We sat outside and decided to split the salmon entrée--and we're glad we did. The portion was enormous and easily enough for two people. The dish was described as roasted salmon skewers, although I didn't actually see any skewers. Regardless, the salmon was perfectly cooked and served over a flavorful medley of vegetables including pan-fried zucchini, roasted eggplant, tomatoes, string beans, green peas, asparagus, fava beans, pearl onions, parsley, and basil. A nice touch was the complimentary bread and olive oil that our waitress brought to the table before the meal. The service throughout the evening was attentive and friendly. Felice has a beautiful, inviting atmosphere and is inspired by Tuscan cuisine. As the original Felice location, it has been around for more than 15 years and offers both comfortable indoor seating and a lovely outdoor dining area. It was the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner before a fun evening of basketball, camaraderie, and cheering on the Knicks. My only issue is that it is a bit pricey. For that, I was glad I split the dish with my friend! The food, service, and ambiance all made for a terrific experience. Update: After posting about my experience, I received a phone call from the manager, who sincerely apologized and acknowledged that a mistake had been made on the restaurant's behalf. They let me know that I would be credited the $10 difference. I truly appreciated the personal outreach, the accountability, and their prompt effort to make the situation right. Because of that, I wanted to update my review to reflect how the issue was handled. I've dined at Felice 64 numerous times over the years and have always had positive experiences, which is why this was so disappointing. After dining there last Friday, I signed both the merchant and customer copies of my receipt with the tip already included. When I later checked my credit card statement, I noticed that the final charge was $10 higher than the total I had reviewed and authorized. I didn't know whether this was an honest mistake or something else, but it was concerning nonetheless. My advice to future diners is to keep your receipt and carefully compare it to the final amount that posts to your credit card. This was the first time I've encountered an issue here, but it's important to double-check your statements just in case. I was especially disappointed because I've always enjoyed dining here. As someone dining alone that evening, the experience left me feeling uneasy, and I felt it was important to bring attention to it. That said, I also believe it's important to recognize when a business responds appropriately. I appreciate that the manager reached out personally, accepted responsibility for the error, and corrected the charge. The restaurant was totally inflexible about making even the slightest change to any menu item. What happened to pleasing the diner? To add insult to injury, the service, the food delivery, and getting the check were all VERY SLOW. You'd think since they do not allow any substitutions and the restaurant is very small, you would get your meal fairly promptly. This was not the case. And the meal was mediocre at best. I will never be a repeat diner to any Felice location. My advice, go somewhere else where they care about making the customer happy. Don't make the mistake we did. read more

We had Branzino which was carefully wrapped in paper, and packed with delicious moist fish and potatoes, olives, tomato, and more. Absolutely stunning presentation and flavors. We also had the Fettucini Bolognese, which was extraordinary. The Arancini were very small for $19, and not very "Italian" tasting, but they had their own style and flavor profile, with a ton of deep cheesy flavors and a light pesto lemon dipping sauce. This location has been in the neighborhood for the ten years I've been here and it's consistently good. The pasta is homemade and the service is excellent. If there's an Achilles heel it's the same for most places today and that's value for the dollar. It's hard to go out as even a party of two now and not drop over $100 before tax, tip, and not including cocktails. It's true...we had the burrata salad (shared), each had a pasta, and shared a dessert...$100 on the nose. Goodness gracious, I thought I had updated my review from 8 years ago, but apparently I must have only updated the review in my head...LOL...So, if you are thinking about dining here, I'd say it's a definite YES!!! I love the homemade pasta, so I'll always ask if this particular pasta I might be thinking of ordering is homemade. I've had the tagliatelle with mushrooms, and right now, I can't recall the last pasta I had, but I can tell you anything I've had, in terms of pasta, has been quite delicious. The last time I was here at Felice, with a friend, I decided to have dessert after my pasta, so I specifically asked if the cheesecake was Italian Cheesecake, which is made with ricotta cheese, instead of cream cheese, like New York cheesecake, and the Italian cheesecake can have a texture that is a little grain-y, in the best way. The male server said yes, that it was Italian cheesecake. But, alas, upon arrival, my friend and I looked at each other, and I said, this looks like regular cheesecake, so I tasted it, and it was NOT Italian cheesecake. And since that was the only cheesecake I felt like eating, I sent the cheesecake back. I would expect a restaurant to know the difference between these two types of cheesecakes. I truly don't know if you can have a bad meal in New York, and Felice 64 is no exception to that rule. The Burrata e Proscuitto is generous and so enjoyable. The Cozze weren't my favorite but we still ate every last mussel so clearly they were just fine. Just two entrees and a split portion of Pappardelle was enough for two people to leave full.
