you're into fish, you won't be disappointed! read more

i have had two fish tanks for years now and every time i get fish from there two days later they die had my water checked at another store to be sure and it was good and have had fish from that store for a year plus now .WELL this time i went back just to try one more time and i got a bad deal this time i have now have to treat my tanks for gill/fin rot pain in the butt takes weeks to get rid off and needless to say the 4 fish i got there now have died and there is only a 24 hour return what a joke NEVER GOING THERE ANY MORE GO TOO A REAL PET STORE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME read more
