Dr. Gregg is the best! My wife and I each had Lasik (on the same day) with Dr. Gregg and now we're both seeing 20/15! My wife and I each wore glasses/contacts for the past 30+ years and we've never been able to see better than 20/20 - and it's seriously the most awesome feeling to know you're seeing perfect (or better than perfect), day or night, without glasses or contacts! My wife and I - after toying with the idea of having Lasik for years - were all set to have our Lasik done with another doctor and then we thought we ought to get just one more consultation (it is after all your eyes, so why not be discerning and diligent in seeking physician consultations???). So one of our friends referred us to Dr. Gregg after their brother-in-law had Lasik with him and had nothing but great things to say about him. During our in-office consultation and exam, we met with one of Dr. Gregg's optometrists and received confirmation that we were each candidates. Then Dr. Gregg came in the room to meet with us and we instantly hit it off with him and we knew right then that he was going to be the ophthalmologist to perform our Lasik! He is seriously the most down the earth guy and takes as much time as is absolutely necessary to explain the entire process and make sure you, the patient, are 100% comfortable with the surgery. My wife is a bit of a hypochondriac and asks a ton of questions, but Dr. Gregg took his time with us, answered every one of our questions, and thoroughly explained the procedure. On the day of our procedure, Friday morning, my wife and I arrived early, signed all the necessary paperwork, had our eyes examined one last time and then went into the procedure room with Dr. Gregg. I was pretty nervous about the procedure as I could never even hold my eyes open enough to even wear contacts, so the thought of holding them (or having them held) open long enough for a laser to fix my astigmatism was a little nerve wracking. But to my dismay, this thankfully wasn't Dr. Gregg's first surgery and he knew exactly how to calm a patient like me down and more importantly, he knew how to keep my eyes open! The procedure went flawless for both my wife and I and afterwards, Dr. Gregg was incredibly thoughtful and called me on the evening of our surgery day to check in. We've had a few follow-up visits with Dr. Gregg since our procedure and at each visit, Dr. Gregg has been and is the nicest and coolest doctor I've ever met! My wife had a few issues finding the right eye drop solution (thankfully the standard artificial tears worked fine for me) and Dr. Gregg has always made himself available to answer questions and has taken more than adequate time to ensure that my wife's and my eyes are comfortable post-op. In Newport Beach there are a TON of choices when selecting a Lasik doctor, but Dr. Gregg is seriously the best! There are a lot of great doctors that have had an opportunity to operate on celebrities and other big names and Dr. Gregg is no different. But I'm a regular guy and not a celebrity, so my question was can a regular guy like me get the same stellar treatment from a Newport Beach doctor as a celebrity and with Dr. Gregg you absolutely can and will! Rebuttal to Dr. Feinerman, I have referred my entire ER to you with a minimum of 5 people who have received the procedure from you, so don't worry, you're still safe with customers. Like I said before, no issues during the procedure. I do have to say there's an implication that I was noncompliant with a dry eye regimen. My frustrations stem from the fact that I was told my symptoms were normal. I was never educated on or provided a dry eye regimen other than Restasis. My continued dry eye even after starting Restasis should have been addressed at one of the follow up visits. When I mentioned my poor night vision I was advised that "another procedure would only do more harm," I didn't even ask for a touch up! The fact that I needed to do more to rectify my dry eye and that it was causing my poor vision was never brought up. I lived with miserable eyes for almost two years, went through countless bottles of eye drops only to find out there was a solution this entire time. read more

My experience with Dr. Feinerman was exceptional. Everything was very easy and seamless. I had expected his price to be high as he is so well known, but it wasn't . It was in line with other lasik centers that I had checked out. His front desk is also amazing. They are fast and courteous. 1. Set up a consultation appointment through their website 2. They will send you an email to confirm your appointment 24 hours before the date 3. During the 1st appointment, they will run you through a couple tests, have you checked out by an optometrist and then finally Dr. Feinerman. 4. If you're a candidate for lasik, they let you watch a video on the risks associated with it. 5. If you want to proceed after, you will have to pay for your surgery up front to book the appointment. 6. The day of the surgery, they check your eyes out again, have you sign some release papers, and if you want they will give you a Xanax to help you relax. 7. The surgery is all but 5 minutes. 8. Make sure you have someone to pick you up and drive you home after. 9. The numbness will go away after 30 min and your eyes will be stinging for about 30 min. This is normal, just go home and sleep it off. 10. Dr. Will call you later in the day and check up on you. 11. You will have a next day follow up, a 3 month follow up and a 9 month follow up I believe. read more

I was fairly nervous when the procedure started, but Dr. Feinerman does a great job making comments throughout the procedure to let you know everything is going perfectly. I took a 4-hour nap after my surgery and woke up with 20/20 vision. I literally was able to watch a sports game without any pain. I have felt zero pain, and the next day I couldn't even tell that I had surgery on my eyes. For me I get very anxious and nervous about having any procedure done and surprisingly I was very calm Dr feinerman would let me know what was happening made it very relaxing for me. The facility is clean and offers friendly service. Unfortunately, after the consultation, they rushed me to book an appointment for surgery after discussing my options. They wanted to collect the money right away to book the appointment. I did, but came to find out that they charged me an extra $1000 from the online special they're running on this website. I called and emailed to inquire about what had happened, one of the staff members replied with a complete bait and switch tactic saying that the prices offered on the website was for an old blade technology that basically doesn't exist anymore. I mentioned to her that there was no mention of this in the advertisement, and she simply had no response and didn't try anything else to remedy the situation. I felt obligated to cancel at this point as they completely lost my trust. It felt that I was dealing with a used car dealer. I was very hesitant to get Lasik because of the thought of having surgery on both eyes seems so risky... I woke up with blurry vision which was so scary. For the first 2-3 weeks, I had good days and bad days; halos made it difficult to drive at night. Then after little over a month everything was clear every day, no more bad days! I didn't have dry eyes and was able to stop all my eye drops. Nowadays I only need eye drops here and there and I am so happy about it as I've heard that some people have to use eye drops every day due to dry eyes. Best Doctor ever!!! I was so scared to do the Lasik surgery and I couldn't trust anyone to do that for me. But, after I found dr Feinerman I decided to go there last year and after doing some vision tests I qualified for the Lasik surgery. Every process was so easy. Dr explained everything to me and he was so kind. Within 2 days I've done my surgery and everything was perfect. 6 month visit today and Dr. Feinerman and his team are exceptional! Can't say enough good things! Staff- They are always on top of things and communicate very well. I was walking out after speaking with one of the girls about my follow up appointment and another girl reminded her about eye drops for me (which I completely forgot about). Lasik procedure was done in April on both my eyes ( i had aounr -4.50 in both eyes) and vision has never been this great! I was able to see once I got out of the chair. Healing process didn't take too long for me, but it does depend on your eyes on how quickly they heal. I was seeing a little halo afterwards, but it has decreased significantly over time. read more

Dr. Feinerman and his staff are the most friendly and professional people you will ever meet. I called into the office and scheduled an initial consultation after having issues with dry toric lenses. They brought me in a few days later and ran some tests to determine if I was a good LASIK candidate. The entire process took about an hour. After I received the good news of being a LASIK candidate, I booked my surgery for the next week. The surgery itself is super quick. They offer you a Xanax before the procedure to help you sleep right after the surgery. Then, they put a bunch of numbing drops in each eye and have you look directly at a blinking light inside a suction tube for the entire time. He only took about 2 minutes on each eye. After the surgery, you're free to go home and take a nap! Your eyes will feel weird for the first hour as the numbing drops wear off. My eyes were stinging for a bit and tears kept rolling down my face but the Xanax knocked me out soon after. When I woke up from my 4 hour nap, I was really surprised at how clear my vision was. I went in for my check-up the next day and he said it was 20/15 in both eyes. It's been a week since the surgery and I'm super grateful for Dr. Feinerman and his staff. My work requires me to sit in front of a computer 8+ hours a day so it's awesome to not have to deal with my dry toric lenses anymore. I was so nervous about my LASIK surgery. I went for a free consultation and was assured it would be a simple procedure. They had an opening the following week and so I proceeded. The day of they gave me a pill for my nerves and went under the laser. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful. Dr. Feinerman called the night of my surgery to ensure everything was well. I got a lasik consult at Manhattan lasik institute in New York and was told I was not a candidate; my cornea was too thin and I had an eye disease called keratokonus. After getting an extremely thorough eye exam by Dr. Tanya Lau, the man himself, Dr. Feinerman, met with me and discussed the results of the test. He was super outgoing and put me at ease right away. He told me I actually have thick corneas, NO eye disease and said I was the perfect candidate. I have to admit, I was SUUUPER skeptical.... I was told two different things plus I might go blind! Should I take the chance?! I trusted Dr. Feinerman. His bedside manner, calm demeanor and willingness to make a personal connection with each of his patients won me over. Fck it, #yolo, let's go!! I made an appt a week later. The whole surgery took around 10- 15 min. I was admittedly a bit nervous at first but Dr. Feinerman kept me at ease the whole procedure. It was quick and painless. I went home and with the help of xanex, knocked out. 5 hours later, I woke up seeing crystal clear!! My eyes were a bit dry but that's to be expected as I was instructed to use preservative free drops every 15-30 min upon waking hours. I was feeling awesome the day of and actually went to see an Ed Sheeran concert that night; I almost cried bc everything was super clear!
