I have been a patient of Natalie Earl's for many years. Because of circumstances beyond my control I was 15 minutes late for my appt. They told me that she would not see me. I've never been late before and this is how I was treated. I left a message to speak with office manager, but haven't gotten the courtesy of a return call. I am looking for a different practice. This was absolutely awful for me. Your practice is too big. Your front desk is inadequate. There were eight people waiting to check in when I left. I was treated like a number, not a long standing patient. If you cared about your patients, you would have trained the staff to be polite and respectful. You can't check people in fast enough. If I could give zero stars, I would. I tried to make an appointment via the website, where I inputted all information necessary. The receptionist called and was incredibly rude. She would ask a question that was not clear, if I answered the question with more information than she asked, she would respond sarcastically and then yelled at me. When I asked her name, she refused to share her name. If the receptionist is a reflection of this practice, I refuse to make another appointment here. Scam business. I wish I had read the reviews before I ever booked an appointment. Long story short, I cancelled my appointment the week before, but I kept getting reminders. So I called more than 24 hours in advance again to cancel it. They never processed the first cancellation. And surprise, surprise they didn't process the second cancellation either, yet both times I cancelled well before the 24 hour window and both times I was assured the appointment was cancelled. Now these greedy scammers are sending me bills saying I was a no show. Do not ever go here. Updated: I wrote them and provided screenshots of my phone records showing I called to cancel in advance. My patience is at ZERO with this office. We're three weeks short of a year past my visit and they're still sending me bills when they told me my insurance covered the visit via multiple phone calls this past year. I went because I had Covid and lost my taste (which they told me oh, there's nothing that can be done). To elaborate, they put the wrong codes to my insurance, and then claimed they fixed them. I had quite the unpleasant experience at Feldman ENT within the past few weeks. I should have known not to schedule here when the receptionist who answered my phone call was exceptionally rude to me when I asked if they had a specific type of ear test. She said repeatedly that she didn't know if they offered this specific test and that I could double check with the doctor, not saying that she could check and get back to me. I don't want to schedule for weeks away when I'm not even sure if they have the test I needed to get. Regardless, nobody was available in my small timeframe so I did it anyways. When I came in, receptionist was unlocking the office after lunch, on the phone, very short and occupied when starting the day, no acknowledgement of my presence. She was more cordial once settled, I guess. But when I was let in to talk to the nurse assistant lady, she asked why I was there, I told her who I was referred from and immediately started disparaging the other clinic and their assessment of my problems without even asking me about my symptoms or looking at me. Eventually she looked in my ears, told me they needed cleaning, got out a suction tool and didn't mention any risks, etc. She was very dismissive of me and my concerns. I got very upset and she realized she'd done me wrong. I did not feel heard or that she understood the severity of my symptoms, so much so that I was crying. Seeing this they tried to treat me more carefully, but honestly, the damage was already done. When the doctor saw me, he listened a bit more but doubted my results. I saw a very nice lady for some ear tests, and then despite seeing a red X on one of the machines indicating my ears were not responding as desired, the doctor told me I was just fine. He never discussed my other test results with me which I had brought in before. He gave me a sheet of things I could do on a plane to fix the ear pressure issues... which I had done before, clearly indicated I'd done before, and he said - well, this should fix it. Felt so dismissed and unheard. Look - maybe the other practice was scamming me. But I will absolutely be getting a third opinion because one place says I need a lot of care, this place says there's nothing wrong. I'm in pain. Do not dismiss my concerns. To top it off, it was very distressing that as I was leaving, the nurse assistant, IN THE WAITING ROOM, reiterated to me, in front of other patients, information about my next steps and care. I felt this was very unprofessional. Not impressed. Won't be coming back. read more

Just like many of the other reviews this practice is terrible, unresponsive and rude. Post surgery my son needed an urgent refill of his meds as he was in extreme pain. Called for 3 days and every time was rudely told that the only thing we could do is leave a message on the Physicians Assistant line. They NEVER called back. Finally had the referring Dr. call them and he got it filled. BUT, they filled it to the wrong pharmacy than they were instructed to. They sent it to a CVS 3 hours away. We now have to get them to resend to the correct one. He's out of meds and No-one will call us back. Do not use this practice. There are plenty others. read more

A few days later I had trouble with getting insurance coverage for a medication Dr. Malaisrie prescribed. The inability to even engage in a basic conversation with the staff over the phone speaks volumes about the disregard for patient satisfaction and highlights a glaring flaw in the practice's ethos. I would strongly caution anyone considering seeking care from this office to reevaluate their options and choose a provider who values their patients' time and concerns. My appt. was with Dr. Mesick. Upon checking in at the front desk I was reprimanded for printing/filling out online forms and was told "we do things electronically" and asked "where did you get these from." Ummm your website. Dr. Mesick examined my throat, prescribed prednisone/nasal spray and just left the room. There was no closure i.e. "feel free to call if this continues or if you need anything else." While checking out -- the front desk was quick to dismiss me. I can only describe the office experience as robotic lacking any human pleasantries. This is not about the quality of care - my doctor has always been excellent - but when the office functions poorly it reflects my n all of it. I made an appointment with my doctor and they have a portal with forms you need to fill out for your visit. I would start, in a few minutes it would cut me out and claim access denied. But then the texts would start threatening me that if I did not fill out the form I would have to reschedule my appointment. A lot of them. And don't get me started about the wait times. This is a painful review for me to post, because while I love - -and I mean LOVE -- the two doctors I see in this practice as well as the front office staff of all the locations I've been to (Bethesda, Chevy Chase, D.C.), the person who answers the main scheduling number is the rudest, cruelest person I've ever dealt with in my entire life -- and I've dealt with many rude people over the course of my lifetime, as have we all. Years ago, when Dr. Bruce Feldman was still a part of this practice, I was a patient. Last week, I scheduled an appointment w/another one of their physicians. Then I received two emails: an appointment confirmation & a request to provide my medical history by setting up a patient portal account which I tried to do without success as their system would not send me a code as it did not "recognize me". So I spent 3 hours this morning trying to sort this out w/their office--again, without success. I was initially told that my appointment could not be found despite the confirmation I received. Then I was told that I could not receive a code because I had "unsubscribed from their communications" which since the last time I saw them was before online communications even existed so I explained that this was not possible. Then I was transferred to someone who could supposedly assist me, left a message & because I received no response, I called back. After being disconnected multiple times, I finally spoke to someone who could not assist me but told me if I came in early, they could take my information in the office. I explained that if I did that, I still would not have a patient portal account & no way to communicate w/their office. I asked her to seek a solution or I would have to consider cancelling the appointment as I do want a practice where I have the ability to communicate with in order to send a message to my physician, get test results, read visit notes, request 'scripts, etc. I had not heard back from this person so I called again & was repeatedly disconnected & finally, the outgoing message advised me that they were "closed for lunch". Then I went to Yelp to read the reviews which I expected to be good reviews. What a surprise to discover that the majority of the reviews are "1s" & for so many different reasons. I really can't see going forward w/a practice like this when there are other ENT practices nearby whose reviews are positive so I most definitely will be cancelling my appointment. read more

I can't find the ENT CARE on Rockledge Dr so this will have to do. The worst experience ever. Never returned my numerous calls about my prescriptions status and when they finally did the voicemail they left at the very end of the day was incomprehensible and seemed like they had me confused with another patient. They were talking about a medication I never heard of before and a google search showed it didn't even exist. I was supposed to get two prescriptions but they only ordered one. NO EXPLANATIONs! It got so late I had to go to the doctors on call who were mean, talked over me, would not explain my confusion about the voicemail, couterintcations with my ambien, what happed with the 2nd precription and then just hung up on me. Real dicks all around. Wouldn't send my worst enemy to this practice. Just Terrible. And Dr Earl seemed nice. Guess she doesn't take notes, incompetent or doesn't likes to keep her patients informed. Feldman ENT has turned into a Jiffy Lube operation. Regardless of what you come in for, you arrive, a tech. puts you in a 1950s sound booth, they show you the results, and then the doctor sees you for about 4 minutes and sells hugely overpriced hearing aides. Reminds me of chain optometrists like My Eye Doctor. I hope they're better with more serious ENT problems. read more

Took three weeks to get an appointment. Meanwhile, they require you to use their app. If you don't, they hand you an iPad when you arrive, to use their app. If you haven't filled out the 20-minute app questionnaire, they won't see you. It's a third-party app, with what appears to be zero security -- their convenience is your cybersecurity problem. After you give them your medical history via their app, they examine you and then tell you to get expensive tests (MRIs, etc.). Then you're done. Zero follow-through. No contact, no follow-up, other than constant texts saying "fill out our digital questionnaire and leave a review on Yelp!" I had to go to my primary care physician to find out the results of my brain MRI. Seriously? OK, here's the review -- "the practice is a poorly managed, profit-oriented sweat shop of young docs who fail patient caer because they're pressed for volume, not patient health. Anyone with ENT problems should go anywhere -- anywhere -- else." read more

I showed up to my appointment and they said I had canceled my appointment when I had not. In fact, their system canceled it without letting me know and for no reason. No one apologized or seemed to feel bad about this. They ended up "fitting" me in an hour later and then I didn't get to see and doctor until 30minutes after that. The doctor commented "sorry for the front desk confusion" - no accountability. My doctor not take my issues all that seriously or think deeply about any solutions. It seemed plug and play. Underwhelmed with the attitude here. We had been to the urgent care in the same building and they referred us to the Feldman group because my spouse was having severe nosebleeds which would not stop. Urgent care dr said it needed to be cauterized by an otolaryngologist. The Feldman staffer disappeared momentarily and then came back saying all the doctors were going to lunch and none of the other offices had any openings (she didn't check, just straight away said no). Great, thanks, we'll just bleed out right here. Luckily were able to get a same-day appointment with Dr. McNamara in Spring Valley. Hope no one ever has any dire needs here, the staff will just send you away like this is a third-world hospital. (Yes, we know about going to an ER... this was not life-threatening but very uncomfortable and distressing.) read more

it's kind of hit or miss with this practice depending on the doctor you see. I would not have been in the mood to write a review at all, but I was charged for a no-show (it was a total accident I didn't show up) and while I respect that they charge for late cancellations/no-show appointments, and have no problem paying for my mistake, I do feel a little bit indignant because the last appointment I attended might as well have been a no-show itself. It felt like the doctor was a no-show. I spent about 45 minutes to an hour waiting for an appointment and then when I was seen, my questions were dismissed very rapidly, as the doctor seemed to be in a hurry to get onto the next patient. I'm not going to name names, but I will say that certain doctors in this practice are more attentive than others and it's a shame that they do not all adhere to the same standard of care. I would not be writing this review if I felt like the doctor had actually listened to me rather than walked out the door while I was asking a question. read more

Went to see Dr. Schoenfeld for pain in my ears that started when I began using new hearing aids. He didn't seem very interested from the get go. His first question was about where I'd gotten the hearing aids. When he heard that they weren't from his office --I'd bought them OTC from a top rated company-- he became even more dismissive. Looked in my ears and said they were fine and he couldn't tell me anything about why they hurt or what to do about it. When I tried to ask other questions he had curt non-answers. I recently went to Dr.Schoenfeld for a tonsillectomy, I'm in my 50's and Tonsills were so infected I was sick frequently. He immediately made me feel at ease both before and just prior to the surgery. He has a warm and friendly bedside manner and took the time to answer all my questions. I'm almost 4 weeks post surgery and had zero complications and am healing well and am feeling great. Bonus that he's double board certified as a plastic surgeon. Had my eyes and forehead done too at the same time and am so pleased with the results. Friendly staff and easy booking process. If you like long telephone trees, voice mail messages, self service appointment scheduling, and long waits on hold, then this is the practice for you. It is difficult to get to speak with a person. There is a constant sales pitch for products and services. While on hold or using their electronic system, you are bombarded with sales pitches. The audiologists are sloppy. I had a problem with my hearing aid and needed a new charger. I drove out and was given a charger for the wrong model. Very unprofessional. read more

I've seen a few reviews that were quite negative. My experience today was great. I was on time, I was greeted nicely, I was seen by the audiologist promptly, the testing was done and I was handed over to the Dr. she examined completely, explained things( I'm a Veterinarian so I was spoken to s but differently), my medication was transmitted to my pharmacy , and I was out the door. Reception Desk and Billing office never answer nor return patients calls.

Excellent, excellent service every time. I am currently suffering from vertigo, and having spent my weekend spinning between home and Urgent Care, I went to this ENT at their DC location on 19th St. I was seen immediately, and the staff is compassionate and professional. I was given good explanations of my condition, and was provided with a hearing test and the Epley manoevre (which although terrifying and nauseating, must be endured to make progress). The professional who administered this, was amazing and made me feel safe. I am currently in a neck brace to prevent movement, and am already on the mend. read more

I have mixed feelings about this practice. I was a patient from 2013-2015 until I moved back to my home state. Contrary to other reviewers, I never had issues with billing or the staff. Sure, some staff members were friendlier than others but none are the reason for updating my review. The reason for my updated review is my doctor experience. My main doctor was Jerome Schwartz. I really liked him when I first started seeing him but things went downhill. First, I should say that I think he's a very nice person who cares about his patients. Second, he's a competent surgeon. I first came to see him for 10+ sore throats in the past 1.5 years and he recommended a tonsillectomy (which I wanted). A few weeks after the tonsillectomy, I started having nasal issues for which he ordered various tests. My CT showed I had a deviated septum but he was reluctant to perform a septoplasty. He even wanted one of his colleagues perform this procedure even though it's routine ENT surgery and the colleague was NOT a fellowship trained sinus surgeon. The colleague who did the surgery (Jack Williams) was great, but I don't think I needed to jump through the hoops of having another ENT perform a routine procedure. About a month after my septoplasty, my ears hurt. I initially saw the PA at my PCP practice who prescribed drops to no avail. After a few rounds of meds, she said "your ENT really needs to take care of this problem." So I start seeing Jerome, who says he can't find anything wrong, orders more tests, and refers me to specialists who weren't necessary. I had terrible experiences with the otologists he referred me to (one was quite abrasive) and other specialists (dentists, neurologists) said MY PROBLEMS ARE ENT RELATED. At one point I brought up the possibility of having tubes put in but Jerome was so reluctant that I didn't have the surgery done until about 5 months after the fact. Worst of all, the more I saw him and was in pain, the more he kept saying "I don't know" and acted like *I* was the problem for having symptoms HE couldn't figure out. Dude, you did 5 years of residency for your specialty...figure it out!!! After a year and a half of suffering I had my first ear tube surgery in August 2015. I saw a few ENT's once I moved back to CA in 2016 but it wasn't until February 2018 that my allergist referred me to my current ENT who is AMAZING! My current ENT has not only been knowledgeable and compassionate, but has also been more confident in solving problems much quicker than Jerome has. My ear pain came back in April 2018 and THREE months later, I had my second set of ear tubes put in. Oh yeah, he has been in practice for about half the time Jerome has yet seems more sure of himself (not in an arrogant way though). I have been with my ENT for 8 months and am so happy I don't have to deal with "I don't know" and "you're the problem" attitudes from my doctor. There's nothing worse than going to a doctor and the doctor blaming me for having symptoms. The reason I have not come forward about my upsetting experience with Jerome was that I never saw anyone who I liked better until my current ENT. Now that I know what an amazing ENT is like, I would not see Jerome were I to move back to the DC area. While I did like two other docs in the practice (Jack Williams and Nora Malaisrie), I honestly would rather go to a smaller practice with a doctor who seems more interested in figuring out my often unusual symptoms. read more
