I told the lady when I got there about the spot, and she sorta nodded her head. I think the reviews are right, I don't think their english is good. But if that's the case, that's totally fine, but make sure instructions are clear before you accept a job from a customer! The jacket came back with the same oil spot. So I put a simple spot treater and washed it myself, and it came right out. When I went back to the store, they said the manager didn't work there and to call another number. As other reviews have mentioned, this laundry service constantly adds new rules without informing customers. When I first signed up, I was told it was simple: pay the monthly fee, put my clothes in the bag, and text them for pickup. Over time, they kept introducing new restrictions without prior notice, making the process increasingly frustrating. If they had been upfront about their policies, I would have respected them--but instead, I was repeatedly spoken to rudely whenever I requested service. It got to the point where I genuinely dreaded asking for laundry pickup because I knew that I would be spoken to disrespectfully. The customer service here is shockingly bad. I could go on about the many issues, but here are just a few examples: - They initially told me they would air dry any clothes I placed in a separate bag. Then, out of nowhere, they claimed they never offered air drying. - I was suddenly informed that I couldn't drop off my clothes after 11 AM--something I was never told when I signed up. - I included a small blanket in my laundry, only to be charged an extra $10 without any prior confirmation, simply because it was a "different texture." And the worst part is that their tone over text is consistently rude and unprofessional. Whoever manages customer communications needs serious training in basic customer service. There are plenty of better laundry services out there. Save your money and go elsewhere! TLC has excellent customer service and are professional all around. Scheduling is a breeze, delivery guys are prompt in pick-up/drop-offs, AND my clothes are actually CLEAN. I took this dress to Todd Layne Cleaners on E. 77th Street for the first time. This dress had been professionally dry cleaned several times in the past with no problems. When I picked it up, the color had been dramatically faded and the dress was clearly damaged. After I contacted the cleaner, it took Todd Layne two days to respond. His only explanation was that there must have been an issue with the dress manufacturer and that I should contact them directly. There was no acknowledgment of responsibility, no apology, and no attempt to resolve the situation. I'm posting before-and-after photos so you can see the difference for yourself. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Todd Layne Cleaners. If you have garments that are valuable or sentimental, you may want to think carefully before entrusting them to this cleaner.

The dress has white spots on it, yellow spots, but it is generally blue now. I also gave them a brand new towel, and received it all in colored stripes! When I was giving them the dress, I specifically said It is expensive, and asked if wash and fold is fine of if I should put it in dry-cleaning. The sticker, however, said that delicate wash is okay, so I specifically asked to be careful and do the delicate wash. They said okay and put it together with black clothes! The greatest things happened when I came to show them what happened with the dress and the towel. They were extremely rude. They yelled at me for 45 minutes, they lied, they said I had the dress like this, they said the towel was like this because it is my hair dye (the towel was straight from the store). They said I should complain to the dress designer why my dress is turning blue! Then they said it is all my fault because I didn't tell them I needed my clothes to be washed separately, so they put all of them all together (when I came, I specifically took all my clothes out, showed the dress, asked if wash and fold is okay, showed them the sticker, put all the colored clothes separately. No one told me about 2 dollars extra for separation - I assumed it is common sense you don't wash black and colors with white, especially when I specifically pointed out the dress and asked what is the best way to get it done). They said I didn't pay 2 dollars so it is on me now. They were yelling the entire time, they told me to call the police, told me they are about to close, told me to not ever come back. Then the owner took my clothes and threw it to the floor and the garbage bin!! Then the lady tore my dry cleaning clothes out of my hands abruptly and started to take them away - I was thinking she was going to cut them with scissors.
