I had high hopes for this place, but sadly was disappointed. The menu is subpar. We went for breakfast and the only option was egg, cheese and bacon or sausage. The everything bagel was drier than stale bread. It was not good. Apparently this is the new it place for hipsters, with crappy overpriced artwork on the walls. Seriously...$900 for a painting that looks like a toddler smeared paint on a canvas? The prices are insanely expensive. 4.20 plus tax for a breakfast bagel. Worst coffee ever too. Best bagel shop in town. They've got a great menu that is pretty straight up. They don't mess around with asiago, dill or raisin stuff. The bagels are the perfect size and are perfectly chewy. Everything is my favorite. It's got salt on it and I think it's a nice touch. Another nice touch is that they hit it with butter after it's toasted. I don't need the butter but no way am I going to tell them to stop. And I love that the bathrooms aren't gendered. A huge pet peeve of mine is when a business has single stall bathrooms that are designated as Men and Women. I'll use whichever is open first but it freaks people out when I come out of the "wrong" one. So thanks for not messing around with that nonsense. read more

Would you want to eat out of a used shoebox? Of course not. That's why I like Feldman's. If you are looking at Feldman's from Cumberland Farms and are thinking of eating some s***ty danish or pre-made something from Cumby's, just don't. This place is clean clean clean. I would eat off the counters if they let me. The staff are friendly, the food is great. I mean, it's tough to mess up a bagel-based breakfast, but businesses somehow manage to do this. Feldman's is just a nice place to grab breakfast or a light lunch. What you see is what you get. There is no variation in coffee, however, but like I said. Simple. Do not overlook in lieu of Myer's or Skinny Pancake...you won't be disappointed! read more

As a baker I got exactly what I wanted from here. Not a supersized 5000 calorie breakfast. A quality bagel, made from scratch, dough made in house. I like that they have a small menu and don't try to be something other than a bagel place. The coffee, I like Vermont Coffee Company, and it tastes like theirs. We enjoy these bagels but every single time we order something goes wrong. We order online and it says the order will be a half hour until it's ready, which is fine. However they don't start making the order until they "accept" it. This time, it took them 48 minutes to accept even though it was supposed to be done in a half hour. If we go in, they tell us they just didn't see the order. And then SOMETIMES we get a call telling us they are out of something, but most of the time they don't tell us until we get there, so we again have to wait for them to put our order together. Almost every time we go they are out of something we want. At 10am they shouldn't be running out of things. Or.... The order is just wrong. Last time, they tried giving my order to the person in front of me. This is so disappointing, especially because we keep giving them chances hoping that it will be better but it doesn't. I think they need a new process or more competent staff. They are usually friendly but not very helpful. read more

The bagel was good, the coffee was alright, the staff was friendly, but the damn WiFi was down. I came to Feldman's to get some work done while enjoying a bagel and coffee. I made sure to ask if there was WiFi and then it wasn't working. Obviously this isn't their fault, but beware that their WiFi is unreliable. Don't get all set up to do work only to have to pack up and head elsewhere like I did. read more

We wanted to get breakfast at a place nearby but they were out of eggs on a Saturday morning. GUH! Almost in tears and on the verge of screaming at each other out of denied-breakfast-anguish, my mom, Andrew, and I spotted Feldman's from the car and decided to give it a try. We were very satisfied! They have a small but well-executed variety of breakfast and non-breakfasty bagel sandwiches (they let me add a fried egg to a BLAT), the coffee is good, and though the shop was small, there was no shortage of seating. I still don't understand why they gave us an order number and then proceeded to call out our order not with the number but thusly: "blatonaneverything veggieonpoppy and loxongarlicforhere" but now I'm just being nitpicky. Infinitely preferable to Bruegger's greasy fare. We shall return! read more

Iwhen I came in, I seem to have interrupted him doing something on his phone. Generally I've been pretty happy with Feldman. Growing up in NY I have a pretty good basis for what makes a good bagel. Last Sunday 7/23/17 was a colossal disappointment. The salt bagels were burned beyond edibility. I couldn't tell the difference between the cinnamon raisin and the blueberry because they had neither raisins or blueberries in them. I hope they were just having a bad day, but the front end staff should never sold this batch. They went straight into the trash bin. read more

Went in with high expectations. Supposedly, this is THE place to get a legit bagel in Burlington. The local hipster paper hath proclaim'd. My sesame bagel was great. Chewy/crusty, slightly salty on the outside, chewy/soft on the inside. And then, there's the weirdly-sweet cream cheese. It tasted a little like that pineapple cheese sold in a juice glass your mom would schmear in a celery stalk. Thing is, I ordered plain cream cheese. it ruined the bagel. Sad face. Excellent bagels. I am from boston, spent time in nyc, and live in los angeles and i know my bagels. So good my mother wanted to bring some back to boston. Great selection of flavors. Being from New York, I LOVE bagels and was so happy to find Feldman's. Nice ambience, friendly staff, and DELICIOUS bagels. Their everything bagel is the BEST! I would also recommend trying the olive & herb: it has chunks of olives in the bagel, and dried rosemary on top. I'm not a fan of breakfast sandwiches, but I hear they actually use fresh eggs, not the powdered stuff. Definitely a must-try. read more

I've visited Feldman's twice. The first experience was quite poor: the food was OK but the prices were high. In fact, I was charged separately for the lettuce and tomato that was added to my BLT. I wasn't sure exactly how to react to that. (Note: Feldman's contacted me and let me know that my experience paying extra for the L and T of a BLT was a mistake. They only charge per-veggie when you order a custom sandwich. It means a lot to me when a local business takes the time to contact people about their reviews with a very positive and constructive attitude. It was an easy decision to revise my review.) The second visit was better. I stuck with a bagel and cream cheese. The prices are definitely still higher than I'd expect. The building is very clean with plenty of seating. There some options I prefer within just a couple miles but Feldman's is worth a visit if you are on Pine St. read more

This small Jewish deli in Vermont puts a smile on my face and a matzoh ball in my stomach. Couldn't be happier with the selection for brunch, lunch, or breakfast. Good bagel place that makes bialy's , basically an onion bagel without the hole . excellent breakfast sandwiches . A bit south on Pine from the center of Burlington . Good coffee at less then hipster prices . Nice place to eat-in or for take-out . I prefer Meyer's bagels themselves but Feldman's is better otherwise . read more

I walked out of my company (new to the area) and went the wrong direction looking for burritos...(World Burritos or some such)...anyways landed here and had a great Roast Beef with roasted red peppers, horseradish mayo, provolone and sliced onion on a sesame bagel...great sandwich...not to mention a nice sunny day walk. Wish there was a 3 1/2 star! I tried out the new bagel shop today and when I walked in the building was very attractive. The place was clean, there were lots of tables to sit at and large windows to look out of. Bagels and counter were displayed nicely with the usual selection of bagels. The staff was friendly. Got a sesame bagel with nothing on it and went home to eat it with my own cream cheese. The bagel was warm in the bag so fresh as can be. I tried the bagel by itself and then with some cream cheese. The bagel was "OK" (hence the 3 star review). Nothing special. Was a bit disappointed because Seven Days gave it such a good review. I really can't say it stood out, still like Myers bagels better. I do think it has a nice atmosphere to meet a friend for coffee though. read more
