I tried out 4 different companies and would always run into issues - clothes came back dirtier and with stains, I'd get charged extra for items I didn't even include in my order, they were often hours late in pick ups/drop-offs, or they simply wouldn't show up during the scheduled window of service, and customer service would be awful - one company straight up ghosted me. I gave each of them 3 chances before finding someone new. When I tell you that I'm SOOO happy that finally found Todd Layne Cleaners, that is an understatement! TLC has excellent customer service and are professional all around. Scheduling is a breeze, delivery guys are prompt in pick-up/drop-offs, AND my clothes are actually CLEAN. The fact that I can customize my washes is just a plus. Definitely worth the money, in my opinion. Thanks TLC for making my life so much easier!! I love you so much, I could cry. I took this dress to Todd Layne Cleaners on E. 77th Street for the first time. This dress had been professionally dry cleaned several times in the past with no problems. When I picked it up, the color had been dramatically faded and the dress was clearly damaged. After I contacted the cleaner, it took Todd Layne two days to respond. His only explanation was that there must have been an issue with the dress manufacturer and that I should contact them directly. There was no acknowledgment of responsibility, no apology, and no attempt to resolve the situation. I'm posting before-and-after photos so you can see the difference for yourself. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Todd Layne Cleaners. If you have garments that are valuable or sentimental, you may want to think carefully before entrusting them to this cleaner.

When I first signed up, I was told it was simple: pay the monthly fee, put my clothes in the bag, and text them for pickup. Over time, they kept introducing new restrictions without prior notice, making the process increasingly frustrating. If they had been upfront about their policies, I would have respected them--but instead, I was repeatedly spoken to rudely whenever I requested service. It got to the point where I genuinely dreaded asking for laundry pickup because I knew that I would be spoken to disrespectfully. The customer service here is shockingly bad. I could go on about the many issues, but here are just a few examples: - They initially told me they would air dry any clothes I placed in a separate bag. Then, out of nowhere, they claimed they never offered air drying. - I was suddenly informed that I couldn't drop off my clothes after 11 AM--something I was never told when I signed up. - I included a small blanket in my laundry, only to be charged an extra $10 without any prior confirmation, simply because it was a "different texture." And the worst part is that their tone over text is consistently rude and unprofessional. Whoever manages customer communications needs serious training in basic customer service. There are plenty of better laundry services out there. Save your money and go elsewhere! I told the lady when I got there about the spot, and she sorta nodded her head. I think the reviews are right, I don't think their english is good. But if that's the case, that's totally fine, but make sure instructions are clear before you accept a job from a customer! The jacket came back with the same oil spot. So I put a simple spot treater and washed it myself, and it came right out. When I went back to the store, they said the manager didn't work there and to call another number. There is another cleaner right next door, and they are amazing! They do all my cleaning and alterations now - always a perfect job and friendly service E 88 Cleaners is who I'd highly recommend.

Well, I don't know if it is jeffrey who answers the phone (jeffie) but the soft spoken gentleman picks up the phone and is at your door to pick up laundry in a ridiculously short amount of time. I called and asked to pick up laundry, hopped in the shower and he got to my door a few blocks away in the 100 degree heat while I was still in the shower! WTF! Even in college, I bailed on the horrible warm crowded depressing basement and opted for fluff and fold. So to have PICKUP and DELIVERY for free in NYC is a veritable miracle (especially in a walkup). Also, Santa Barbara--where I live 6 or so months a year--has the most expensive, obnoxious dry cleaners on the planet. This cleaners is cheaper than the ONLY half-price cleaners in SB (Ecocleaners). A couture Bloomingdales red beaded top was just 8 (16 in SB even at the discount cleaners). Tops and bottoms without anything fancy or special were like 4. A lined dress just 8. I didn't even do my dry cleaning in SB before 3 weeks in the city because this place is great, cheap and appeals to those lazy by nature about logistics. No one who delivers speaks any English. And by ANY English, I mean even the simplest thing, forget about it. But they know what they're doing so you really don't need to communicate. Today I will send out my dog hair-covered overcoat with fox trim. It's the first "difficult" garment I've sent and they will have it back tomorrow evening. Wonderful place! (Oh, re promptness...they are a bit confused or confusing re times of pickup and delivery but it's still faster than the average cleaners in overpriced, service-challenged SB where EVERYTHING about being a girl breaks the bank from nails to waxing to dry cleaning.... New Yorkers are just used to the best service on earth so they expect a lot. I did have one delay but I think that's a small price to pay.)
